First, it describes the reading skills of students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Second, describe the news writing skills of VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. Third, it describes the correlation between reading comprehension skills and news writing skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The results of this study are three. First, reading comprehension skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang are in good qualifications. This was concluded based on an average count of 81.13. Second, the writing skills of news texts for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang are in good qualifications. This can be seen from the acquisition of the average news text writing test count of 81.25. Third, there is a significant correlation between reading comprehension skills and news writing skills of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang at n-1 degrees of freedom and a significant level of 95%. The null hypothesis is rejected and the work hypothesis is accepted because the test result prove the t value is greater than t table 3.81 > 1.68. The data in the study are speeches delivered by the emcee as well as invited guests. The technique of collecting data in this study was using a competent, free listening method and the note taking technique. Based on the results of the analysis can conclude the following points. First, this study found 16 locus speech acts. Second, the illocutionary speech acts found in this study were arrested 27. Each of the illocutionary speech acts is assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. The objectives of the study are four. First, it describes students' writing text description skills. Second, describe the writing skills of students' fantasy text. Third, analyze the comparison of writing description text skills with students' fantasy stories. Fourth, analyze the factors that cause differences in writing description text skills with fantasy stories. The design of this study is comparative. The study population was students of class VII SMP 7 Padang who registered in the 2019/2020 school year as many as 255 students. The research sample of 48 students, determined through simple random sampling technique (20% of the population). The research data were the score of writing skills as well as the results of interviews with students about the skills of writing description texts and fantasy stories. Data obtained through performance tests and interviews. There are four research results. First, the students' writing description text skills are more than adequate (LdC) qualifications with an average of 75.26. Second, the students' ability to write fantasy text is in good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.86. Third, there are differences in writing description text skills with students' fantasy stories. Rendahnya keterampilan menulis cerita imajinasi tersebut disebabkan karena ketidaktepatan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh pendidik membuat peserta didik kesulitan dalam mengembangkan ide, imajinasi dan daya kreativitasnya dalam menulis teks cerita imajinasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut solusi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu penggunaan model copy the master berbantuan media film animasi sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bagi peserta didik. Solusi tersebut membuat daya imajinasi dan kreativitas peserta didik dapat tumbuh secara optimal, degan begitu peserta didik tidak lagi mengalami kebingungan untuk menulis teks cerita imajinasi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks cerita imajinasi bagi peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan berbasis pada pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data penelitian diambil dari observasi, angket, hasil tes dan catatan lapangan. Hasil menulis cerita imajinasi pada kegiatan prasiklus nilai rata-ratanya sebesar 24.6 dengan 0% ketuntasan. Kemudian pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata meningkat tajam menjadi 86.88 dengan ketuntasan 100% dan pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata semakin meningkat menjadi 90.1 dengan ketuntasan 100%. Second, it describes the writing skills text news grade VIII SMP Negeri 12 field. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate comprehension text news against writing skills text news grade VIII SMP Negeri 12 field. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang are registered on the 12th school year 2019/2020, i.e. as many as 282 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 53 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate comprehension text news and score the writing skills test result text news. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the comprehension text news and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text news. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of writing text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 76,42. Second, comprehension text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 73,95. Third, there is a contribution of comprehension in the news of text to the skills of writing news texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 at 15,37%. The type of this research is quantitative research using experimental methods Based on the results of the study, can be concluded three things as follows. First, the writing skills of the exposition text of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang before using discovery learning model are in fair qualifications (61,59). Secondly, the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang after using discovery learning model are in good qualifications (78,26). Third, there is a significant influence in the use of discovery learning models on the exposition writing skills of grade VIII students of Junior High School 31 Padang, so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted in H0 is rejected because the test results prove that tcount is greater than ttable (2,04>1,70). Third, analyze the influence of the use of problem based learning models assisted by audiovisual media on the ability to wite explanatory text for grade XI students of SMK Negeri 9 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experiment methods (quasi experiment). The populasi in this study amounted to 174 students and the sample of this study was class XI PH 1 and 2 totaling 32 students. Based on the results of the study, there are three things below. First, the explanatory text writing skills before using the problem based learning model assisted by audiovisual media are of sufficient qualifications (60,08). Second, the explanatory text writing skills after using the problem based learning model assisted by audiovisua media are in good qualifications (78,08).
