Based on the obtained results of spot measurements and the results of an automatic survey of magnetic induction B, we estimate the profiles and the maps of magnetic fields anywhere near the line, i.e. spatial variability and anytime, i.e. temporal variability. These two sets of synchronous measurements where made with two independent instruments each of them having a measurement uncertainty below 5%. Firstly, the field profiles were determined by means of on spot measurement made at different time moments using a simple commercial instrument. Then, we adjusted these profiles, based on simultaneous and continuous determination of the time variability of B, obtained with our measurement system for automatic survey of the magnetic field. In order to make a complete characterization of the generated magnetic field, we also present, the time and frequency representations of B, a statistical processing of the results, and the profiles and maps of field when B is maximum/minimum. This is made in accordance to the field time variability (of about 8%), obtained during an hour of automatic survey of magnetic field in a single point.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125224801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Within the project, the students involved carried out several documentation visits to various companies in the area and the region, and finally completed a questionnaire. Following the processing of the results, we identified the desire of young people for professional and personal development, as well as the interest and usefulness of study visits. The study allows the identification of intervention directions by educational institutions, employers, organizations and even the government. Thus, the use of modern teaching methods, combined with new technologies and visits to enterprises will contribute to the enhancement of the educational act and, implicitly, to the reduction of school dropout. In order to train the next generation, it is imperative to establish a close connection between economic agents and educational institutions, so that future graduates will be able to choose the right job, and adapt to the new status more quickly and easily. These documentation visits should be included in the activities of pre-academic students so that they can choose the right career.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"163 7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129271029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The role of the inverter is to obtain alternating current for charging from the direct current obtained from solar energy. Grid-connected photovoltaic panels can be on-grid, off-grid or hybrid. Both the material used and the costs of materials play an important role in optimizing the efficiency of photovoltaic panels. To increase efficiency, photovoltaic panels must be installed so as to maximize direct exposure to sunlight. The efficiency, reliability and durability of photovoltaic panels can be reduced by the presence of certain defects of photovoltaic modules or dust accumulation. An important role in optimization is also played by the methods for determining the power point, which must be at the maximum level in order to optimize the energy transfer from the photovoltaic panel to the load. Optimizing energy consumption and reducing costs is also achieved by implementing a SCADA automation system, as well as by minimizing the power fluctuation of on-grid photovoltaic panels using a super capacitor energy storage system. This paper also presents different types of inverters adapted to maximize the production of photovoltaic energy. In the analyzed literature, the main directions of research in the sense of optimizing photovoltaic panels focus on an improvement design, optimal operation and proper maintenance.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129770555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper emphasis on the analytical design and sensitivity analysis of a PMSG for a stand-alone direct drive WECS. In the initial part, an analytical calculation was performed in order to determine the design parameters for the surface mounted PMSG. In the second phase, the surface mounted PMSG was designed and analysed through finite element analysis (FEA). Mapping of electrical machine was done using the design specifications from the initial part. Sensitivity analysis was performed to check the machine behaviour at different electrical and mechanical loadings using three different topologies. Analysis of the surface mounted PMSG was done to achieve the maximum expected torque and voltage regulation in normal operation mode.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127950007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taking into account that the ECG signal is always overlapped with noise generated by muscles, body movement, electrodes skin contact, breathing and electronics, a de-noising stage must be added. This research paper analyzes and compares the noise removal by using different decomposition levels of undecimated wavelet transform (UWT) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) based on different types of mother wavelets like orthogonal (Haar, Daubechies, Coiflets, Symmlet) and biorthogonal, whereas the other artifacts that are low frequency carriers have been already removed from the signal. During the analysis phase for each of the de-noising methods, several parameters are modified to check the accuracy and performance in a more elaborated way. The raw ECG data used in the study has been obtained by using a proposed data acquisition system.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132364818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Installing pipelines in energy utility corridors containing high-voltage AC transmission lines subjects the pipelines to induced AC voltages, which is a real and serious problem requiring increased attention. Through proper modelling techniques, the induced currents and voltages in the underground/aboveground metallic pipelines can be accurately computed. In the following paper two different modelling concepts, based on circuit theory and electromagnetic theory approach are developed and discussed. A common right-of-way corridor between an overhead transmission line and a metallic pipeline is considered during the proposed assessment methodology. In order to evaluate how different variations of the model affects the magnitude of the induced quantities in the metallic pipeline a parametric analysis is employed. Based on the computed results, several dependencies between the power line current loads along with the considered length of parallel routing and the induced voltage are highlighted.","PeriodicalId":250783,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130121034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
