The results of calculations of transients in the event of various disturbances in the distribution network, taking into account the operation of emergency control devices, are presented. The results of comparative analysis of sectionalized and desectionalized distribution grids are presented. The authors hereof propose introducing a load increment safety factor to quantify how sectionalization or desectionalization could affect grid reliability. The paper further substantiates the need for accounting excess disturbances in sectionalized grids to design and implement measures to minimize accident-related losses. It analyzes the effectiveness of applying automatic load transfer (ALT) and draws recommendations on how to implement it.","PeriodicalId":285590,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130499598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the measurement data about electric arc current and phase voltage instant values was gained for the calculation of the electric arc voltage signal. Further, the relative values of odd and even harmonics of electric arc current and electric arc voltage were determined through the Fourier transformation in the switching moments of the operating curve and furnace transformer step. The analysis of the resulting values allowed forming the basis for a principally new melting stage profile for the electric mode control system, based on the data about the harmonic composition of electric arc current and electric arc voltage.","PeriodicalId":285590,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132893362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A graph model of a continuous lagging signal (initial function) is constructed. A graph model of a linear stationary system with a delay in the feedback chain is constructed as a union of graph models of its elements. The graph model makes it obvious that a system with a delay in the feedback circuit is open relative to the signals flowing in it, which makes it possible to significantly simplify computational procedures. A linear system with a delayed control signal is also considered. Based on graph models the authors obtain the recurrent relations and an algorithm for calculating processes in a linear system with a delay in state and a delay in control. We consider any transducer that is not connected directly to the measured current, but is located at a distance from the conductor, as an MCT. Due to this, such an MCT does not require an increased class insulation. The paper investigates the distribution of the magnetic field in the MCT magnetic current under the influence of the main current and the current that causes additional noise in the output signal. The mathematical model for obtaining the secondary MCT signal is described as well. The conclusion is drawn about the possibility of using a small-sized transducer for relay protection and automation.","PeriodicalId":285590,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124121487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem of detecting significant deviations in the accounting of electricity consumption is under consideration. The data available from power meters and intelligent sensors is used to classify the events in power supply process. This information is of high importance and can be utilized to predict violations. It leads to rapid decision-making and allows avoiding the penalties on behalf of the power distribution utilities. The data received from smart meters is usually represented in the form of so-called “load profiles”. The article introduces an approach for improving the solvability of the data discrimination problem through the non-parametric Wilcoxon sign ranks criterion under the cases with singularities in compared data samples of the type “vertical offset” and “scale”. The modified Wilcoxon criterion is considered as a tool for identifying deviations in the conduct of the technological process, which do not exceed the threshold values, but have a significant impact on the technical and economic indicators. The proposed method of identifying critical events, which uses the modified Wilcoxon criterion, makes it possible to determine both the fact of the presence of an event and to provide their identification. It is proved that the power of the proposed modified Wilcoxon test does not degrade comparing with the traditional Wilcoxon test. The executed example of processing the power consumption data of the petrochemical industrial enterprise allowed testing the effect of using the modified Wilcoxon criterion as a part of the computational procedure for the developed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":285590,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129301506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence of the ambient temperature, as well as the load on the output frequency of a generator with a phasing chain of strain gauges of a mass measuring device, is studied. The form of the conversion function recording is obtained, which is convenient for studying the influence of simultaneous changes in the parameters of several load cells or the sensitivity with respect to many elements that affect the change in the frequency of the generator. The data processed is displayed in the units of mass considering the ambient temperature. A block diagram of a continuous dynamic weighing technique, using standard strain gages with averaging readings without additional computing devices, has been proposed.","PeriodicalId":285590,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115470999","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, not enough attention is paid to the development of this alternative energy sector. The article analyzes one of the possible solutions to this problem. A design is proposed, in which the hydro turbine is built into the generator, and the entire structure is placed in the water. As a hydro generator, a special electric machine-a generator of combined excitation is offered. The generator inductor has powerful permanent magnets and an excitation winding. The total magnetic flux, which induces EMF in the phase windings, consists of the flows of these two sources of a magnetic field. The magnetic flux from the magnets remains unchanged, and from the excitation winding, the magnetic flux can be added or subtracted from the flux of the magnets. Thus, the magnetic flux control function remains in the machine. The current supply to the armature winding and the excitation winding is contactless. This design allows you to reduce the size due to permanent magnets and simplify the electronic system of stabilization of the output voltage by regulating the low-power excitation circuit. The generator has a reversed design, that is, the stator is inside and the rotor is outside. This design simplifies the overall layout of the turbine. The design of the generator has a patent of the Russian Federation. For the development of generators of this type, a design CAD system was created, consisting of a subsystem for the synthesis of optimal geometry on the basis of multi-level single-criteria optimization and an analysis subsystem built using well-known software complexes based on the finite element method. As an example of the operation of the system, the results of the calculation of the 3 kW hydro generator are shown. Comparative results of the calculations for the electronic model and tests of the mock-up sample are presented. The developed digital model of the generator showed good convergence with the real generator on the main parameters and characteristics.","PeriodicalId":285590,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM)","volume":"124 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114095376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
