The study used an interrupted time-series design which conducted on an intact group consisting of eight subjects. Data measurements carried out three times in the pre-test and post-test conditions with six forms of achievement motivation scale. The AMT intervention in the psychoeducation frame consists of two strategies, namely achievement thinking and action strategies which are carried out in 12 sessions. The results showed that there is a difference between achievement motivation scores before and after AMT interventions.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan achievement motivation training (AMT) dalam meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain interrupted time series yang dilakukan pada kelompok intak yang terdiri dari delapan subjek. Pengukuran data dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pada kondisi pre-test dan kondisi post-test dengan enam bentuk skala motivasi berprestasi. Intervensi AMT dalam bingkai psikoedukasi terdiri dari dua strategi yaitu achievement thinking dan action strategies yang dilakukan dalam 12 sesi pertemuan. {"title":"Keberfungsian Model ABC Tschudi untuk Internalisasi Budaya Belajar Mahasiswa","authors":"Andi Mappiare-AT, Lutfi Fauzan","doi":"10.17977/um001v4i22019p053","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17977/um001v4i22019p053","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract: This research aimed to find: (1) the difficulties possibly faced by subjects in managing personal construct when filling Tschudi ABC format; (2) key personal construct recognized by subjects in their present and desired positions; (3) the results of subjects’ learning culture internalization to the implementation of Tschudi ABC Model. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research, the empirical phenomenological variant. The observed subjects were determined by purposive sampling, taken from the students of Multicultural Counseling class. The research informants were determined through snowballing. The data collection was conducted via a medium participatory observation and in-depth interview. The individual analysis was employed in the form of dynamic analysis of the research subjects’ individual personality. This research found that: (1) there was a difficulty in the form of contradiction and disparity in personal construct management. According to the subjects, compromise and synchronization of thoughts and attitudes were effective in settling the self-denial and gap; (2) The tendency of the change of subjects’ key personal construct was intentional accompanied by discursive awareness versus withdrawal and stagnant. There was a change of key personal construct to the more productive and non-productive orientation; (3) The function of “good news” versus “bad news” was very strong in the internalization of subjects’ learning culture. Providing “good news” (positive feedback) gave rise to more non-formal and affective internalization of learning culture with the purpose stated consciously and obviously, as well as concrete, clear, decisive, and straightforward plans.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan: (1) kemungkinan kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh subjek dalam kelola konstruk pribadi ketika mengisi format ABC Tschudi; (2) konstruk pribadi kunci yang dikenali oleh para subjek dalam posisi sekarang dan posisi yang dituju; (3) hasil internalisasi budaya belajar subjek atas penerapan Model ABC Tschudi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif tipe penelitian tindakan kelas, varian fenomenologi empirik. Subjek terteliti ditetapkan melalui teknik “purposive sampling”, para peserta kuliah dalam kelas Konseling Multibudaya. Informan penelitian ditetapkan secara snowballing. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi berpartisipasi medium dan wawancara mendalam. Digunakan unit analisis individual yaitu analisis dinamika konstruk pribadi perseorangan dari subjek penelitian. Temuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) ada kesulitan berupa pertentangan dan kesenjangan dalam kelola konstruk pribadi. Approach used in this research was research and development. The development procedure refers to the procedure by Borg & Gall. The two subject groups of program validation in this research and development were two expert validators who were competent in the learning guidance and counseling program and the school counselor group. Data collection instruments used were expert validation questionnaire; practitioner validation questionnaire; and focus group discussion (FGD) guidelines. The data analysis technique used was a quantitative descriptive analysis technique using categorization. The expert validation test obtained a score of 91.50 (good category) and the practitioner test obtained a score of 83.05 (good category). Based on the results of expert validation and practitioner test, learning guidance and counseling program based on SEL is feasible to be implemented.Abstrak: Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan program bimbingan dan konseling belajar berbasis SEL di sekolah menengah atas (SMA), dan mengetahui tingkat kelayakan program bimbingan dan konseling belajar berbasis SEL. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Prosedur pengembangan mengacu pada prosedur Borg & Gall. Dua kelompok subjek validasi program dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah dua validator ahli yang berkompeten dalam program bimbingan dan konseling belajar, serta kelompok guru bimbingan dan konseling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner validasi ahli; kuesioner validasi praktisi; dan pedoman FGD. