The article aims to show a practical approach to teaching English intonation with ICT tools confirmed experimentally and in practice while conducting an English Phonetics course at university. The article is based on the author’s dissertation «Teaching emotional intonation with video (2-nd year students at Linguistic University)» (2009). Reaviling linguistic and psychological features of emotional intonation the article shows that emotional intonation teaching is a complex phenomenon including a system of interdependent features – linguistic, paralinguistic and extralinguistic. This approach to teaching intonation provides equal conditions for students with the visual and auditory types of speech information perception to perceive and recognise emotional intonation patterns in communication. Educational video courses are considered beneficial to demonstrate verbal and non-verbal features of emotional intonation in a communicative environment. Besides, the article presents step-by-step teaching of emotional intonation based on carefully designed exercises: pre-communicative (receptive: recognition, differentiation and reproductive: imitation, imitation with a key, substitution, transformation, sounding) and communicative (productive: sounding and dramatisation); paused and synchronous. The examples of exercises with detailed descriptions of activities are displayed as well. Furthermore, a model of teaching emotional intonation shows stages of using video and performing communicative activities. After experimental learning, all 60 (100%) students achieved proficiency levels, primarily «proficient», and «advanced». On these grounds, is formed the students’ willingness to independent economic activity. Therefore, the content of curricula is improved to understand and form a variety of economic concepts for primary school students. The focus of attention is upon the requirements of great scientific motives, practical skills etc. The economy in primary school should be «transported» on the basis of knowledge, skills and abilities that students received in preschools and families. Students’ knowledge is integrated into the content of other educational fields of knowledge (mathematics, reading, technology, «I explore the world»), in particular primary school students ‒ this is the stage of acquiring basic life knowledge, skills and understanding processes, awareness of their own life experience and environment. Students are involved in the basics of economic literacy, accordingly, they form new economic thinking, get acquainted with the life of people and animals, their needs and ways to meet them, economic laws, creates a basis for further study of economic disciplines in secondary education. Ample attention is also paid to forming such concepts as «economics», «thrift» and «pupil» which are looked, at first sight, distant from each other. But if we consider it as a branch of «smart housekeeping», the economy is looked inseparable from the child from the first life years of the team. It has been underlined that the child’s first acquaintance with the basics of economic knowledge occurs in preschool, when, getting acquainted with the world around him, he first learns that the wealth of the family depends on the father’s and mother’s work, the money used to purchase necessary things in the store. It is noted that innovations in education should be focused primarily on the spiritual, human nature of innovative transformations, cultural and professional development of students, stimulate creative thinking, form a spiritual value system, willingness to make decisions and be responsible for them in constant change, risk, innovation. The concept of «principles of innovative education» as a starting point of a systemic nature aimed at improving the quality of innovative education, in particular, improved or new educational systems, components of the educational process, educational technologies, scientific and methodological developments, technical means of educational institutions. The content of the principles of innovative education is defined, substantiated and characterized through the prism of a systems approach: the principle of global goal, the principle of integrity, the principle of structure, the principle of hierarchy, the principle of functionality, the principle of functionality, uncertainty. The leading role of people with higher education in ensuring sustainable development, which requires adequate social responsibility of universities in their training, is substantiated. A critical analysis for the theoretical discourse on social responsibility is carried out. Contradictions of methodological nature both in the theory and practice of realization of social responsibility are revealed, without elimination of which development and implementation of adequate policies and mechanisms of its realization is impossible. Ways to overcome the identified contradictions are identified. Author’s definitions of key terms are presented, in particular: «social responsibility» and «social responsibility of universities». The dimensions of sustainable development of social responsibility are conceptualized. Theoretical models of cooperation between universities and the respective societies depending on the demand for social responsibility in the dimensions of sustainable development are proposed. It has been established that in Nakhchivan, which is an integral part of Azerbaijan, special attention has always been paid to education. During this period, the conditions for the development of democratic thought were created in Nakhchivan: a socio-political movement unfolded; first of all, the famous intelligentsia of Nakhchivan began to discuss a wide range of national issues and educational ideas. The theoretical ideas and practical activities of intellectuals-enlighteners created the basis for increasing the number of new educational centers in the Nakhichevan region and for achieving a high level of enlightenment. As a result of the influence of the socio-political movement, an extensive system of education was created in Nakhichevan, the conditions for the introduction of free and general education in the native language were created, and the pedagogical movement was revitalized. The study determined that educational reforms related to the creation of secular schools, teaching of secular sciences in schools along with religious ones, professional training of teachers on the basis of national ideology, teaching students and compiling textbooks in their native language , using new teaching methods, involving girls in education, etc. It was determined that at the end of the XIX century – at the beginning of the XX century. the school in Nakhchivan was not satisfied only with teaching people elementary literacy; education provided knowledge in the field of national and spiritual unity, social and political