Usia dini merupakan masa kritis bagi pembentukan karakter seseorang. Banyak pakar mengatakan bahwa kegagalan penanganan karakter pada seseorang sejak usia dini akan membentuk pribadi yang bermasalah di masa dewasanya kelak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh satu kenyataan dan permasalahan bahwa pendidikan karakter anak sejak usia dini memiliki pengaruh yang kuat pada anak dalam pengembangan kehidupan di masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada TK (Taman Kanak-kanak) Khas DT (Daarut Tauhiid) di Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam pada kepala sekolah dan guru PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) di TK Khas DT tersebut. Triangulasi data dan member cek digunakan sebagai alat analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi manajemen pendidikan karakter adalah agar anak memiliki karakter yang “BaKu” atau Baik dan Kuat. Karakter baik yaitu karakter anak yang ikhlas, jujur, dan tawadhu. Sedangkan karakter kuat yaitu anak memiliki karakter disiplin, berani, dan tangguh. Implementasi pendidikan karakter anak dilakukan melalui proses kerjasama yang baik antara guru di sekolah dan orang tua di rumah. Dengan demikian, pendidikan karakter akan dapat diwujudkan sesuai dengan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan, apabila guru dan orang tua dapat memainkan perannya masing-masing dengan tepat. ABSTRACT : “Implementation of Character Education Management in Kindergarten Typical Daarut Tauhid, Bandung”. Qualified characters need to be established and nurtured from an early age. Early age is a critical period for the formation of one's character. Many experts say that the failure of character handling of a person from an early age will form a problematic person in his/her later adulthood. This research is motivated by the reality and problem that the character education of children from an early age had a strong influence on children in the development of life in the future. This study used a qualitative approach with case studies on TK (Kindergarten) Typical DT (Daarut Tauhiid) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews on the principals and teachers of ECE (Early Childhood Education) in Kindergarten Typical Daarut Tauhiid. Data triangulation and member checks used as an analytical tool. The results showed that the management of implementation of character education is for children to have a good and strong characters. Good character is the character of children who are sincere, honest, and humble and simple. While the strong character that children have a disciplined character, bold, and tough. In the context of nation-state in a regional and t o contribute to shaping the discourse on emerging ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) identity, a research on competencies in C ivic E ducation is being proposed. With the advent of ASEAN Integration in 2015, South East Asian nations , specially the Philippines, must develop and prepare policy based curriculums and pedagogical approaches appropriate to the level of competencies of students. The research , using the qualitative method, focuses on how competencies of teachers in selected Normal Schools in C ivic E ducation are being developed. D engan melakukan adaptasi-adaptasi , nilai kearifan lokal menjadi bersesuaian dengan konteks kekinian. Pembelajaran sastra di sekolah , dengan demikian, harus dimaksimalkan untuk membekali siswa agar dapat mengembangkan aspek nilai intelektual, moral , dan sosial. Salah satu upaya inovatif yang dapat dilakukan adalah menekankan aspek karakter melalui eksplorasi nilai kearifan lokal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh formulasi rancangan konsep dasar (filosofis) model adaptasi nilai kearifan lokal dalam pengembangan pembelajaran sastra. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa adaptasi dilakukan dengan penggunaan kearifan lokal sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran; serta membuat komponen bangunan sastra karya kreatif dengan siswa. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran didasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran yang : kreatif, inovatif, koperasi, demokratis, dan kontekstual; bergantung pada nilai kearifan lokal yang memiliki fleksibilitas makna kontekstual; serta prosedur pembelajaran dengan tahapan orientasi, eksplorasi, penciptaan dan aktualisasi, presentasi, dan evaluasi. ABSTRACT : “ Adaptation Model of the Local Wisdom Value in C haracterized Literature Learning”. Education and learning literature in schools, as an integral part of the human development movement of Indonesia, has a strategic role. The nature of literature learning that emphasizes the humanistic side, it is considered appropriate if then used as a vehicle for business actualizing the values of local wisdom. By adaptations, the value of local wisdom to be in accordance with the contemporary context. However, l earning literature in schools should be maximized to equip students to be able to develop aspects of intellectual, moral, and social values. For the purpose of quality assurance of course programs, higher education institutions can contribute meaningfully by applying the principles of tracer study to create sustainable learning empowerment environment for the continuous professional development of past students . Hence, t racer study can be used for the enhancement of quality course programs offered in higher education institutions to be able to meet the demands of changing educational, socio-economic, industrial and technological demands of the new century . This tracer study evaluated the graduate M athematics education program in CGSTER PNU (College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research, Philippine