It is grown on an area of 55,000 ha. The area under this fruit crop is increasing rapidly as a result of dynamic employment guarantee scheme launched by the Government of Maharashtra for fruit crops. Sweet Orange is a major fruit crop in Marathwada region of the State. 0.77 lakh hectares area is under this crop (Anonymous, 2014a). The development of any nation depends primarily on the important role played by entrepreneurs. Hence, the part played by entrepreneurs is of vital importance in a developing country like India. Thus in all economic development activities more attention is being given to entrepreneurship development. An entrepreneur is primarily concerned with changes in the formula of production over which he has full control. Further, it is commonly believed that an entrepreneur is basically an intelligent person and has a definite ability to create something new to prove its worthiness. The Ex-post-facto research design was used for the present study. The study was conducted in Aurangabad district. Three tahsils namely, Aurangabad, Paithan and Kannad were selected purposively on the basis of the maximum area under sweet orange cultivation. The main objective of this study is to study the regression analysis of entrepreneurial behaviour of sweet orange growers. It is revealed from that coefficient of determination (R2) of the independent variables was 0.5040. It means that 50.40 per cent of the total variation in entrepreneurial behavior of sweet orange growers was explained by the selected 10 independent variables i.e. Farming experience, Education, Family size, Occupation, Land holding, Annual income, Social participation, Mass media use, Economic motivation and Market orientation. The present study was used as a multistage sampling procedure. Collected data were classified, tabulated and analyzed by using multiple regression.","PeriodicalId":284553,"journal":{"name":"Gujarat Journal of Extension Education","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127615017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most of the problems are due to faulty management i.e. unsuitable site and climate, cultivation of intercrops, inadequate nutrition, improper planting, undesirable planting materials, incidence of insect, pest and disease and other biotic and abiotic stress. Rejuvenation of mango trees makes them more manageable and facilitates the adoption of appropriate package of practices, resulting in improved vigor and yield. This involves adopting suitable pruning methods, providing adequate nutrients and plant protection management, developing an appropriate canopy, and implementing other holistic management operations. To conduct a study on mango rejuvenation, a multistage, purposive, and random sampling technique was employed. The study was carried out in Gir Somnath district of the Saurashtra region, with Talala, Kodinar, Una, and Sutrapada selected purposively as the four talukas, and three villages randomly selected from each of these talukas, resulting in a total of 12 villages being selected for the study. Ten mango growers were then randomly selected from each of these villages as respondents, totaling 120 mango growers. The respondents were interviewed using a specially designed schedule, and the results showed that the majority (53.33 percent) of the respondents had a medium level of perception about the recommended mango rejuvenation technology, followed by 27.50 percent of respondents who had a high level of perception about the recommended mango rejuvenation technology, while 19.17 percent had a low level of perception about the recommended mango rejuvenation technology. It is essential to adopt and promote scientific practices that can enhance mango productivity and rejuvenation to address these issues.","PeriodicalId":284553,"journal":{"name":"Gujarat Journal of Extension Education","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127996360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Easy and timely availability of high quality agri inputs at reasonable price is one of the prominent concerns of the farmers, as several agri inputs are indispensable to high yield agriculture practices. Earlier, farmers used to purchase agri-inputs from an agro retail shop or cooperative societies. In the Hi-tech digital age, some agri-input companies have started electronic retailing of agri-inputs, wherein farmer can order from the website or by phone call and agri-inputs are delivered to their doorstep. Although e-retailing of agri inputs seem to be in infant stage with only few companies engaged in it, this trend is sure to pick up momentum in times to come. Considering this, this present empirical research paper, high-lights the benefits perceived by the farmers while doing e-Retailing of Agri inputs. The research was conducted in three randomly selected districts of Gujarat. 300 farmers were selected purposively by adopting multistage sampling technique. Required data were collected by using pre-coded interview schedule and analyzed considering the objectives of the study. The result of the study indicates that the benefits like shopping convenience, ease/comfort of shopping, product selection and hedonic motivation/enjoyment were perceived by the farmers from e-Retailing of agri inputs; and they serve as the major ‘pull factors’ for farmers to continue e-Retailing of agri inputs.","PeriodicalId":284553,"journal":{"name":"Gujarat Journal of Extension Education","volume":"4 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133203566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It actually means the raw milk that has been produced in the udder of healthy dairy animals, handled under hygienic conditions and contains only allowed quantity of bacteria and chemical residues. Clean ilk can be defined as milk coming from healthy milch animal, possessing normal flavor, devoid of dirt and filth, containing permissible limit of bacteria and essentially free from adulterants, pathogens, various toxins, abnormal residues, pollutants and metabolites (Ogale, 1999). The present investigation was carried out in North Gujarat. Three districts of North Gujarat viz., Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Mehsana were purposively selected for the study. From each selected district, three talukas and two villages from each selected taluka were randomly selected for the study. Thus, eighteen villages were selected from the nine selected talukas. For selection of the respondents from the villages, a village wise list of dairy farmers was prepared based on farmers having two animals of which one animal in milking stage. From each village, ten dairy farmers were randomly selected as respondents. Thus, total 180 respondents were selected for the study.