activity, solidarity, law, morality, national liberation and freedom. The struggle for a new school, progressive changes in education contributed to the development of enlightened ideas in Nakhchivan and gave impetus to the formation of a local educated class. The research was based on identifying current trends and features of postgraduate education in the Ukrainian educational space, due to the influence of external and internal factors and illustrate the positive and negative trends of its development, allow to design prospects for this area of education and take into account the expansion of educational services. The consideration integrity of postgraduate education phenomenon is achieved by emphasizing the connections of postgraduate education with society development and adult education system in general, through the analysis of theoretical, organizational, procedural and content aspects of its development. In the conclusion is substantiated that the needs for education and training, retraining, advanced lifelong training are one of the basic human needs in the knowledge society. Emphasis is placed on the fact that postgraduate education is an important component of adult education in the system of lifelong learning. The essence and significance of postgraduate education in the context of personality professional development are characterized. The current state and problems of postgraduate education development are outlined. It is emphasized that the current problems in the field of postgraduate adult education in Ukraine are due to changes (financial and economic, socio-political, structural, communication) caused by the active phase of Russian war against Ukraine. The necessity of solving the problems related to the imperfection of normative-legal, as well as resource provision (personnel, finances, material and technical means, etc.) of postgraduate education is proved. The designing of a working curriculum is one of the most important aspects in the process of planning in terms of the professional training of each specialty. The necessity of its review and updating on the yearly basis is proved in the article. The goal and aims of the discipline «Professional Communication in a Foreign Language» are based on the program of education and professional training for the students of the second level of higher education (Master) 024.00.01 «Choreography» are presented by the author. For instance, the need for the development of the competencies that allow communicating with the representatives of the other professional groups is granted by the content. The expected learning outcomes for 024 Choreography specialty students are discussed. The used references for the course design are reviewed. The structure of the working curriculum as well as its integration with the certified course for distance learning on the Moodle e-learning platform has been described in the article below. The results of students’ questionnaires based on the completion of the discipline «Professional Communication in a Foreign Language» course are revealed and discussed. The authors reveal theoretical approaches to the problem of defining the concepts of «education», «blended learning», «distance learning». Based on the theoretical analysis on the essential features of modern society in general and the education system in particular the following issues are highlighted: forced isolation and migration of a significant part of citizens, search for new directions of formation and improvement of teachers’ professional skills; identification of forms and methods as well as determination of the main factors of formation and improvement of a university teacher’s professional skills. Peculiarities of mixed and distance mode of educational process organization are indicated. System principles of open education are listed (mobility of the whole educational process, equal access to educational systems, provision of quality education, formation of structure and realization of educational services). The need to create a single information and educational space for the educational process of student’s training is noted as the article describes its main features. In the context of improving the professional skills of a university teacher, different approaches to the interpretation of the skills of a university teacher are proposed; the research on the system of adult education is closely related. The tasks of the state policy in the field of adult education on the basis of normative-legal documents are listed. The leading factors of formation and improvement of a university teacher’s professional skills (self-motivation, mobility, self-satisfaction and self-encouragement) are singled out; their thorough characteristic is given. Emphasis is placed on the creation of a single digital educational environment of the educational institution. Significant benefits are identified for all participants, including teachers. Community service is distinctly linked to the curriculum and the subject area of the study programme; theoretical learning is complemented by service that augments students’ specific and general (transversal) competences. Service should be genuine, meet the real needs of a community, merge learning with practical activity and target personal development of service beneficiaries who are actively engaged. Students, though they work under guidance and coordination of their teachers, are expected to play an active role in service learning planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation; they should demonstrate leadership and agency during service learning. Service learning is a flexible and allowing for variability teaching and learning method, which precipitates its effectiveness and attractiveness. Empirical methods, statistical methods (building a Pareto chart), analysis and synthesis were used during the research in order to assess the risks and weaknesses of distance studying, determine the level of quality of educational services, as well as justify proposals and practical recommendations. In the process of research, it was found that the following factors, the impact on which will make it possible to solve the problems of improving the quality of distance education in GSEI in general by at least 80%, were: low motivation of students; insufficient digital infrastructure in GSEI; ineffective interaction with the participants of the educational process; managers lack previous experience in remote work organization; limited technical support of the distance studying organization. However, the main factor in identifying quality assets and shortcomings should be the education seekers, as consumers of the services provided to them. The introduction of leadership approaches and the use of the concept of leadership-service is a way to revive the lost desire to experiment and create in the pedagogical team in order to improve quality.
