The geometry of the surface can be switched by means of diodes directly biased through the two metallic planes without employing any further dedicated network. Variations of both geometrical and material parameters have been considered in the electromagnetic simulations. The frequency behavior of the proposed structures, devised for filtering applications and featuring several electromagnetic band-gaps is reported by means of dispersion diagrams. The large number of band-gaps and their variation makes the structure suitable for high sensitivity sensors or filters with high steep roll-off.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124746162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because the architecture of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server system is a three-tier architecture, it's possible to develop web business applications of ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) and/or Java type. The web applications for the preformed study were implemented on the trial version SAP NetWeaver Application Server and programmed by means of ABAP language. In these scenarios, which are intended to cover a lot of ground or even operate in difficult radio environments with strong attenuation, the simple and direct communication between source and destination is not always possible, due to the distance restriction. To overcome these facts, there are required multi-hop algorithms considering the optimization of consumed energy, to enhance the network lifetime. In order to enhance overall network lifetime two methods were used, based on data aggregation and routing techniques.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130477816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method usually requires repetitive mesh extraction for 103 − 105 time steps, making it essential that it works as fast as possible. Now we present a fast algorithm for extracting the space-time window from finite volume meshes in order to achieve practical performance. We take advantage of particular geometric properties for our extraction in order to speed-up the process. The results show that our approach is practical and can reduce computational time from days to minutes.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125077491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Software reliability growth models attempt to predict the number of defect using a correlation between exponential function and defect data. The purpose of this paper is to study the evolution of a real-life product over three releases, using the Rayleigh function in order to predict the number of defects. Our paper offers two possibilities for computing the model parameters, and then we should be able to decide which is better and what can be improved. Results from this study will be used to determine which approach is best to be used.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126214867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The correct extraction of information is very important especially in an eLearning environment. We can ensure correct distribution of important data (contact information, calendar events, and locations) by encapsulating that information in the correct formats and rely on automated agents for data processing. In this paper, we propose a model of republishing the user contact information from Moodle in hCard and vCard formats, and also QR codes for mobile tagging. The deregulated environment operating conditions are leading to new challenges for the power system (congestions). Taking into consideration these facts, new tools and methodologies are necessary to be developed, according to the actual conditions. For the beginning, within the paper, the congestion management problem is tackled. Considering a real power system case study, probabilistic congestion analysis is performed using a software tool developed by the authors (in Matlab environment). Based on the results and discussions the transmission expansion planning approach is performed. This paper aims to elaborate an original mathematical model used for transmission expansion planning in case of deregulated environment. The Romanian Power System is used as a case study.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128095485","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
