The research design was non-experimental cross-sectional; Through a non-probabilistic demonstration for convenience, 101 people, 66 women and 35 men participated, with an age range of 17 to 34 years (SD=2.49) (M=21.47), the survey of the information was carried out through a google that include the Symptom Check Inventory -List-90-R of Derogatis so as questions from the ECOVID-ED 2020 Survey. The results show that the temporary cancellation of on-site classes at the educational institution where the young people were studying was related to the presence of psychological symptoms associated with various problems. It was the women, as opposed to the men, who showed greater problems, such as increased perception of bodily discomfort, obsessive thoughts and behaviors, feelings of inferiority and inadequacy, sleep problems, among others, and in the educational area they were the most affected. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the mental health of the population in general, and, on students, who have been one of the most vulnerable groups. Distance   classes, lack of economic and technological resources, social distancing, and isolation have intensified the problems, so that adequate attention to the effects or health conditions should be considered when returning to on-site classes.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121135150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the literature, associations have been found between both, even considering depression as a possible risk identifier for developing Diabetes Mellitus. Due to this need to identify factors that affect depressive symptomatology in the population with diabetes, we sought to develop a classification model to determine which factors affect the aggravation of this psychological problem, and subsequently confirm these results using logistic regression models and cross-validation. A non-experimental cross-sectional research design was used. Using a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience, we worked with 200 people and found various factors that influenced depressive symptomatology in people with diabetes, according to the degree of depression, with negative attitudes towards oneself being a decisive factor in establishing the type of diagnosis. In this sense, for \"Normal\" depressive symptomatology, the most important factor was Impairment of performance; for \"Mild\" symptomatology, somatic alterations were observed; for \"Moderate\" symptomatology, sleep disturbances; and for \"Severe\" depressive symptomatology, the most notable somatic alterations were observed. It is argued the need to establish filters between \"Normal\" depressive symptomatology and those that could be an obstacle to achieve good adherence to treatment, considering contextual and biological aspects, the last in terms of brain activation.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124257896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The family is the one that provides the essential affective climate so that there is a process that changes the biological being that is a baby, in a person, in a biopsychosocial being. Marriage arguments emotionally deplete parents and diminish their interest in the emotional needs of their children, who may understand it as rejection or absence of affection, very detrimental to their personal growth. Additionally, marital conflict decreases the parents ability to integrate and participate socially. The provision of affective and emotional stability that child development requires can be seriously threatened by the separation or divorce of the parents, it affects children in the form of coping they use in stressful situations, in the formation of the attachment process, the affective and emotional stability required for child development and how they respond to changes in the family.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122692846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Breast cancer is not specifically exclusive to women, it also affects men but is less frequent, in 2018 it was reported that in Mexico two out of every 10 deaths in women were due to corresponding breast cancer in the period 2011 to 2016. The goal of this review is to publicize the effectiveness of some of the psychological intervention programs since positive psychology in patients with breast cancer. The bibliographic search was made in databases such as Redalyc, SciELO, Dialnet, PubMed and Google Academia, as inclusion criteria it was taken into account that the bibliography had a period of age not more than 10 years. and as exclusion criteria, all interventions involving girls, boys and adolescents were ruled out. The results found that interventions from positive psychology applied in patients with breast cancer mainly work on both positive and negative emotions, welfare, optimism and self-concept trying from women living in that situation, providing as results the improvement of problem solving and coping with the disease and its consequences. It was concluded by noting that cognitive behavioral psychological intervention from positive psychology effectively helps to cope with changes in an adaptive way and has adapted to the new lifestyle caused by breast cancer. It was considered important that future interventions also work with the population of men even though the sample was small because the diagnoses in them are uncommon, however it is important to know the effects of psychological intervention on them from positive psychology, and the factors that usually affect mainly during and after the disease process.