Educating children properly and optimally is the duty and responsibility of parents and educators at the same time. Pesantren is a sub-culture is faced with the demand to develop noble life values not only for Islamic religious affairs. Furthermore, the role taken is not only an effort to instill science to the students but also the cultivation of moderate character values and noble morals. This article with a theoretical approach seeks to analyze the efforts that have been made by pesantren so far in instilling moderate character values in their students as a methodological offer to instill moderate character values in a wider and more diverse scope. \u0000This research is library research. In this study, the author used text sources both primary and secondary related to Pesantren in an effort to instill moderate character education for students and analyze and examine important factors that can be used as a spur in instilling the value of religious moderation. \u0000The results obtained in the study are that there are four important factors in an effort to instill a moderate attitude in religion. The aim of the study is to know the leadership of the headmaster of the school in improving the teachers’ commitment, work motivation, and obstacles experienced by the school headmaster in improving the teachers’ performance at MTs Al-I'anah. The study used the descriptive method. The data collection techniques were observations, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this research were the headmaster of the school and the teachers of MTs Al-I'anah. The results of this study indicate that the principal's leadership is the most important and urgent variable in improving quality human resources and Islamic educational institutions. Improving the quality of good human resources needs to be carried out by school principals through existing activities in management functions, namely by carrying out planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all tasks that have been given to all school members, so that it will produce a good performance. and will be able to realize the vision, mission, and goals of Islamic educational institutions. With the main problem being the source of the problem, as we know that to achieve the learning objectives good Class Management is needed, but in the current situation due to the Covid 19 pandemic, not all schools implement face-to-face learning policies but online, the authors found in schools MTs Pondok Pesantren Sabilul Hasanah applies a face-to-face learning policy but in accordance with existing health protocol procedures. In this study, the author uses qualitative descriptive research. The data collection techniques in this study were through observation, interviews, and documentation. While the techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, so that the data can be known well, and for the validity of the data using triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of class management during the covid 19 pandemic at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sabilul Hasanah had been carried out well, in the implementation of class management activities it was divided into two, namely student arrangements including behavior, discipline, passion for learning, group dynamics and facility arrangements. including ventilation, lighting, comfort, seating, and student placement. From the two arrangements for class management activities, he has done well.
