This paper proposes a Wireless Communication System architecture to monitor the potential pollution from a petroleum refinery and water canal Danube-Tisa-Danube in river Danube, located in an urban part Novi Sad town, to achieve better energy efficiency while forwarding data packets consistently. The proposed architecture is implemented using Omnet++ simulator, and the energy model of wireless hosts in the available INET framework.