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132880578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the scientific literature, scientific publications (tangible products of the research) are derived, which are specifically studied by the bibliometrics. This last one, is a branch of the Scientometrics, that is guided under the assumption that the scientific discoveries and the research results are published in scientific journals, so its unit of analysis is the scientific article. The word bibliometrics was defined for first time by Alan Pritchard in 1969, and since then, multiple concepts of this term have been developed. However, it has reached to the consensus that this methodological tool allows to know the scientific production (in quantity, quality and impact) on various topics, journals, authors and countries, among others. Its main research lines are the methodology for bibliometrics, the scientific disciplines and the health management and policies. Likewise, it has descriptive, evaluation and supervision/monitoring functions of the research activity, on which its classification into levels (micro, meso and maso) will depend directly. Because it has components from various sciences, among them the mathematics, its methodology and theory are based on mathematical models, from which the bibliometric indicators are derived. Although there are other types of research such as systematic reviews and meta-analyzes, these, require a better management in the field of research and of the statistical measurement, as well as more resources. On the other hand, a bibliometric study owns the nobility of being within the reach of students and researchers due to its methodology, practicality, relevance, resource saving, potential to extend to most of the scientific areas, multiple applications and favoring the fact of not committing ethical misconduct related to research. Finally, although bibliometrics is often underestimated, its power and importance as a tool to manage evidence-based knowledge and to serve as a basis for other types of studies such as systematic reviews must be emphasized.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127523082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To accomplish this, psychology has proposed, use valid and reliable measuring instruments in the Mexican population, since there is a primary need to understand the different levels of self-esteem in individuals. The objective of the study was composing a review of validated scales and psychological instruments in the Mexican population on Self-esteem in adolescents and young adults from 15 to 25 years old. To the Method, the collection of information was made through databases such as PUBMED, Redalyc, Google Academic, Scielo and Dialnet. The descriptors were Self-esteem, adolescence, youth, and instruments of psychological evaluation. 96 articles were found, which only 5 of them fulfill the criteria. The results reflect 5 scales and instruments that measure self-esteem in Mexican adolescents and young adults, the application of these instruments fluctuates from 14 to 51 years and presents a reliability >0.70. It is concluded that in Social Sciences and Psychology, the application of instruments provides objective measures for a variety of problems to deal with. For this reason, valid and reliable self-esteem scales in the Mexican population may smooth the progress of the selection depending on subscales or factors that the psychologist or researcher wants to address individually or in a group.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129787141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, growth can be affected by external factors linked to the family or school environment, which can cause behavioral, physical and socio-emotional disturbances to the development of the child, where social skills play a crucial role in preventing aggressive or violent behavior. The objective of this study was to determine the association between the orbitofrontal cortex and aggressive behavior in children from 11 to 13 years old, located in the city of Pachuca, Hidalgo. With a non-experimental design and a correlational scope, an intentional non-probability. A sample of 118 children participated. The participants were evaluated in two sessions, in the first with the Scale of Assertive Behavior for Children (CABS) and the second the Neuropsychological Battery of Executive Functions and Frontal Lobes (BANFE-2). A low and negative statistically significant correlation was found between aggressiveness and severe alteration in the orbitomedial cortex (r = -.273; p = <. 01). They were also highlighting the relationship between aggressiveness and severe alteration in the orbitomedial zone in males (r = -.302; p = <. 05).In conclusion, children who have a severe dysfunction in the orbitomedial cortex usually are more aggressive than those with an average or high score in this zone.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124392439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study is a bibliometric analysis of the publications of psychological interventions with a randomized controlled trial (RCT) that have been realized in parents of children with disabilities in the period from 1980 to 2019. As part of the search strategy, the Cochrane Library, Pubmed and Elsevier databases were used, making different combinations with the keywords \"children with disabilities\", \"parents\", \"intervention\" and \"randomized controlled trial”. The outcomes obtained reflect that 2015 was the year with the highest scientific activity in this field, being the Research in Developmental Disabilities journal the most prominent and the Cochrane Library database the one who concentrates the largest number of articles. In addition, the investigations have been realized in Anglo-Saxon countries such as Canada and United States, with an inclination towards the build-up of articles individually and focused on disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Regarding the characteristics of these interventions, it can be summarized that their format is group with an approximate duration of 2 hours per session, being the cognitive-behavioral approach and the behavioral control techniques the ones that stand out the most. Finally, the variable that has been more worked is effective communication and the most used statistical test to measure the effects of interventions is MANOVA.","PeriodicalId":235136,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Basic and Applied Psychology Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115726820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
