The research methodology is formed by general scientific and special methods of studying the problem, the use of which allowed the authors to achieve the goal. The combination of the methods used helped to clarify the logical sequence and trends in the development of applied social and communication technologies in the modern information space of society. The basic principle was the principle of historicism, which implies consideration of any phenomenon in its self-development under the influence of various factors. The historical and systemic method is aimed to analyse society as a whole and the transformations within it caused by changes in the information and communication space. Quantitative methods are used to process the results of analytical research and to diagnose the phenomena under study. The scientific novelty of the work is to expand the understanding of the trends in the development of applied social and communication technologies in the medical field. The authors' study analysed modern domestic medical information systems, the possibilities of their interaction with eHealth, and identified priority technological areas in the medical sector, such as virtual reality, 3D printing, robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, a global network of medical facilities, wearable devices, smart technologies, and precision (personalised) medicine. The authors state that in recent years, attention has increased to applications, mobile sensors and digital media in order to get help in maintaining one's health. Conclusions. The research methodology is based on the application of the theory of scientific communication, general scientific and special methods of cognition, including analysis, synthesis, monitoring, and comparison. The scientific novelty of the study is to expand the understanding of the current situation of demand among users of scientific and educational resources of institutional repositories of higher education institutions for the training of specialists in the field of information, library, and archival studies. Conclusions. The article analyses the institutional repositories of ten higher education institutions for training of specialists in the field of information, library, and archival studies using Webometrics, QS World University Rankings, and SimilarWeb. Despite the high-ranking positions of the leading higher education institutions in Webometrics and QS World University Rankings, user access to institutional repositories remains at an insufficient level. A study based on web analytics by SimilarWeb has identified four leading HEIs by the number of visits to their repositories by users: Western Ukrainian National University (WUNU), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (TSNU), National Aviation University (NAU), and Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University (VNU). The level of use of the main communication channels (direct access, regular (standard) search, referrals, e-mail, social networks) for the use of repositories by each higher education institution is also determined, and recommendations are given on the promotion of scientific and educational resources of repositories and the use of PR and advertising technologies by librarians and all participants of scientific communication of higher education institutions to improve its quality in the modern educational space. \u0000Key words: institutional repository, higher education institution, electronic archive, training of specialists in the field of information, library, and archive studies, communication channels, scientific communication.","PeriodicalId":318806,"journal":{"name":"Scientific journal “Library Science. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the further development of views on the creation and functioning of an electronic scientific and technical library in the context of the implementation of the principles of open science and open access to scientific and informational resources. Conclusions. The study considers the main areas of development of electronic resources, such as access to digital libraries, online catalogues, and databases, providing quality information support for research and teaching activities of students and faculty, as well as improving the digital user service system. The research methodology involves a multi-level approach to analysing the integration of electronic resources in the library environment of higher education institutions. Firstly, a thorough review of the scientific literature is conducted, covering the issues of introducing digital technologies and electronic resources in the educational process and library work. Subsequently, practical examples of successful library modernisation in higher education institutions libraries are analysed in order to identify key success factors, advantages, and challenges on the way to the development of digital tools and services. The research results will help identify trends and prospects for the development of digital libraries. A particularly important element of the methodology is conducting surveys and interviews with professionals in library science, faculty members, and staff of higher education institutions. Engaging various groups of employees will enable a detailed understanding of the needs, attitudes, and beliefs regarding the integration of electronic resources, as well as their impact on the learning and cognition process. The application of these methods in a comprehensive manner will contribute to the creation of a generalised understanding of the problem and the development of effective recommendations for the integration of electronic resources into the library environment of higher education institutions. Scientific novelty. The study focuses on the changes that are taking place in the libraries of higher education institutions as a result of digital transformation and highlights the importance of adapting to new technologies and user needs. Conclusions. The research findings indicate that integrating electronic resources into the library environment of higher education institutions provides a range of benefits, such as increased accessibility and diversity of information resources, improved service, and user convenience. The methodology of the work consists in the analysis and synthesis of the scientific works of the authors on the research of the outlined problem, a hypothetical-deductive method for outlining the content of the concept of \"educational and professional space of a higher education institution\" and identifying its main components. The scientific novelty of the study consists in characterizing the content of the concept of \"educational and professional space of a higher education institution\", identifying its system-forming components – content and organizational and communicative, and delineating its components both traditional (types of practice as a structural component of the educational process of training a specialist), and innovative - dual education for the training of specialists in the specialty \"Information, library and archival affairs\". Conclusions. The research methodology is based on the application of general scientific methods of cognitive research (analysis, synthesis) and empirical methods of sociological