Archetypal characterіs of the speech image of Queen Elizabeth II dominate in the public consciousness of recipients and form the basis of a unified speech of a politician. The disposition of the REMARK concept in the speeches of Queen Elizabeth II is inherent in functional ambivalence: on the one hand, it allows to attract and hold the attention of the recipients, on the other hand, to facilitate the perception of what is heard and to encourage the necessary actions. The investigation used the method of quantitative analysis, which showed the partial authorial intention of 170 verbalizers, their relative and absolute frequencies, clarification of the structure of the entire object on the basis of the developed system of indicators. The linguistic observation was to identify the minimum and maximum changes in the linguistic representation of the concept REMARK that took place from 1952 to 2022. The observation of the speech of Queen Elizabeth II allowed us to find out the dynamics of language changes in general, on a universal scale. During this process, a sample was formed, according to which the linguistic design and expression of the thoughts of Queen Elizabeth II. The important role of the sample of verbalizers is proved, which makes it possible to monitor the transformation of the language standart which initially originated in the speech of Queen Elizabeth II, later showed a wide manifestation of the analyzed concept in various functional speeches, statements and appeals. As a result of the analysis, the initial assumption that the quantitative method provides a mechanism for selecting research units in the dynamics of quantitative changes was confirmed.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». They should be able to meet the requirements of the rapidly changing world. That puts lifelong learning on the agenda as it is a prerequisite for a sustainable future and professional success. Thus, it is understandable that people should be prepared for autonomous lifelong learning which is one of the essential tasks set for university education. Students should be prepared to acquire new knowledge and to develop their skills by themselves when their formal education is over. They should be able to assess their achievements by themselves, to monitor their progress, and evaluate outcomes. That is why alternative assessment is gaining momentum. The present article presents, as an example, one of the forms of alternative assessment, the language portfolio. The language portfolio is well known to Ukrainian teachers, but not widely employed in the learning / teaching process. It is unlikely to be well-known to students although it may become a tool to systematizes the process of mastering the foreign language and may help students reflect on their learning needs and goals, as well as assess their weaknesses and strengths.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». Ach du grüne Neune! Da hört (sich) doch alles auf! Bangemachen (Bange machen) gilt nicht! Ab nach Kassel! Nicht schlecht, Herr Specht! It’s well-known that scientists face certain difficulties when trying to classify these linguistic units – the boundaries between individual categories are defined rather indistinct, there are numerous smooth transitions between groups of set phrases and a difference in terminology. The novelty of the study is their depiction as a functional-semantic field of expressive and communicative formulas. Expressive and communicative formulas are defined as pre-formed (elliptical) sentence-value word combinations, usually fixed in the language community to express the intentions, evaluations and emotions of the speaker, which are characterized by usability, reproducibility, relative stability, complex meaning and perform a communicative and often expressive functions. The conducted analysis of their structural and syntactic variability proved that these units have only relative stability, in connection with which the criterion of functional-pragmatic fixation and usability as well belonging in a conventional form to the mental lexicon of the majority of speakers come to the fore. Lexicographic analysis is complemented by a corpus approach. The potential of corpus linguistics as an empirical method of modern linguistic research is considered, its advantages for phraseology research are highlighted, and the possibilities of using the Internet as a linguistic corpus, in particular, for the verification of lexicographic information are determined.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». To achieve this goal, the author examines the stylistic means of expressing the fantastic world and the conceptual metaphors formed by them, and then analyzes how the positive (+), negative (-) or neutral labeling (?) of these metaphors conveys Gibson’s attitude to transhumanism in general. The authors clarify the term of foreign language communicative competence which is considered as a basic component of the professional competence of philologists. It is defined as an ability based on the system of acquired knowledge and skills, as well as individual characteristics, qualities, values, which ensures the organization and implementation of interpersonal, intercultural communication in different languages in oral or written form, allows philologists to solve complex professional tasks and practical problems. Dramatization and performance of original works of fiction and films are considered as effective methods that promote the development of communicative competence, mental abilities, and the emotional sphere of students. The application of these methods in the training of philologists by means of interpretation of literary works in a foreign language enables them to explore the socio-cultural context, to get acquainted with linguistic markers of social relations, folk wisdom, variety of dialects and accents, and to acquire an original positive linguistic experience. Dramatization increases student educational motivation, removes psychological barriers to communication in a foreign language, helps to master and choose relevant speech patterns for better assimilation of lexical and grammatical structures, speech patterns, to improve pronunciation, intonation. These active learning methods allow students to integrate skills and abilities in the process of a creative activity, while simultaneously applying speaking skills in a meaningful context and emotionally rich learning interaction.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». Having stepped across national borders and uniting the world’s information resources into a single system, the Internet has become a means of intercultural communication with its own specific genres, defined conditions and factors of communication derived from technological multilinear communication means. Currently, online platforms represent a major means for communities to communicate globally, provide news coverage, exchange ideas, share data and knowledge, study and have fun. In this context, the research of web-mediated communication, its genre characteristics and peculiar features is of utmost relevance, as cultural practice and dialogue between diverse cultures are essential tools in promoting mutual understanding, intercultural learning and exchange. Since there are multiple approaches to defining genres of web-mediated communication, the focus of the article was on revealing their peculiar features and affect on intercultural communication. It is shown that genres in web-mediated communication are based on the technological factor, with their characteristic features being increased complexity and multi-dimensionality, creolization, responsiveness and interactivity as well as enormous user outreach, relevance, accessibility, autonomy and hypertextuality.