Religion and culture has been integrated in way of life, system social, culture and Islamic values. In cultural perspective, tradition of maulod has become deeping ritual of religion that integrated by values of religion and tradition that connected each other. This study used sociological and religion anthropology approach by using data collection such as observation, interview and library research. The result of this study describe that in maulud tradition in Aceh, there are integrated between religion and culture. Islam influence culture deeply in the same manner as almost whole social life aspects of Aceh community. These are can be found in process of  uroe maulod (the day of maulod ), idang meulapeh (beverage of maulod ) , dzikee maulod (repeatedly chant part of the confession of islamic faith) and Islamic missionary . Indeed, maulod celebration is done not only in a month but also in three months namely; Rabi’ul Awwal ( mulod awai/ the first maulod ), Rabi’ul Akhir ( maulod teungoh/ the middle maulod ) dan pada bulan Jumadil Awwal ( maulod ache/ the last maulod ). Islam dan adat dalam masyarakat Aceh bagaikan zat dan sifat yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lain. Agama dan budaya terintegrasi dalam pandangan hidup, sistem sosial, budaya, dan nilai-nilai Islam. Dari konteks budaya, tradisi maulud menjadi praktek keagamaan yang kental dengan integrasi nilai-nilai agama dan adat yang saling berkelit kelindang. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi dan antropologi agama dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan  studi kepustakaan.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam tradisi maulod di Aceh terjadi integrasi antara agama dan budaya. Islam mewarnai budaya secara begitu kental, sebagaimana juga ditemukan dalam hampir seluruh aspek kehidupan bagi masyarakat Aceh. Hal ini dapat dilihat dalam proses uroe maulod , idang meulapeh, dzikee maulod , dakwah Islamiyah. It is not only expressed through reading and exploring the moral messages, or is treated as magical and powerful objects, but also is an aesthetic reception. For instance using a piece of written verses as accessories at homes, mosques and others. This research is qualitative in nature, employing both literary review and field research. It uses phenomenological analysis and content analysis. The findings show; first, the ideological typology of Quran reception in West Pakandangan involves exegetical, aesthetic and functional receptions. Second, the surface structure of reception symbols presents the religious community. While the deep structure exists in the form of social harmony, social stratification, educational media and pragmatic logical structure on the miracle of Quran. The identity has various and controversial responses when it is socialized among Moslem because Islam is one, namely, Islam taught by prophet Muhammad. Otherwise, the majority of Islamic scholars accepted Islam Nusantara. That Islam is one is substantively true, but it expressed widely including Islam Nusantara. Islam is presented (thought, comprehended, and implemented) through cultural approach. The result leads to the thinking model, comprehending, and implementing Islamic teachings which are harmonious, moderate, inclusive, tolerant, peaceful, and multicultural based. The diverse Islamic thought is caused by local culture, especially Javanese culture, or called cultural acculturation. The Indonesian Islam can be a role model. It brings peaceful and harmonious messages, so it could be socialized internationally and replaced misleading opinion that Islam is full of violence. Islam Nusantara merupakan model pemikiran, pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran-ajaran Islam yang dikemas melalui pertimbangan budaya atau tradisi yang berkembang di wilayah Asia Tenggara (tetapi kajian ini dibatasi pada Indonesia), sehingga mencerminkan identitas Islam yang bernuansa metodologis. Identitas ini ketika disosialisasikan di kalangan umat Islam, khususnya para pemikirnya direspons dengan tanggapan yang kontroversial: ada yang menolak identitas Islam Nusantara itu karena Islam itu hanya satu, yaitu Islam yang diajarkan oleh Nabi. Sebaliknya, banyak pemikir Islam yang menerima identitas Islam Nusantara itu. Bagi mereka, Islam hanya satu itu benar secara substantif, tetapi ekpresinya beragam sekali, termasuk Islam Nusantara. Islam ini ditampilkan (dipikirkan, dipahami dan diamalkan) melalui pendekatan kultural. Hasilnya melahirkan model pemikiran, pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran-ajaran