research (survey, document analysis). Scientific novelty. For the first time, the level of awareness of young people and young people aged 14 to 35 years about the life and national-patriotic significance of the personality and creativity of Hryhoriy Savich Skovoroda was investigated. Conclusions. Libraries of Ukraine for youth are important centers that contribute to the knowledge and understanding of Ukrainian cultural heritage by young people. According to the data of sociological studies, it was established that: modern youth are well informed about the life principles and creativity of Hryhoriy Savych Skovoroda; respondents consider the philosopher an example of a strong-willed personality; young people are patriots of their Motherland, who value the history of their region and are proud of Ukrainian culture. It was determined that now, precisely in the period of the national liberation struggle, young people are clearly aware of the value of freedom for the Ukrainian nation, which Hryhoriy Skovoroda professed. The library for youth and youth can hold informational events to popularize the work of Hryhoriy Savych Skovoroda, act as a location for modern youth events. Libraries of Ukraine for youth are important centers that contribute to the true perception of Ukrainian culture by young people. A sociological survey acts as an active way of involving the modern generation in reading and understanding the works of H.S. Methods of content analysis, comparative and analytical monitoring of Internet resources for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage were used to track the state of digital collections in the web information environment. The scientific novelty of the work consists in expanding ideas about the protection, preservation and popularization of intangible cultural heritage at the world and national levels in web information environments. An analysis of four European and two Ukrainian digital collections, representing intangible cultural heritage and hosted on the relevant web information environments, was carried out. Conclusions. At the current stage of our country's development, it is irreversible to join the European integration processes and strive for a worthy representation of Ukrainian culture in the world information space. The creation of a resource of the historical and cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people has become one of the activities of libraries, archives, museums and other institutions related to national memory, an integral part of the national bibliography, archeography and archival studies, museology of Ukraine in its broad sense as a resource of national documentary memory. The article examines four European and two Ukrainian digital collections dedicated to the preservation and popularization of intangible cultural heritage in the web information environment, which represent a sufficient number of intangible cultural heritage elements presented in multimedia resources. Electronic document management, e-learning and cloud technologies, the development and use of social networks cause a change in the content of education in the preparation of future specialists. The implementation of the competence approach in higher education, the formation of communication competence, taking into account the modern informatization of society, is very important. Of course, the acquisition of communication skills is regulated by the standards of higher education, because it is an important component of the educational process. For the specialty 029 \"Information, library and archival affairs\" for the first (bachelor) level of higher education, the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 12.12.2018 No. 1378 was approved, which determined the formation of communication competencies that will be needed by future specialists. The article analyzes the data of the experiment, which was conducted on the basis of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences West Ukrainian National University, to define the level of formation of students' communication competence in accordance with their use of information technologies during the educational process. Conclusions. It was determined that the overall understanding of the interpretation of the electronic information and educational environment is correct, but there is no formed attitude towards information communication competence as such. {"title":"Features of Language Policy in Soviet Ukraine: Socio-communicational Aspect (1960s–1980s)","authors":"H. The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific and special methods of cognition, in particular, periodisation, historical and comparative, typological, statistical methods, as well as a combination of the principles of scientific objectivity and systematicity. Scientific novelty. The article clarifies the features and content of the stages of language policy in the 1960s-1980s in Soviet Ukraine. Separately, on the basis of archival documents, it has been shown that in the second half of the 1980s, under the influence of the processes of “perestroika” and the speeches of the Ukrainian public, the national language policy in the republic changed towards the spread of the use of the Ukrainian language in social communication space, which led to the adoption of the Law “On Languages in the Ukrainian SSR” in 1989. Conclusions. The article shows that the language policy in the Ukrainian SSR in the 1960s-1980s was somewhat ambiguous, which was determined by the ideological line of the CPSU Central Committee. Thus, in the 1960s, there was a departure from the despotic policy of the Stalinist period and a decade of Khrushchev's thaw. During the 1970s and first half of the 1980s, anti-Ukrainian measures based on Russification were launched with renewed vigour. Russian became the language of everyday communication for the majority of the urban population, with the exception of the western regions. From the second half of the 1980s, during the unfolding of the policy of “perestroika” and active public protests against the background of glasnost, certain democratisation and economic reform, the use of the Ukrainian language in state institutions became widespread. In 1989, the Law “On Languages in the Ukrainian SSR” was adopted and remained in force until 2012. The structure of the bibliographic index «History of Ukraine» does not have a subsection or rubric on the history of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people in the 20th century, while in the manual presents many descriptions of researches on this topic. Simultaneously, the bibliographic edition contains structural parts, the titles of which reflect Soviet historiography and propaganda due to the use the words-ideologemes: «liberation» and «reunification» which had already been refuted by modern researchers as the «expulsion» and «unification» or «joining». Therefore, bibliographers should take into account he dominant titles of the submitted descriptions of works, to annotate them and study the historiography of the issues in detail. Such state of the leading bibliographic edition is also the result of the inconsistent policy of national memory on these topics, the lack of appropriate legislation for a long time, and now its imperfection.
