The article addresses a set of tools, namely, SIPOC, Flowchart, Blueprint, Process-Chain-Network, Consumption Map, SERVPRO, and Activity Chart, exemplifying their application in the building of maps that offer different visions for an online shopping process undertaking the approach of hierarchical decomposition in the analysis of a consumer’s activities flow. These tools are analyzed with regard to their capacity to represent the different aspects of the mapped process, considering characteristics such as the graphic representation form and the focal points, scope, and granularity of the visualization they provide. The role of Production Planning and Control Systems is to provide information and models for the efficient management of manufacturing resources. This research addresses the teaching of MRP and APS/FCS (finite capacity scheduling) in PPC undergraduate courses. The objectives include reviewing the teaching practices in production scheduling, focusing on simulation and case study strategies and determining whether teachers differentiate between the two main approaches. A survey was conducted for this purpose. The respondents were teachers who lecture in Brazilian Production Engineering courses. The results indicate that MRP is covered by 100% of the teachers consulted. For APS/FCS, that percentage is 81%. This characterization is achieved by discussing the adoption of environmental management practices and considering aspects of the productive process stage. An eight-case study was conducted through data triangulation using interviews with employees in diverse organizational areas, direct observations and secondary data. The results indicate the differences in environmental positioning among the studied corporations with a predominance of preventive practices, i.e., an emphasis on eco-efficiency and compliance with legislation. It was also noted that environmental concerns in the corporations are related to internationalization and, in some cases, to the pressure exerted by corporations that represent the brand of the products produced in Brazil. KM is characterized as a multidisciplinary field, involving both technical and social facets. Due to the diversity of issues surrounding this topic, it is essential to define their study. This research is based on social and coordination studies that seek to identify contextual factors developed internally in organizations that support the KM process in the automotive industry. To achieve this goal, a quantitative research method based on a surveys was used. The results point to the existence of eight contextual factors that support KM. Because mobile phones are the fastest-growing segment of electronic equipment in sales worldwide, this work investigates the use of mobile phones by the elderly to identify their needs, difficulties and understanding of the icons, classifications and grouping functions. A satisfaction questionnaire, card sorting and comprehension test icons were used to determine the results. Usability and accessibility recommendations were identified for the mobile interface to assist and guide interface developers during the design process. Para ello, se hace uso de un modelo basado en agentes, en el cual la difusion ocurre dentro de una red tipo mundo pequeno, y se analiza el fenomeno usando 4 reglas de decision diferentes: (1) una regla de umbrales con externalidades positivas, (2) una regla de umbrales con externalidades positivas y negativas, (3) una regla basada en el modelo de Bass y (4) una regla basada en la Teoria del Comportamiento Planeado. Los resultados obtenidos rechazan la hipotesis de igualdad entre las diferentes curvas de difusion. In fact, companies are seeking new tools to support this process and thus increase their capability to make a decision through competitive intelligence (CI). This suggests that companies are seeking better performance by adopting CI tools, but these theories are not well established academically. In this context, this article proposes a scientometric analysis study, such as that conducted by Jourdan et al. (2008), to determine the CI categories. A scientometric analysis was developed that identifies five relevant research fields - business intelligence, environmental scanning, knowledge management, strategy and decision. Among these trends are the dynamic alignment paradigm and the sustainable supply chain management approach. The dynamic alignment paradigm recognizes that companies should dynamically manage different types of supply chains (e.g., fully flexible, agile, lean, and continuous replenishment) to respond appropriately to various types of customers behaviors. The sustainable supply chain management approach accounts for various environmental and social issues as complements to the traditional economic criteria in the design and management of these different types of supply chains. In a recent study, some authors combined these two trends in a novel conceptual model aiming to help decision-makers better manage different environmental trade-offs when designing a supply chain using the dynamic alignment concept. This study presents some experimental studies on the agile supply chain to verify some of the assumptions made by the model. To do so, simulation experiments were conducted for a large multinational company producing non-durable consumer goods. Based on a literature review, an alternative methodology was developed, and the arguments for the proposal were analyzed. The analysis demonstrated the importance of integrating a decision making model to develop initiatives toward project management institutionalization appropriate to the organizational context and strategies. This paper proposes a method for the maturity process supported by a problem structuring model: Value-Focused Thinking. This method integrates a reflective analysis into the maturity evaluation process to provide more efficient action plans. The proposed approach provides a new perspective for assessing and planning organizational project management maturity in terms of concentrating on the alignment with organizational strategies. Aliado a esse fato, os servicos de manutencao de utilidades sao fundamentais para o funcionamento e desempenho adequado da infraestrutura das empresas. Nesse contexto, este artigo tem como objetivo caracterizar, mensurar e analisar a percepcao da qualidade dos usuarios de servicos internos de manutencao de utilidades em uma empresa de manufatura, lider em seu mercado de atuacao. Por meio da elaboracao de um questionario estruturado considerando o metodo SERVQUAL, foram coletados dados de forma nao probabilistica junto aos usuarios. Para os dados coletados foi utilizada a analise com base no alfa de Cronbach, bem como o teste-t, buscando-se verificar a consistencia e confiabilidade do instrumento.
