These explanations agree that beliefs regarding control and the perception of vulnerability to worry seem to play an important role in the onset and maintenance of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Perceiving oneself capable of modifying these concerns facilitates change and taking action in the face of worrying situations in everyday life. The Health Belief Model (HBM) has been one of the most widely used conceptual frameworks to explain the change and maintenance of behaviors related to different health situations and to develop scales that allow identifying beliefs related to the problem in question, however , there are no scales based on this model for generalized anxiety, so the purpose of this research was the construction and validation of a scale with these characteristics. The construction of the items was carried out based on the dimensions that make up the HBM and subsequently validation by judges was carried out. Scales of anxiety, depression, life satisfaction, and self-efficacy were applied to establish the convergent and discriminant validity of the scale. Finally, an Exploratory Factor Analysis was carried out, from which 24 Likert-type scale items were obtained that were grouped into 5 dimensions, explaining 58.6% of the total variance and with a total Cronbach's alpha of .803. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"24 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139383174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was quantitative and descriptive, personality was evaluated through the Big Five Inventory. The ANOVA analysis was applied to search for personality differences, no significant comparisons were found to support the initial hypothesis. The information was analyzed again considering the satisfaction variable, when comparing the groups, it was found that satisfied students are more conscientious while dissatisfied students are higher in neuroticism. These differences were significant (R= 0.004** y N< 0.001***) and are consistent with studies on the level of life satisfaction in relation to personality factors.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126167655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dating violence is a problem that threatens the health of adolescents and young adults, hence the research bodies have invested years in its understanding and intervention, however, the literature seems to have focused mainly on understanding the factors of risk that increase the vulnerability of the adolescent population, leaving aside situations that provide tools for the prevention of said phenomenon. State of the art. The review shows how the understanding of dating violence has focused mainly on risk contexts, leaving aside the search for and promotion of protective factors. In turn what an ethical/healthy relationship seems to be ignored. Conclusions. The results show that there is little research regarding the protective factors for the perpetration and victimization of dating violence in adolescents, in addition to the fact that the findings framed here focus on factors related mainly to the family, social and individual context.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124161189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was a theoretical study, carried out by searching for articles in the following databases: Web of science, Dialnet, Google Scholar, Science Direct, E-spacio and Redalyc. The articles located that met the inclusion criteria were classified into sections according to their characteristics. It was possible to conclude that the different classifications allow the population to apply PAPs in situations that require it, as in the case of the COVID-19 pandemic; however, the need to increase the development and unify the action protocols is evident in order to uniformly attend the possible repercussions of the crises; as well as to ensure the evaluation of the results of these applications in a more effective manner.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131895127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These are made up of cognitive, affective, emotional and behavioral factors. The World Health Organization mentions that one of three women in the world suffers or has suffered abuse by their partner or ex-partner, it is 35% of all women in the world. Nowadays violence against women is a public health problem with serious consequences for mental health, it affects women of all cultures, socioeconomic and educational levels; a violent woman who has low self-esteem is considered vulnerable, and it affects her development. The main objective, identifies and understands the relationship between self-esteem and possible existence of violence in couple relationships, in young women between 18 and 24 years of age in the state of Hidalgo. A mixed approach was used, with a sequential transformative design. In the quantitative results, a considerable percentage of young women with low self-esteem (58%) was found. In the qualitative results, it was found that self-esteem is related to life experiences in the family and couple, stereotyped gender roles were identified that denigrate women, allowing vulnerability in their relationships. It is concluded that low self-esteem is a factor that is built at an early age and it derives significant experiences, which may be involved in the development of intra-family and couple relationships with violent dynamics.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126665488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Searches were filtered by date, considering publications from the last five years, both in English and Spanish, with keywords such as adolescents, risk factors, suicidal behavior, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempt. As a result, several risk factors were found to develop suicidal behavior in adolescents corresponding to each individual's biological, psychological, and social spheres, such as gender, emotional problems, affective disorders, interpersonal relationships, and bullying. Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify psychological needs during confinement due to the third wave of COVID-19 in university students, to lay the foundations for the future design of a specific intervention in this population and contribute to their comprehensive health. This investigation is part of a larger study. With a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and a non-probabilistic quota sampling, five male and female university students participated. Data collection was done individually through synchronous semi-structured interview script through a digital platform. Participation was informed and consented in accordance with the Psychologist's Code of Ethics. It was found that male and female university students experience academic stress, negative feelings, decrease in their social relationships, family problems, inability to organize and insomnia, for which the physical, psychological and social health of this population is at stake, being necessary designed intervention programs from health psychology that consider breathing and relaxation techniques as well as problem solving to address academic stress, anxiety symptoms and associated variables","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121245836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
