Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu desain Nonequivalent Control Group dengan metode eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 dan siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 di SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. Data yang digunakan dalam peneliian ini yaitu pretest dan posttest masing-masing kelas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 1) model quantum teaching dengan media video animasi efektif digunakan dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen dengan sig. 0,000 <0,05, 2) model konvensional dengan media video animasi efektif digunakan dalam keterampilan menulis cerpen dengan sig. 0,097 >0,05. Media video animasi lebih efektif digunakan apabila bersamaan dengan model quantum teaching karena menunjukkan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti Ha diterima, Ho ditolak terdapat perbedaan. \u0000Kata kunci: keterampilan menulis, teks cerpen, model quantum teaching, media video animasi. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000This study is aimed to 1) describe the effectiveness of quantum teaching model by using animation video as media to experiment group in the writing skill of creating short story for students grade XI, 2) to describe the effectiveness of conventional model by using animation video to control group in the writing skill of creating short story for students grade XI. The present study was categorized as quasi-experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group. The sample of the study was the students of grade XI MIPA 4 and students of grade XI MIPA 5 in SMA Negeri 5 Purwokerto. The data employed in the study was the score of pre-test and post-test of each class. The result showed that 1) Quantum teaching model by using animation video was effective to be used on writing short story  by sig. 0.000 <0.05, 2) Conventional teaching model by using animation video was effective on writing short story by sig. 0.097 >0.05, 2. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The purpose of the descriptive is to describe, describe or depict a systematic, factual, and accurate about the facts, properties, as well as the relationship of the phenomena investigated. This research data is a fact of learning skills for survival in the realization of interviews talk show type of serious discussion and speech in the transcript of the interview performance containing acts of both direct delivered the interviewer as a student of Indonesian Language Education Status. The results of the research there is realization of the continuity of students ' skill in speech taped as much as 92.33%, with the imperative mood-imperatives as much as 3 speech by 0.74%, percentage of forms-mode interrogative-interrogative as much as 297 speech with 73.52% percentage, and declarative mode-form declarative as much as 73 speech with percentage of 18.07%. The purpose of the descriptive is to describe, describe or depict a systematic, factual, and accurate about the facts, properties, as well as the relationship of the antarfenomena investigated. This research data is a fact of learning skills in realization of the continuity and to talk show type light entertainment and speech in the transcript of the interview performance containing follow the research results directly said is there is a realization of the continuity of students ' skill in speech taped as much as 76.77%, with the imperative mood-as 6 speech imperatives with the percentage of 1.51%, other interrogative mode-interrogative as much as 234 speech with percentage 59.10%, and declarative mode-form declarative as much as 64 speech with 16.16% percentage. There are two data of this study, namely the score of the results of the test writing skills in the report text of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 12 before and after using the mind mapping technique based on the discovery learning model. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded three things, namely first, the writing skills of the report report observation text of class VII Padang 12 Public Middle School before using the mind mapping technique based on discovery learning models in the Enough qualifications (C) with an average value of 59.51. Second, the report writing skills of the observation results of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Padang after using the mind mapping technique based on the discovery learning model are more than adequate (LdC) with an average value of 71.74. This type of research quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman, i.e. 70 students. The sample in this research are determined using total sampling total sample that is equal to the number of population that is 70 students. Research data is vocabulary mastery test scores field environment and score news writing skills text.  Research instrument is the objective tests to measure mastery of the vocabulary of the field of environmental and performance tests for measuring writing skills text news. The results of the research there were three. First, mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman are on good qualification. Secondly, the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Pariaman are on good qualification. The design used in this research is the design korelasional. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 16. listed on the 2018/2019 school year, that is 284 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 50 students. Research data is a score test results and score vocabulary mastery test results writing skills text story fantasy. Research instrument is an objective test to measure mastery of vocabulary news and performance tests to measure the writing skills text story fantasy. Based on the results of such research, it can be inferred that the skills of listening text news is correlated with writing skills text news. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data from this study is the use of diction in the description text of SMPN 11 Padang students. The data sources used in this study are the sentences in the description text written by seventh grade students of SMPN 11 Padang. The researcher only discussed and examined 30 description text writtings written by seventh grade students of SMPN 11 Padang. Based on the results of the study, the following points can be concluded. First, the description text of class VII of SMPN 11 Padang in the use of diction is more dominant having accurary, precision, and harmony in word selection. This can be proven from 30 student description texts consisting of 96 paragraphs, 332 sentences, and 3,567 dictionaries. There are 3.126 accurary in word selection, 3,507 precision in word selection, and 3,494 harmony in word selection. Second, from the student’s description text, it can be seen that there are still students who don’t understand about the use of diction. It can be seen from 3,567 diction used, there are still innaccuracies in the diction as much as 441 words, the accuracy of diction is 60 words, and the incompatibility of diction is 73 words. Thirdly, analysing the contribution of the reading skills of critical writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. Type of this research is a descriptive method quantitative research. The design of research i.e. research korelasional. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan 2018/2019 school year with a total of 50 people scattered in two classes. A sample of these studies amounted to 50 people. Sampling techniques in the study are the total sampling. Variables this research is critical reading skills as free variables (X) and writing skills text exposition as a variable (Y). The instruments used in this research is an objective test for critical reading skills and test performance for writing skills text Exposition. The results of the research there are three, as follows. First, critical reading skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan qualified enough, with an average value of 57.08 is under the KKM (75). Second, the skills of writing a text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan qualified enough, with an average value of 59.67 is under the KKM (75). Third, there is a positive and significant contribution between critical reading skills with writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan at significant level 95% and the degrees of freedom (dk) = n-1 because thitung > ttabel IE 3.03 > 1.68.  Based on the results of this study it was concluded that there is a linear relationship between critical reading skills with writing skills text exposition of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan with a confidence level of 95%. In other words, if the student's critical reading skills are good, then the exposition text writing skills students are also good.
