Neural networks are an interesting application for which an ASIP can be tailored to increase performance, lower power consumption and/or increase throughput. Here, both the bidirectional associative memory and hopfield auto-associative memory networks are run through an automated instruction-set identification algorithm to identify and select custom instruction candidates suitable for neural network applications. Clusters of neural networks are highly parallel, and therefore it is interesting to consider a homogeneous multiprocessor composed of ASIPs. The two legacy neural network applications showed a 18–120% improvement with the automatic hardware/software partitioning for a uniprocessor ASIP. However, due to pointers and function calling which did not resolve to hardware, the acceleration was concentrated in the network initialization part of the code.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129669615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Valorising some products and services through the Internet may be performed by choosing an appropriate Web technology. Due to the fact that in many small and middle-sized enterprises ERP (Entreprise Resources Planning) systems SAP integrated are implemented, we have been preoccupied by the way in which tri-dimensional graphic may be used in order to promote certain products in Web Dynro for ABAP (in shortg WD4A or WDA), the last/ latest SAP technology to develop Web applications in ABAP environment. The attractiveness of this technology is encouraged by the possibility to deploy better forwarding performance, constrained based routing restricted by the network resources and Quality of Services (QoS), faster and more predictable recovery capabilities revealed in case of topology changes than conventional hop by hop routed IP networks. More and more ISPs aware by the presence of the MPLS domain search further to outperform their existent network by adding multicast traffic distribution streams capabilities in order to offer superior quality services such as IP multimedia multicast transmission without affecting customer's service level agreement (SLA) expressed through QoS, but instead to improve it. This paper, presents a solution for IP multicast distribution using PIM-SSM protocol with differentiated services (DiffServ) within MPLS-TE. The collected results for IP multicast traffic in the presence of DiffServ QoS applied to network resources are compared in order to prove the advantages offered by the DiffServ aware LSP of the MPLS-TE forwarding mechanism.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126712179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The kind of techniques that are used usually are vocabulary-independent, using only the acoustic information available. In this scenario, however, we rely exclusively on the acoustic model, which is a drawback when it is unreliable; for example when the input is noisy. In this paper we investigate the possible accuracy of spoken term detection when the recordings were obtained using small-capacity, portable devices (wireless sensors) that have a quite low-quality microphone. The accuracy scores show, however, that despite the high amount of noise in the input recordings, our spoken term detection method can still produce an acceptable level of accuracy.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"516 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116220480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, quality assessment is important since it can cut costs in the product life-cycle. A software quality assessment model based on open-source analyzers and quality factors facilitates quality measurement. Our quality assessment model is based on three principles: mapping rules to quality factors, computing scores based on the percentage of rule violating entities (classes, methods, instructions), assessing quality as a weighted mean of the rule attached scores.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129802844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its treatment represents a real challenge of nowadays medicine and requires a complex and multidisciplinary management. That implies the necessity of a real team work, as well as computer-based record of the osteoarthritis patients at least at a regional level. There has in view an efficient communication among orthopaedic surgeon, rehabilitation physician and general practitioner. Patients' accessibility to the network will assure a useful and easy patient-physician communication. The computer-based record will provide precise and complete data of clinical, investigatory and functional osteoarthritis patients' parameters. The final goal is a better quality of life in osteoarthritis population who needs conservative or surgical treatment. That reveals the importance of an interdisciplinary medical team sustained by a real electronic health record.","PeriodicalId":334381,"journal":{"name":"2011 6th IEEE International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130195445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
