Therefore, this paper is aimed at calculating fault current for grid-connected and isolated microgrids using two methods; virtual impedance and the proposed method. The proposed method is used to calculate the short circuit current contribution of DG is controlled to analyze the equivalent model of inverter-based DG. The inverter control limits its current to 2p.u of the inverter rating. The proposed algorithm is tested on a standard IEEE 33-bus distribution network with 5 DGs using MATLAB code programs. The results show that the impact of q DG on the fault current is significant especially when faults occur at busses near to the DG location. The segmentation of organs close to lung, breast, or esophageal cancer is a routine and time-consuming process. The automatic segmentation of organs at risk would be an essential part of treatment planning for patients suffering radiotherapy. The position and shape variation, morphology inherent and low soft tissue contrast between neighboring organs across each patient’s scans is the challenging task for automatic segmentation of OARs in Computed Tomography (CT) images. The objective of this paper is to use automatic segmentation of the organs near risk in CT images using deep learning model. The paper proposes a hybrid 3D-ResNet based deep learning model with Atrous spatial pyramid pooling module and Project & Excite (PE)' module for 3D volumetric segmentation using Thoracic Organs at Risk (SegTHOR) dataset. The proposed model produces better results as compared to state-of-the-art deep learning models used in SegTHOR dataset. Revealing and correcting the mistakes is shortly described on the manufactured or prototyped system or on a simulated computer model. Computer simulation is referred to as the most appropriate way. The functioning of the great class of digital systems for equipment control can be described as fulfilling the sequence of functions from finite alphabet. The sequences of functions performed are presented as their products; it is shown that they form a partial semigroup. For the design debugging of digital systems by the simulation method, applied for verifying the correctness of the design, special debugging tests are used. They should most fully verify the correctness of the performance of all functions by the designed system. The methods of compiling and modifying the list of digital system functions by the developer in the way, which is the most convenient for verification, are presented. In addition, the breakdown of each digital system function into subfunctions is considered in order to verify the correct functioning of various hardware modes and program branches. As a result, a large number of studies are carried out to justify, develop and create new technologies and equipment for the solar energy utilization, which could be effectively used by diverse consumers for different regions. Designing any photovoltaic installation, the selection of the actinometrical data source is the priority issue. There is a large number of approaches to determining the gross potential of solar energy, however, not all of them contain the full array of data that is necessary for designing, while some of them are not very accurate, while others are difficult to use and their accuracy is limited by the observation period. The article presents a methodology for the express assessment of the solar energy potential, designed by means of combining the calculated and experimental data, which allows determining with a high degree of reliability the hourly sums of all components of solar radiation on differently oriented receiving surfaces. Such combined application of various approaches introduced the following features of the method: the proposed approach is based on the data averaged over a period of 20 years, and their array is interpolated to the grid of 0.5x 0.5. Therefore, it is relevant to assess the applicability of the developed method of express assessment of solar energy potential for a preset geographical point, for which experimental studies were carried out. The reliability of the calculated total solar radiation intensity by the presented method is confirmed by deviation of 0.2–8 % for every day of the year. There have long existed systems that allow detecting moving objects in the image sequence from a video surveillance system. Such a system is partially considered in this research. It detects moving objects using a background model, which has certain problems. Due to this some objects are missed or detected falsely. We propose to combine the moving objects detection results with the classification, using a deep neural network. This will allow determining whether a detected object belongs to a certain class, sorting out false detections, discarding the unnecessary ones (sometimes individual classes are unwanted), to divide detected people into the employees in the uniform and all others, etc. The authors perform a network training in the Keras developer-friendly environment that provides for quick building, changing and training of network architectures. The performance of the Keras integration into a video analysis system, using direct Python script execution techniques, is between 6 and 52 ms, while the precision is between 59.1% and 97.2% for different architectures. The integration, made by freezing a selected network architecture with weights, is selected after testing. After that, frozen architecture can be imported into video analysis using the TensorFlow interface for C++. The performance of such type of integration is between 3 and 49 ms. The requirements to the losses in the distribution transformers are described. The combined model is applicable to investigate the steady-state and transient processes in single-phase transformers and creating computer-aided engineering subsystems with generative design elements. An algorithm for constructing and tuning isomorphic models is described, and their tuning for the selected diagnostic object is carried out. The sets of vectors of reference defective technical states of the object are calculated. The diagnosis of introduced defects is carried out on the basis of the calculation of their diagnostic features. The accuracy of the algorithm for the two models under consideration is estimated by calculating the statistical coefficients from the confusion matrix and by calculating the values of the identifiability of defects. A comparative analysis of the proposed algorithm with a similar one based on sensitivity models is carried out. Improved technology and equipment for open-pit mining, the implementation of cutting-edge high-performance machinery require more efficient and reliable power supply to open-pit mining sites. Variable-speed drives, equipped with semiconductor converters, are used en masse in open-pit mining power systems, compromising the quality of electricity. Until recently, harmonic filters were the core solution to the electricity quality problem. As of today, variable-frequency drives are often used in combination with frequency converters, coupled with active front ends to improve the quality of electricity. The particularities of open-pit mining do complicate the design and choice of these electricity quality controllers. The problem could be addressed by a comprehensive approach that takes into account all the features of these electricity systems. The computer models proposed herein can be used to assess how electric drives with semiconductor converters affect the quality of electricity in open-pit mining. The paper shows that it is the type of the semiconductor converter-equipped drive and the proposed electricity quality controller that determine which mathematical model is to be used. This class of devices is designed for the remote control of electrical loads (on/off, as well as to perform autonomous operation of the system according to the specified scenario. The article discusses various methods of switching electrical loads of residential premises by electromechanical and semiconductor devices, which are most widely used today. The paper presents their comparative analysis and the identified shortcomings of each type of switching devices. The process of electric arc formation at the moments of electromechanical devices switching is considered. Modern versions of protection or reduction of influence from electric arc occurrence in electromechanical switching devices leading to contact erosion are presented. The impact of a specific type of electrical load on the life of an electromechanical relay is discussed. Modern semiconductor elements for switching loads in AC networks are presented, as well as methods of reducing electromagnetic interference in the network during their use. Promising solutions of simistors of “Snabberles” line are considered, which reduce the total cost of the end product and reduce its mass-dimensional indicators. High temperature and the lengthiness of the diffusion process, geometric and concentration inhomogeneity of doping material distribution, as well as defects of doped layers lead to increased voltage drop values for forward current. Lower values of forward voltage drops are shown for silicon power diodes with anodic junction obtained by thermomigration of liquid zones, compared to conventional alternatives. It has been found that this result is associated with two factors. Firstly, the thermomigration method allows to optimize the base layer thickness of the device, as well as to obtain a more prominent doping material distribution in the emitter region.
