Television advertisement is still the main advertising platforms that brands choose to advertise their product or services. This is because, television has a big reach and consumers presupposes that brands who advertise on television are well established, hence making it one of the factors brands still consider advertising on television. When it comes to advertising, the copy is indeed important in order to convey the message towards the consumers, in which metadiscourse plays a big role in shaping the contents of the advertisement. For this study, if focuses on the consumers presupposition towards the presence of metadiscourse in product centric Malaysian food and beverages television advertisement. The methods used are qualitative methods, where 30 Malaysian subjects chosen at random are show 10 Malaysian food and beverages television advertisement. The results shows that the consumers presupposes that metadiscourse helps them to understand the message of the advertisement better and how the target audience influences the use of metadiscourse in the content of the television advertisement. The rapid development of the tourism sector will consequently lead to the high influx of tourists to the tourist destination. However, uncontrolled tourism development can have negative impacts on the environment. The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of the residents on the environmental impact of tourism development in their area. A total of 200 questionnaires were applied in Perhentian Island by using a simple random sampling method. The collected data were analysed using descriptive statistics, reliability test, factor analysis, independent ttest, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression. The results of this study showed that 38.855% of variance of residents perception has been explained by natural resources of tourism, 23.163% of variance has been explained by environmental concerns of tourism and 16.210% of variance has been explained by environmental pollution of tourism. There were significant differences in variables such as age [F (74,125) = 1.574, p=0.013] and monthly income [F (74,125) = 2.424, p=0.000] with resident perception of the overall impacts of the environment. Further, the components of environmental impact namely natural resources, environmental concern and environmental pollution, are predictors of resident support for the tourism sector [F (3,196) = 4.704, ρ<0.05] in Perhentian Island. As a conclusion, this study has provided a clear picture of the environmental impacts of tourism development and residents support for tourism development in Perhentian Island. Abstract This study is to explore the influence of cooperative atmosphere, work motivation and leadership style of principals on teacher job satisfaction. The survey will enable a route analysis or path analysis to be performed to develop influence models on factors regarding cooperative atmosphere, work motivation and leadership style on job satisfaction. This study is important because some view shows that there is a decline in the Indonesian education system in producing quality work force despite the Indonesian government's efforts to improve the well-being of teachers through improving the service scheme. The result shows that in terms of gender, age, education and length of service, that teachers have created a very good atmosphere of cooperation between teachers and between teachers and principals. Kozinet’s model of Netnography within the ethnographic framework was used to describe the online communities or groups in the virtual world, where people are represented by avatars. Data were collected via online interviews with participants selected from the SL1Malaysia group based on two a priori criteria. These participants consisted of six active, closely-knitted, loyal members inhabiting the virtual environment of Second Life. The worldview elements contributing to the real-world escapism were examined through the representation of the participants’ senses, thoughts, and actions via their avatars. The participants listed several reasons leading to real-world escapism, such as relief of real-life stress, neglecting real-life responsibilities, and obsession, among others. Corona virus disease 2019 is highly dreaded due to its high infectious capacity and its worldwide coverage. It violates geographical boundaries to attack people of all colours, races and ages, which represent the human resource of the organisations and countries. When the health of the employees is compromised, the productive activities within an organisation and nation will suffer. Using secondary source of data, it was discovered that there is high reduction in the quantity of goods and services produced on the part of the organisations, thereby resulting in low mobility of labour, low recruitment, poor human resource planning, reduction in wages and salaries, frustration of employment contracts and layoffs. The participants in this study were 60 Part Three Diploma students from UiTM taking an English proficiency course known as ELC231 (Integrated Language Skills III: Writing) from two different randomly selected classes. The experimental group, consisted of 30 students used IQ-AWG for essay writing; whereas, the other 30 students in the control group learned essay writing without it. Two experienced ESL writing instructors were selected to evaluate all participants’ essay marks against CEFR. The students in the experimental group were given Post-instruction Questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the quantitative and qualitative measures. The T-Test was used to support the data analysis. The results indicated a better writing performance from the experimental group with the use of IQ-AWG. However, many studies reported that self-control among drug addicts are still low, indicating problems in a drug-free life. This study therefore aimed to investigate the relationship between self-control and its dimensions with hope. This study also aimed to examine self-control dimensions as predictors of hope. This study employed a cross-sectional survey to collect data. A total of 244 samples were selected randomly from drug rehabilitation centers in Malaysia. Data were collected using a set of questionnaire consisting the SelfControl Scale (SCS) and Herth Hope Scale (HHS). The data were then analysed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. Results showed significant correlation between four dimensions of self-control (impulsivity, simple task, self-centeredness and temper) with hope. However, results found no significant correlations between risk-seeking and physical activities. In addition, impulsivity and temper were significant predictors towards hope. This study showed the significance of self-control to be incorporated in rehabilitation programmes of drug addiction to increase the effectiveness of treatment. The idea of this educational practice has been widely accepted by most of the countries, and being applied in primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. The perceptions, effectiveness, and challenges of implementing flipped classroom has always been one of the popular fields of studies by researchers all over the world. The literature review shows an internationally extensive view of international studies on the perceptions of teachers and learners towards the implementation of flipped classroom, especially in the English Language teaching and learning classroom. This systematic literature review comprehensively analysed 18 articles from the year 2016 until 2020 including full-text articles from online sources for better review. The main findings of the past studies were being displayed in tables for better understanding.
