Without empathy, it is difficult to know what others are experiencing because it is not possible to feel and understand the conditions of others. The particular study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Karpman drama triangle technique to increase junior high school students’ empathy skill. The research subjects were six students of eighth grade in Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Turen, Malang. The particular research was Quasi-Experiment using the pretest and posttest design. The instruments were student empathy scale; experimental guidelines; and observation guidelines. The study showed that Karpman drama triangle technique was effective to increase junior high school students’ empathy skill.Abstrak: Keterampilan berempati mendorong seseorang untuk melihat permasalahan dengan lebih jernih dan objektif. Tanpa berempati, sulit untuk mengetahui apa yang sedang dialami orang lain karena tidak dapat merasakan perasaan dan memahami kondisi yang sedang dialami orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan teknik drama segitiga Karpman untuk meningkatkan keterampilan empati siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Subjek penelitian adalah enam siswa kelas delapan SMP Negeri 1 Turen, Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pretest dan posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala empati siswa; pedoman eksperimen; dan pedoman observasi. This quantitative research with descriptive analysis techniques of Multivariate Analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) test involved 62 students of eleventh grade of Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 2 Kupang as a respondent. Data collection technique used the scale instrument of Parental Authority Questionnaire and the International Personality Item Pool. The results showed that: (1) there was no significant influence of parental authority on the subjects’s big five personality, except extraversion; (2) there was no significant effect of gender on subjects’s big five personality; and (3) there was no significant effect of gender interaction and authoritative parenting on subject’s the big five personality. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya pola asuh autoritatif; jenis kelamin; dan interaksi jenis kelamin serta pengaruh gaya pola asuh ototitatif secara signifikan terhadap big five personality. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif uji MANCOVA ini melibatkan 62 siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri 2 Kupang sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan dengan instrumen skala Parental Authority Questionnaire dan International Personality Item Pool . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada pengaruh signifikan pola asuh autoritatif orangtua terhadap big five personality subjek, kecuali extraversion ; (2) tidak ada pengaruh signifikan jenis kelamin terhadap big five personality subjek; dan (3) tidak ada pengaruh signifikan interaksi jenis kelamin dan pola asuh autoritatif terhadap big five personality subjek. The particular study aimed to produce an application of students’ need assessment using short message service (SMS) which fulfill the user and expert acceptability criteria. Research and development design was used to achieve the objectives. The results show that the application has been fulfill the acceptability criteria. Abstrak: Assessment kebutuhan siswa merupakan kegiatan penting dalam Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK), yang dalam pelaksanaannya tidak lepas dari masalah. Masalah terkait rasio; instrumen; dan prosedur haruslah dicari solusinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan aplikasi analisis kebutuhan siswa menggunakan SMS yang memenuhi kriteria akseptabilitas pengguna dan ahli. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan desain penelitian pengembangan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria akseptabilitas. This advice has a characteristic describes the tribe identity of Mandar Tribe. This study aimed to examine the social identity of the Mandar Tribe adolescents in Pappasang as well as the foundation of guidance material. The qualitative study of gadamerian hermeneutics interpreted the social identity of Mandar Tribe adolescents in Pappasang. The findings showed the social identity are: empathy; remind each other; mutual help; solidarity; keep the disgrace on a secret; obedient; generous; democratic. Then, the social identity in Pappasang constructed to be material for guidance and counseling. Abstrak: Pappasang merupakan produk budaya Suku Mandar yang berisi petuah. Petuah tersebut memiliki ciri khas yang menggambarkan identitas Suku Mandar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji identitas sosial remaja Suku Mandar dalam Pappasang sekaligus menjadi konstruksi terhadap bahan bimbingan. Penelitian kualitatif hermeneutik gadamerian ini akan menafsirkan identitas sosial remaja Suku Mandar di dalam Pappasang. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan identitas sosial adalah: empati; saling mengingatkan; tolong menolong; solidaritas; menutup aib; taat; dermawan; dan demokratis. Identitas sosial dalam Pappasang kemudian dikontruksi untuk menjadi bahan bimbingan dan konseling. The research subjects were 21 orphaned students selected using purposive sampling technique. The quantitative research used the latin square method and statistical analysis paired t-test to analyze the data. The analysis technique of the instrument validity use Spearman. Meanwhile, the analysis technique of instrument reliability used Alpha Cronbach. The results showed that bibliotherapy can significantly improve the three factors of resilience. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan biblioterapi untuk meningkatkan tiga faktor resiliensi, yakni: faktor I Have; I Am; dan I Can pada siswa yatim piatu yang tinggal di panti asuhan. Subjek penelitian adalah 21 siswa yatim piatu yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan metode latin square serta analisis statistik paired t test untuk menganalisis data. Teknik analisis validitas instrumen menggunakan Spearman dan analisis reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa biblioterapi mampu meningkatkan ketiga faktor resiliensi. CSFCM is an application of solution-focused counseling integrated with creative arts. The developmental research consisted of three stages: (1) identify the self-regulated learning level; (2) formulating a hypothetical draft of CSFCM to improve student self-regulated learning; and (3) conducting product feasibility testing by experts and practitioners. Data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the CSFCM which consisting five stages of counseling was categorized as feasible to be implement in the schools. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan CSFCM untuk meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa. CSFCM merupakan aplikasi dari konseling berfokus solusi yang diintegrasikan dengan seni kreatif. Penelitian pengembangan ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu: (1) identifikasi tingkat self-regulated learning; (2) merumuskan draft hipotetik CSFCM untuk meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa; dan (3) melakukan pengujian kelayakan produk oleh ahli dan praktisi. The method was a research and development model. The subjects of the research were guidance and counseling experts; educational technology expert; and school counselors. The instrument was the empathy attitude skill scale for students; expert assessment instruments and counselor assessment instruments. Data from the assessment results of guidance and counseling expert; educational technology expert; and three school counselors in three different schools in Malang City showed that the developed products were acceptable and feasible to be used to improve empathy skills as prevention of bullying behavior of junior high school students. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan panduan pelatihan keterampilan sikap empati sebagai pencegahan perilaku bullying siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah model penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini melibatkan ahli bimbingan dan konseling (BK); ahli teknologi pendidikan (TEP); dan konselor sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala keterampilan sikap empati untuk siswa; instrumen penilaian ahli dan instrumen penilaian konselor. Data hasil penilaian ahli BK; ahli TEP; dan tiga konselor sekolah di tiga sekolah yang berbeda di Kota Malang menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan dapat diterima dan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sikap empati sebagai pencegahan perilaku bullying siswa SMP. The true-experiment type quantitative study is conducted by using the pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were 20 non-Javanese students in several universities in Malang City that had low multicultural competence. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was implemented in order to compare the score of the students before and after the treatment. In addition, Mann-Whitney U Test was also implemented in order to compare the level of effectiveness statistically between the control group and the experimental group after the provision of the treatment. The results of the study show that the experimental group has significant mean score of multicultural competence in comparison to the control group. The statement implies that the experiential learning model has been effective in improving the multicultural competence of non-Javanese students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keefektifan model experiential learning dalam meningkatkan kompetensi multikultural mahasiswa luar Jawa di Kota Malang. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis true experiment ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design . Subjek penelitian adalah 20 mahasiswa luar Jawa pada beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di Kota Malang yang memiliki kategori kompetensi multikultural rendah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test untuk mengukur perbandingan skor sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Analisis Mann-Whitney U Test digunakan untuk membandingkan tingkat keefektifan secara statistik antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Hasil yang menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata kompetensi multikultural secara signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol menunjukkan bahwa model experiential learning efektif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi multikultural mahasiswa luar Jawa. The research was a correlational study using Kendall’s Tau-b correlation analysis technique. The respondents were 135 students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teachers Training and Education, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. The data were gathered using the mindfulness scale and the life satisfaction scale. The results of the research showed that there had been positive and significant relationship between mindfulness and life satisfaction among the students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teachers Training and Education, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana with the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.172 and p 0.007 (p < 0.01). The higher mindfulness score, the higher satisfaction score of life, and vice versa  Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara mindfulness dengan kepuasan hidup mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional dengan teknik analisis korelasi Kendall’s Tau-b. Responden adalah 135 mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK), Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW). Data dikumpulkan dengan instrumen skala mindfulness dan skala kepuasan hidup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan dengan arah positif antara mindfulness dengan kepuasan hidup pada mahasiswa BK FKIP UKSW dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,172 dan p = 0,007 (p < 0,01). Artinya, semakin tinggi skor mindfulness, maka akan semakin tinggi skor kepuasan hidupnya, begitu pula sebaliknya. The research method was an experiment with a nonequivalent control group design type. The research instruments were: interview guidelines; observation guidelines; and Fairness Character Measurement Scale. The sample were twelve fourth grade students of Permata Ummat Trenggalek Integrated Islamic Elementary School that was chosen through purposive sampling. The significance score obtained based on data analysis using independent sample t-test was 0.047<0.05. The result showed Roda Pelangi game can improve elementary school students’ fairness character. Based on these results, it recommended: school counselor can use Roda Pelangi game in the guidance and counseling service process, especially to improve elementary school students’ fairness character; further researchers can use Roda Pelangi game to examine other variables and at other school levels using other research designs such as true experiment or guidance and counseling action research. Abstrak : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan permainan Roda Pelangi untuk meningkatkan karakter fairness siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan jenis nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pedoman wawancara; pedoman observasi; dan Skala Pengukuran Karakter Fairness . Sampel berjumlah dua belas siswa kelas IV SD Islam Terpadu (IT) Permata Ummat Trenggalek yang dipilih secara purposif. Skor signifikansi yang diperoleh berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test adalah 0,047<0,05. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa permainan Roda Pelangi dapat meningkatkan karakter fairness siswa SD. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka disarankan: guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) dapat menggunakan media permainan Roda Pelangi dalam proses layanan BK, khususnya untuk meningkatkan karakter fairness siswa SD; peneliti selanjutnya dapat menggunakan media permainan Roda Pelangi untuk meneliti variabel lain dan pada jenjang sekolah lainnya menggunakan desain penelitian lain seperti true experiment maupun penelitian tindakan BK.
