Various researchers and companies have proposed medical and non-medical products or devices that help these people. The products on the market at the moment, although numerous, are not connected to the needs of patients. Also, most of the existing devices do not sufficiently protect the patient’s data. This study designed a complete system to monitor and record the patient’s locations, heart rate, and patient’s spatial position. Also, this system’s novelty is the function that helps people with dementia in the self-administration of drugs. In this case, they can take care of themselves, and those close to them will always know the location and position of these patients if they took their medication correctly.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133829768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our paper is dedicated to the study of the cumulative effects that are registered inside the obtuse angle having as tip a derivation tower and as sides the two consecutive alignments where the change of direction of the power line is made. The first part of the paper briefly reviews the already acquired background for measuring the magnetic field strength at the standard height of 1 m above the ground. The main elements of the simulation program made with the help of programming in CST Studio are presented. For the simulation, we used the concrete data provided by the project of the new 400 kV power line Gadalin-Suceava, Romania. To evaluate the cumulative effect, we compared the densities of circular currents induced in the trunk of a human rotational model, previously proposed and tested by the same group of authors. Conclusions have been drawn regarding the weight of the cumulative effects, which were reported both to the environment of a suspension tower of the same network and to a location at the middle of the distance between two consecutive towers. The conclusion is that at the level of 1 m above the ground the value considered as non-hazardous by the standards in force has not been exceeded. The cumulative effect introduced by the angular configuration of the power line does not exceed the increase due to lower clearance at the middle of the distance between 2 consecutive pylons.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134301434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Visualization helps better understanding and clarifying the physical and mathematical models that are used. In medicine low frequency magnetic fields are traditionally used in magnetotherapy, and at the moment computer modeling and visualization give the only practical approach to the studying the influence of magnetic fields on a living organism. In this work we designed and implemented an effective and adequate computer tool both for modeling a magnetic field distribution and the action of the field on charged particles. The tool is designed in the program environment Unity, which allows the combining calculations and visualization, considerable reducing run-time and the development of a flexible application that may be easily used by both practicians and researchers. The rotating magnetic field is no longer circular but elliptical. In addition the hodograph of all quantities have become elliptical. The dissymmetry factor of the rotor current depends on the dissymmetry factor of the supply voltage and also on the operating conditions. In practical applications there is a strong influence of both operating conditions and rotor speed on the asymmetric regime of the rotor quantities. The goal of this paper is to study to what extent the asymmetry of the rotor quantities depends on the operating conditions. This matter is studied by theoretical evaluation, confirmed and completed by simulation results.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125837679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The active filter adopted control method is the indirect current control. The control section of the active filter consists of a dSpace DS1103 prototyping board. The control algorithm was implemented in the Matlab Simulink programming environment and the DS1103 board program was obtained by compiling the Simulink model. The controller performance is dependent on the proper definition of the membership functions yet proper voltage regulation can be obtained with the cost of higher controller output ripple. A compromise can be achieved, having some voltage regulation with low controller ripple, further reduced by a low pass filter. For this configuration the active filtering system performance is good, but dependent on the load current RMS value. An optimum operating point was achieved, for which the compensated current distortion is the lowest and the power factor is the highest. The system performance is affected by the relatively high time step of the DS1103 control board, imposed by the complexity of the fuzzy inference system. The experimental active filtering system efficiency at the optimum operating point is 93%.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124704765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, a reduction of the operating cost is proposed, through an optimal design of the asynchronous traction motors. This is a very difficult problem, assuming the knowledge of the operating conditions, such as the load shocks, vibrations, mechanical shocks or high working temperature. Advanced mathematical models must be considered, accounting for the imposed constraints, e.g. the gauge conditions due to the space related to the rolling stock and the maximum torque. On this basis, an optimization of the motor cross section is proposed. The results obtained and the simulations presented prove a significant decrease of the asynchronous traction motor total cost, as compared to the motor used at present.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126177064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