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». The critique and the theory of literature determining the logic of constructing social realism and substantiating the specifics of social-realistic myth-making and representing the problems of the domestic literary and artistic process of the 20-80s of the twentieth century have been actualized in the work. The schematic ways of reproducing the world in stories and novels «about the commune» are characterized by the imitation / stylization of political demands imposed by party criticism. Attention is drawn to the fact that the social-realistic myth-making element in K. Gordienko’s prose of the «mature Stalinism» period was combined with sporadic attempts to express concealed feelings and experiences Ukrainian village’s events in the period of dekulakization and collectivization. Features of the author’s modeling of the Second World War’s events in small epic genres have been determined. In particular, it has been found that the stories and essays give an understanding of the experiences, the emotional turmoil of the characters much more than reflecting the events of the war. It has been found that the horizons of the writer’s critical thinking resonate with current problems of Ukrainian literature and artistic creativity. The movement of the author’s thoughts revolves around the issues of the language culture, its stylistic and intonational resources, the imaginative system of folk thinking and so on. Fiction memoirs relate to memories of the 1920s literary process, the influence of the literary environment on creative growth. Despite the presence of stereotypical approaches and ideological algorithms for the depiction of reality, the works present the creative atmosphere of the Ukrainian literary life of the 1920s.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». Educational innovation is seen by the author as an upgrade of the entire system, which was made possible with the introduction of an appropriate action plan (new approaches, teaching methods), which improved the system’s performance. The dichotomous nature of innovation is studied as a combination of its static (the statement of the changes that have occurred) and dynamic (the upgrading process as such) aspects. Educational innovations in Ukraine were enabled by the democratization of society and the creation of an overall innovative environment, which laid the intellectual foundation for implementing innovations in national higher education institutions. Based on the analysis of fundamental changes suggested by the Ministry (eliminating education monopoly) and the use of innovative technologies intrinsic to the European education system (credit-module system, interactive learning, project-based learning, person-oriented approach to professional training, distance and blended learning), the author has testified to a more flexible operation system for Oles Honchar Dnipro National University and its subdivisions (the possibility of subdivision-bound management and independence in content development, choice of learning aims and methods, planning research work) as well as to a more student-centered and student-motivating approach (the possibility of choosing activities and tasks, types of educational information leaning on the lesson stages and student’s cognitive profiles). Therefore, educational innovations are forward-looking, yet they require financial support and in-depth understanding.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». A fairy tale is the most extensive type of oral folk art, it is a symbol of culture, a work created collectively by a certain nation, which reflects its spiritual state, morality, customs and traditions; it is a way of preserving culture in different historical periods, awareness of the spiritual values of the people, history, traditions, beliefs and ideals. One of the important basic categories in human being is the category of space, as it is the universal form of existence of matter. When studying the lexical-semantic representations of the field \"space\", the hierarchical system of the functional-semantic field \"space\" N.D. Tkachenko was taken as a basis and two microfields (names of natural space and artificial space) are distinguished, which consist of 12 thematic groups (names of land masses; names of relief; names of lowlands; names of forests; names of mountains and hills; names of water space; names of swamps; names of administrative divisions of the earth surface; names of countries; names of settlements; names of communication routes; names of housing). The largest number of nominations includes the thematic group of names of settlements (60%), the second in terms of words is the group of names of mountains and hills (13%). Nominations of groups of water space names and country names make up 12% and 9%, respectively. Considering the obtained results, it can be stated that spatial lexemes and toponyms are symbols that reflect the specifics of national self-awareness, the nation's reflection on its own history and culture. The space of geographical names of fairy tales should be considered as a special microcosm in which the real reality familiar to every person is reflected.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». The reason for their use lies in the fact that domestic students have to present their research projects at international conferences and seminars, publish the results of the projects in foreign scientific journals. Besides, mastering the skills of academic writing helps students acquire new knowledge and become more competitive professionals at the job market. The purpose of the article is to analyze modern approaches used to teach academic writing relevant for Ukrainian tertiary educational institutions. The authors have justified the use of process writing as the main way of teaching academic writing and outlined basic stages of process writing that comprise inventing, drafting, revising, and editing. At the inventing stage, students may use such techniques that make the writing process more effective as tree diagram or map, outline (traditional or rough), listing, clustering, freewriting, looping, asking questions, and cubing. The difference between reviewing and editing is given. Revising is performed at the global level and makes students look at the draft as a whole idea, while editing is done at the local level of sentence or word and means correcting lexical, grammatical, punctuation, and stylistic errors.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ».