Islam yang ramah, moderat, inklusif, toleran, cinta damai, harmonis, dan menghargai keberagaman. Keberagamaan Islam demikian ini terjadi lantaran perjumpaan Islam dengan budaya (tradisi) lokal, khususnya Jawa, yang biasa disebut akulturasi budaya. Islam Indonesia patut menjadi contoh cara berislam yang demikian. At earlier stage, they learn by listening to chant, folktale, and learning from local Islamic scholars. However, in the modernization era, the tradition is worn off. Modernization has changed the youth at Gayo into spiritual depletion, lack in dynamic and creativity, moral degradation and inadequate friendship. To overcome the education crisis of the children in Gayo, it needs reorientation by integrated approach between the Islamic Shariah and the education tradition of Gayo. It is applied though functioning and coordinating between the official Islamic Shariah, the tradition institution of Gayo, and the deliberative board of ulama. Then, it has tried to reveal its relevance with Islamic education. The data were obtained from the key persons, i.e. warok figure, Reyog Foundation, Reyog teachers, and the supporting artists, which then were described qualitatively to arrange character education module of Konco Reyog based on Islamic education. The finding shows that Reyog’s symbol is loaded with value and meaning, including the educational values. These values have very strong relevance with several values contained in Islamic education. Further, these values are built systematically through school. Its position is quite strong as it is included in the curriculum of intra-curricular as a local content based on the local wisdom. These Reyog Ponorogo art values are possible to be alternative models for character education in order to build noble values and meanings based on Islamic education. Penelitian ini mengkaji pendidikan karakter Konco Reyog di sekolah-sekolah yang digali dari makna simbol seni Reyog Ponorogo. Selanjutnya muatan tersebut dikaji basis relevansinya dengan pendidikan Islam, yang selama ini belum tersentuh. Data yang diperoleh dari orang kunci (key person), yaitu tokoh warok, yayasan Reyog, para pengampu pembelajaran Reyog, dan para seniman pendamping, dideskripsikan secara analitis kualitatif untuk menyusun modul pendidikan karakter Konco Reyog berbasis pendidikan Islam. Temuan pokok penelitian ini adalah bahwa dalam seni Reyog Ponorogo memiliki sejumlah simbol yang sarat dengan nilai dan makna, diantaranya adalah nilai pendidikan. Nilai-nilai tersebut memiliki relevansi yang sangat kuat dengan sejumlah nilai yang terkandung di dalam pendidikan Islam. Pada perkembangannya, nilainilai pendidikan dalam seni Reyog Ponorogo ditanamkan secara sistematis melalui lembaga pendidikan sekolah. Posisinya cukup kuat karena masuk dalam kurikulum intrakurikuler sebagai muatan lokal berbasis kearifan lokal. Their studies on such a case mostly concern with ontological-philological text analysis not directly related with the religious tradition and socio-culture which is more dynamic and realistic. This study employs social definition paradigm and phenomenological theory approach limited to the dialectic pattern between religion and myth in the ritual selamatan of Javanese wedding. The data were collected though interviewing and observing religious leaders, ethnic leaders, and Muslim preacher in Ngajum, Malang. The study found two models of dialectic pattern namely theological-compromistic and theological-humanistic. The earlier describes the theological shift from emotional-naturalistic to rational-formalistic. The later describes the theological shift from personal to social awareness theology. Telaah empirik seputar pola dialektika antara agama dan budaya dalam kasus ritual selamatan pernikahan adat Jawa, belum banyak dilakukan oleh para pakar agama, ilmuan sosial, maupun ilmuan antropolog agama. Kajian mereka terhadap kasus ini pada umumnya masih menekankan pada objek pembacaan teks secara ontologis-filologis, yang tidak bersinggungan secara langsung terhadap tradisi keagamaan dan budaya masyarakat yang lebih dinamis dan realistis. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma definisi sosial dan pendekatan teori fenomenologis, yang dibatasi pada pola dialektika antara agama dan mitos dalam kasus ritual selamatan pernikahan adat Jawa. Data diperoleh dengan cara menginterview dan mengobservasi para tokoh agama, tokoh adat, dan para da’i yang ada di Ngajum, Malang. Penelitian ini menemukan dua model yaitu pola dialektika teologis-kompromistik dan pola dialektika teologis-humanistik. Pola dialektika pertama, menggambarkan pergeseran teologis, dari teologi yang bersifat emosional-naturalistik menuju teologi yang bersifat rasional-formalistik. The research is based on the writer’s experience as students’ field project supervisor of Madrasah Aliyah Wahid Hasyim. The methodology used for this research is qualitative descriptive. Interviews, literature, brochures and media information were analyzed. It is concluded that according to Parangtritis people, the context of Labuhan ceremony is not only the myth of Queen of the South (Ratu Kidul), but they also believe that the most important context of the “Labuhan Ceremony” is grateful towards the God who was supreme over the devolution of grace. Labuhan has effects on their belief, economis, and safety. Tulisan ini mendiskusikan makna tradisi upacara labuhan dan pengaruhnya bagi masyarakat Parangtritis. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pendampingan penulis kepada siswa-siswi Madrasah Aliyah Wahid Hasyim sebagai tugas akhir berupa karya ilmiah berbasis field trip. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, literatur, leaflet, dan brosur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut masyarakat Parangtritis, Labuhan tidak semata-mata hanya mitos dari nenek moyangnya agar terhindar dari kesialan, tetapi Labuhan dilestarikan sematamata sebagai rasa syukur terhadap Dzat yang maha agung atas pelimpahan anugerah yang diterima. The story of Disney’s animated film “Aladdin” is based on the “The Story of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.” The comparison of the two is focused on the aspect of Islamic values, its shifts and changes in the animated film Aladdin. The study applies Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis, by applying the three stages of analysis.  The first level is micro level, on the language practice. In the second level, mezo level, discusses the discourse practice that covers the intertextuality that explore the production and consumption of text as the reference in delivering the ideas. In the third level, macro level, it interprets the social context of particular events. The finding shows that there is a change of discourse of Islamic value which is strongly expressed in the origiinal Aladdin story of “Arabian Nights” especiallly the important role of family. On the other hand, in the animated film Aladdin, remove the discourse of Islamic value and change it into the discourse of freedom. Artikel ini membandingkan dua cerita Aladdin yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Inggris menjadi Arabian Nights dengan judul cerita “The Story of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp,” dengan film animasi produksi Walt Disney Feature Animation dengan judul “Aladdin” (1992). Cerita Aladdin dalam film animasi ini didasarkan pada cerita“The Story of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.” Perbandingan ini difokuskan pada aspek nilai-nilai Islam, pergeseran dan perubahan yang terjadi pada film animasi Aladdin. Studi ini menerapkan Analisis Wacana Kritis Fairclough dengan menerapkan tiga tingkatan analisis. Tingkatan pertama adalah analisis mikro atau aspek bahasa. Pada tingkatan kedua adalah tingkatan mezo, yang menganalisis praktik wacana yang mencakup intertekstualitas yang mengeksplorasi produksi dan konsumsi teks referensi atas suatu gagasan. Pada tataran ketiga, tataran makro analisis difokuskan pada konteks sosial dari suatu peristiwa naratif tertentu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada pergeseran dan perubahan nilai-nilai Islam yang dalam cerita Aladdin. Nowdays, there are various studies regarding Islamic garden. However, in general, the studies do not refer to the Islamic law. This study compares the concept of Islamic garden that emerge in Islamic glory period and the basic concept of Islamic law. The data collection method is study literature from two major literatures in Islam (Quran and hadith), and other literatures (books, journals, and research reports). The result analysis shows concept of Islamic garden does not refer to the primary sources of Islamic law, and it is more restrictive. It is emphasized that basically the planning and designing concept of Islamic garden could be free. In the kinship structure of society of both ethnics, the term clan is unfamiliar. Rather it is known in the community of North Sumatra namely Batak. This paper focuses on describing how the people in Kampung Sawah uses the clan system and whether the surnames given in Kampung Sawah have similarities to those existing in Batak.
