Psychological First Aid In The COVID-19 Context: Theoretical Review

The objective of this study was to carry out a theoretical review of the protocols, guides and manuals of Psychological First Aid developed in the COVID-19 context. It was a theoretical study, carried out by searching for articles in the following databases: Web of science, Dialnet, Google Scholar, Science Direct, E-spacio and Redalyc. The articles located that met the inclusion criteria were classified into sections according to their characteristics. It was possible to conclude that the different classifications allow the population to apply PAPs in situations that require it, as in the case of the COVID-19 pandemic; however, the need to increase the development and unify the action protocols is evident in order to uniformly attend the possible repercussions of the crises; as well as to ensure the evaluation of the results of these applications in a more effective manner.