Normal University) in Manila, Philippines . The profile of the graduates of the program was described in terms of biographical characteristics, employment attributes, transition, and professional achievements. Likewise, a retrospective evaluation of the program was also done , which includes the satisfaction of the graduates with services, learning environment, and facilities of the university. The extent to which the graduate M athematics education program contributed to the general and specific competencies of the graduates was also determined. Findings reveal that the graduates are satisfied with the services and facilities of the university. They find the trainings provided by the M athematics education program adequate and relevant to the skills and competencies they need in their work. The formula of redesign of professional education for teachers that was developed by UPI is a response to need for better teacher education. This study focused on philosophy of education in the implementation of curriculum in S tudy P rogram at UPI. In curriculum implementation, aspect of p hilosophy of teaching is very important in the educational institutions. It is applied in the teaching-learning situations, in the conduct of research, and in developing educational policies. Teaching philosophy of individual lecturer is based on the university and faculty’s vision and mission, concept, beliefs, and attitudes on teaching, and how they put these into the teaching-learning process. This has implications to classroom management, pedagogy, facilitating and evaluating learning, and curriculum development. This study presents some empirical base data from two faculties in UPI, namely FIP (Faculty of Educational Sciences) and FPTK (Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education) . Instruments used were questioners, interview, focus ed group discussion, and documentation study. Result show s that the implementation of curriculum and individual teaching philosophies of lecturers are strongly influenced and inspired by institutional teaching philosophy and its vision and mission. The research method used was quasi experiment , with 2 X 2 factorial design . D ata analysis techniques used T wo Ways ANOVA (A nalysis of V ariance ) and Tukey test analysis. The study used correlational research design, which is ex-post facto in nature. Random sampling technique was used to select 264 participants for the study. Two validated and reliable instruments were adopted for data collection , namely TAI ( Test Attitude Inventory) with r = .85 and SHC ( Study Habits Checklist) with r = .61 were adopted to collect data for the study. Four hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 significance level. Findings revealed that study habits and learning outcome of students with special needs are positively and significantly related (r = .380; df = 262; P < .05) ; while negative but significant relationship was found between test anxiety and learning outcome (r = -.480; df = 262; P < .05). Also, there were significant differences in study habits (t = 2.4201; df = 262; P < .05) and test anxiety (t = 1.860; df = 262; P < .05) between male and female (t = 2.4201; df = 262; P < .05). It was , therefore , recommended among others that study skills training should be incorporated into the school curriculum of the Nigeria’s National Certificate in Education P rogramme. Also that students with special needs be encouraged and motivated to inculcate good study habits in their programme. RESUME : “ Kebiasaan Belajar, Uji Kecemasan, dan Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa Berkebutuhan Khusus”. Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan yang dirasakan antara kebiasaan belajar, uji kecemasan, dan hasil belajar mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus di Sekolah Tinggi Pendidikan Khusus di Negara Bagian Oyo, Nigeria. Kajian menggunakan desain penelitian korelasional, yang merupakan “ex-post facto” secara alamiah. Teknik sampel acak digunakan untuk memilih 264 peserta dalam penelitian ini. Dua instrumen divalidasi dan dapat diandalkan, yakni ITS (Inventori Test Sikap) dengan r = 0.85 dan PKB (Pengecekan Kebiasaan Belajar) dengan r = 0.61, yang diadopsi untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Empat hipotesis dirumuskan dan diuji dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.05. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kebiasaan belajar dan hasil belajar mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan (r = 0.380; df = 262; P < 0.05); sementara hubungan negatif tetapi signifikan ditemukan antara uji kecemasan dan hasil belajar (r = -.480; df = 262; P < 0,05). Juga ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam kebiasaan belajar (t = 2.4201; df = 262; P < 0.05) dan uji kecemasan (t = 1.860; df = 262; P < 0.05) antara laki-laki dan perempuan (t = 2.4201; df = 262; P < 0.05). Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut diperlukan suatu “grand desain” pendidikan karakter sebagai bagian dari upaya membangun karakter bangsa. Regulasi pendidikan karakter diatur dalam UU (Undang-Undang) Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang SISDIKNAS (Sistem Pendidikan Nasional). P e nelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konstruksi model pendidikan karakter bangsa dalam mendukung kemandirian pangan dan cinta produk Indonesia berbasis tri pilar pusat pendidikan (informal, formal, dan nonformal) yang berlaku di Indonesia, dari masa pemerintahan Orde Lama (1959-1966), Orde Baru (1966-1998), sampai dengan masa Reformasi (1998-sekarang). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konstruksi model pendidikan karakter bangsa untuk mendukung kemandirian pangan dan cinta produk Indonesia, yang pernah berlaku di Indonesia, sangat beragam; dan semuanya itu tergantung pada politik pendidikan dan kebijakan pemerintah serta nomenklatur masyarakat. Pada masa pemerintahan Orde Lama, pendidikan karakter bangsa dilakukan dalam kerangka “nation and character building”; pada masa pemerintahan Orde Baru, pendidikan karakter dilakukan dalam kerangka stabilitas nasional dan pemantapan jati diri bangsa; serta pada masa Reformasi, pendidikan karakter dilakukan dalam kerangka totalitas proses psikologis, sosial, kultural, dan bersifat multidimensional. National character education has a strategic role in national development. To meet this is needed a grand design on character education as part of efforts to build the nation's character. Character education regulation stipulated in Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System. This study specifically aims to study the construction of the nation's character education model to support food self-sufficiency and love Indonesian products based on three central pillar of education prevailing in Indonesia (informal, formal, and nonformal educations), since the governments era of Old Order (1959-1966), New Order (1966-1998) until the Reform era (1998 to date). Masalahnya adalah adanya kesulitan “ memindahkan ” pengetahuan budaya Bali kepada generasi sekarang melalui sebuah media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsep pemanfaatan keterlibatan dari simbol tradisi sebagai elemen proses komunikasi, melalui sebuah “video game”. Fungsi “video game” dalam konsep ini adalah sebagai media kreatif yang mampu memberikan stimulus dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan minat siswa SD (Sekolah Dasar) dalam mempelajari budaya Bali. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan wacana dalam eksperimen penelitian ini di peroleh karakteristik sebuah konsep “ video game ” yang mampu memberikan motivasi secara implisit kepada anak - anak dalam proses menikmati media komunikasi visual. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa dengan terwujudnya sebuah konsep, logika narasi , dan strategi visual sebuah “ video game ” yang mampu me ng ubah jalan pikiran anak - anak, mengakibatkan terjadinya respon dari stimulus yang dihasilkan pada visualisasi konsep “video game”. Adapun tolok ukur keberhasilan dari konsep yang divisualisasikan kedalam “video game” tersebut, yakni terbukti anak-anak berupaya untuk berinteraksi langsung dengan para pelaku budaya yang sebenarnya, setelah mereka menikmati situasi dan kondisi berinteraksi dalam beberapa waktu dengan “video game” yang diberi judul “Belajar Budaya Bali”. Understanding symbol of tradition (Balinese script) as part of Balinese culture is very important, because when knowledge of Balinese culture faded, then shadow of “destruction” of Balinese culture is getting closer. The problem is difficulty of “transferring” knowledge of Balinese culture to the current generation through a medium. This research aims to find the concept of utilization of the involvement of tradition symbol as element of communication process, through a video game. The function of video game, in this concept, is a creative medium that is capable of providing the stimulus in an effort to increase the interest of Elementary School students to learn the Balinese culture. Di sisi lain, gerakan buruh diposisikan sebagai gerakan ekonomi. Akhir-akhir ini, bangkit kembali cara pandang politik dalam memahami gerakan buruh. Cara pandang semacam itu dipengaruhi oleh teori-teori dari dunia Barat dan Eropa Timur. Teori klasik dari Barat memang melihat gerakan buruh sebagai upaya untuk memelihara dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan buruh. Teori dari Barat ada juga yang menyatakan bahwa gerakan buruh adalah untuk mencapai tujuan ganda, yaitu optimalisasi upah dan perlindungan pekerjaan. Sebaliknya, teori-teori ya n g berkembang di Eropa Timur banyak dipengaruhi oleh pandangan bahwa pekerja itu sebagai komoditas; dan majikan yang mempekerjakan mereka telah melakukan eksploitasi dalam berbagai bentuk untuk mendapatkan keuntungan berlipat. Ada juga pandangan bahwa gerakan buruh adalah sebagai kekuatan transformatif secara sosial dan politik. Artikel ini menjelaskan gerakan buruh di Indonesia dengan menggunakan konsep dualitas. Menurut penulis, gerakan buruh di Indonesia paling tepat dipahami dengan konsep dualitas, bukan dengan konsep dualisme maupun dualistik. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis data sekunder, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tumbuh dan berkembangnya dualitas dalam gerakan buruh di Indonesia tidak bisa dilepaskan dari sejarah kelahiran gerakan buruh, relasi yang khas antara buruh dan negara, pluralitas masyarakat Indonesia, serta industrialisasi yang meluas dan kurang melakukan pendalaman. Menguatnya dualitas dalam gerakan buruh pasca pemerintahan Orde Baru juga disumbang oleh kegagalan pemerintah Soeharto dalam memaksakan gerakan ekonomi bagi para buruh. The study of the labor movement in Indonesia are dichotomous: on the one hand using a political point, both the labor movement as a political movement nor the relation of the labor movement with a political party. On the other hand, the labor movement is positioned as an economic movement. Lately, resurgent political perspective in understanding the labor movement. Such a perspective is influenced by the theories of the West and the Eastern Europe. Classical theory of the West did see the labor movement as an effort to maintain and improve the welfare of workers. Theory of the West, there is also stated that the labor movement is to achieve the dual purpose of optimizing wage and job protection.
