In this article two different industrial applications of vision systems were described. The first one - \"Yarn hairiness analyzer\" measures the real length of the fibers protruding from the yearn core. \"Thermo-Wet\" - the second application, determines surface properties of metals in high temperatures. Due to use of innovative solutions, especially application of image processing and analysis algorithms, the original results were achieved. They reflect real values of measured properties. The significance of image segmentation quality in both considered applications was explained. The universal image segmentation algorithm was introduced. This approach involves techniques based on the mathematical apparatus of Ideal Ring Bundles theory (IRB theory) for improving the quality indices of radio electronic engineering and designed systems with ring structure with respect to transmission speed, resolving ability, performance reliability, using design techniques based on the idea of \"perfect\" ring order and new conceptual models of the systems based on the idea of \"perfect\" combinatorial construction.