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kategorisasi. Hasil uji validasi ahli diperoleh skor 91,50 (kategori baik) dan hasil uji praktisi diperoleh skor 83,05 (kategori baik). This research is to find out the effectiveness of adventure based counseling (ABC) program to improve happiness in students. This research was conducted using experimental design with one group pretest-posttest model. The subject of this research was eleven students in the third semester of study program of guidance and counseling, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The pretest and posttest data was collected using a scale which was developed based on Seligman theory. The data was analyzed by non-parametric data analysis of Wilcoxon test. The results show that ABC program does not significantly influence happiness in students, but it gives influence to the aspect of meaningfulness and achievement.Abstrak: Individu yang bahagia cenderung menghasilkan hal-hal yang positif dalam aspek pribadi-sosial; belajar; dan kariernya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan program ABC untuk meningkatkan kebahagiaan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan experimental design dengan model one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah sebelas mahasiswa semester tiga program studi bimbingan dan konseling UAD yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data pretest dan posttest dilakukan menggunakan skala yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Seligman. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data non-parametrik dengan Uji Wilcoxon. This quantitative research used the multiple regression analysis. It used purposive total sampling technique, with sample of 38 students of Department of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM). The results show that intelligence and social self interest of the department of guidance and counseling students simultaneously influence the adaptation skill of 35.9%, while the remaining 64.1% is influenced by other factors.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan dan minat pribadi sosial terhadap penyesuaian diri mahasiswa jurusan bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Teknik sampling menggunakan teknik purposive total sampling, dengan sampel berjumlah 38 orang mahasiswa Jurusan Bimbingan dan Konseling, Fakultas Keguruan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), ULM. {"title":"Pengembangan Skala Keyakinan Irasional dalam Penulisan Skripsi","authors":"D. H. Unfortunately, there are no scales that specifically can measure the beliefs in the thesis writing context. Therefore, this study aimed to develop and validate a scale called the Skala Keyakinan Irasional dalam Penyusunan Skripsi (SKI-S). The scale was developed based on irrational belief construct proposed by Albert Ellis in the context of thesis writing. To achieve the aim, the study applied a research and development design involving four steps: (1) defining the construct; (2) developing the measurement model; (3) carrying out confirmatory factor analysis; and (4) checking the validity of the measurement model. 200 undergraduate students taking their 9th to 14th semester were involved in the study. 86 items were successfully validated which were classified into demandingness subscale (16 items); catastrophizing subscale (20 items); self-depreciation subscale (17 items); and low frustration tolerance subscales (20 items).Abstrak: Beberapa hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa keyakinan irasional berkontribusi pada terjadinya prokrastinasi, termasuk prokrastinasi dalam penulisan skripsi. Sampai saat ini belum dijumpai alat ukur yang secara khusus mengukur keyakinan irasional dalam konteks dimaksud. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah alat ukur yang diberi nama Skala Keyakinan Irasional dalam Penyusunan Skripsi (SKI-S). Skala ini dikembangkan berdasarkan konstruk keyakinan irasional yang dikemukakan oleh Albert Ellis dengan menambahkan konteks penulisan skripsi ke dalam butir-butir skala. Untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah disebutkan, penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pengembangan dengan langkah-langkah: (1) mendefinisikan konstruk; (2) mengembangkan model pengukuran; (3) melakukan analisis faktor konfirmatori; dan (4) mengecek validitas model pengukuran. Subjek yang terlibat dalam pengembangan ini adalah 200 mahasiswa yang terlambat lulus (sedang menempuh semester sembilan hingga 14). Hasil menunjukkan 86 butir SKI-S valid dan reliabel, sedangkan 178 butir lainnya tidak memenuhi syarat. This study aimed to investigating the values of guidance and counseling in Eleganaboi. To investigate the values of guidance and counseling, we use phenomenology qualitative descriptive method. To collect the data, we implemented observation and interview. The observations were carried out during a cultural ceremony in the Luro community. Furthermore, interview was conducted on four traditional leaders. Edicts and transcendental reduction were used to analyze data. The results show eleven fundamental values of guidance and counseling in Eleganaboi. Those values are: gratitude; genuine; humble; honest; discipline; coherent; respect; care; trust; inclusive and togetherness. The community utilized Eleganaboi as a method to guide and counsel each member, including who faced problems in their life.Abstrak: Eleganaboi adalah upacara tradisional masyarakat Luro yang berisi unsur-unsur penting kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai bimbingan dan konseling di Eleganaboi. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Untuk mengumpulkan data, dilakukan observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan pada saat upacara budaya di masyarakat Luro berlangsung. Selanjutnya, dilakukan wawancara pada empat pemimpin tradisional. Reduksi eiditis dan reduksi transendental digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil menunjukkan ada sebelas nilai dasar bimbingan dan konseling di Eleganaboi. Nilai-nilai itu adalah: rasa terima kasih; tulus; rendah hati; jujur; disiplin; koheren; hormat; peduli; percaya; inklusif; dan kebersamaan.
