The ob-ject of research was the grapevine variety Livia, rootstocks SO4 and 41B. The studies were car-ried out in the conditions of a moderate conti-nental climate in the Central agroecological zone of viticulture of the Krasnodar region, on irrigat-ed vineyards in a covering culture. Scheme of planting bushes was 3.8×2 m. The soils are low-humus, leached powerful chernozems. The most productive were the vineyards on the rootstock 41B. The bunch size on the 41B rootstock was 1.34 times greater than on SO4, the yield capaci-ty – 1.56 and amounted to 696 g and 28.23 t/ha, respectively. The predominant influence of the 41B rootstock in comparison with SO4 on the productivity of the Livia grapes is preserved with a differentiated load of grape bushes with bunches. With a maximum load of bushes with bunches (SO4 – 33, 41B – 38 pcs./bush), their weight on the 41B rootstock was 43 % higher than on SO4, yield capacity – by 62 %, with an average load (SO4 – 27, 41B − 32 pcs./bush) – by 27 and 48 %, respectively, at minimum load (SO4 – 19, 41B – 23 pcs./bush) – by 32 and 59 %, respectively. The influence of rootstocks on the norm of bush load by shoots is not unam-biguous. Against the background of the maxi-mum number of bunches on bushes, the highest values of bunch weight and grape yield capacity on SO4 and 41B were at loads of 25 and 26 shoots/bush, average – 25 and 33 shoots/bush, minimum – 31 and 20 shoots/bush, respectively. For growing high yields and attractive sizes of bunches of table grapes of Livia variety in the Central agroecological zone of the Krasnodar re-gion, it is recommended to use rootstock 41B, the load norm of bushes with shoots of 26 and bunches of 38 pcs./ bush.","PeriodicalId":232100,"journal":{"name":"Russian Vine","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139193394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biologically and technologi-cally plastic seedless grape varieties that produce high-quality products are in great demand by production and consumers. The article discusses the agrobiological characteristics of seedless grape varieties bred in All-Russian Research Ya.I. Potapenko Institute for Viticulture and Winemaking, obtained as a result of interspecific crosses: Zolotse, Kivin, Cocktail, Pamyati Smir-nova, Shayan, Elf and Yarushka. Among these varieties according to the results of the study, the most winter-hardy ones were identified − Yarushka and Elf. Varieties of Pamyati Smirno-va, Cocktail, Zolotse are identified as sources of resistance to fungal diseases. High rates of seed-lessness (II and III categories) had the varieties: Kivin, Yarushka and Cocktail. The conducted studies allow us to recommend varieties for fresh consumption: Zolotse, Kivin, Pamyati Smirnova, Yarushka; for production of dried products: Zolotse, Kivin, Cocktail, Elf and Yarushka; for wine production all except of Pamyati Smirno-va. They all are recommended for cultivation in the 6th region (North Caucasus) without winter covering.","PeriodicalId":232100,"journal":{"name":"Russian Vine","volume":"5 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139195430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Potapenko Institute for Viticul-ture and Winemaking − branch of Federal State Budget Scientific Institution «Federal Rostov Agricultural Research Center» are carried out in the northernmost Russian region of industrial grapevine cultivation. New technical varieties have been bred that have a number of economi-cally valuable features inherent in wild Ameri-can species and Amur grapes, with berry quality close to European varieties. In recent years, technical varieties with white berry: Ledyanoy, Prestige, Izumrud, Nectariy and varieties with colored berry Lyrica, Krasnostop Carpi and Yakhontovy have been transferred to the State variety Testing. The results of the study of these grape varieties in the period from 2015 to 2022 are presented. These varieties have good winter hardiness, consistently high yields, re-sistance to major fungal diseases and are suita-ble for the production of high-quality dry wines. The article presents data on the main ag-robiological and technological indicators, me-chanical and chemical composition of bunches and data on winter hardiness. The tasting eval-uation of the wine material from the studied grape varieties is given. Based on the conduct-ed research, all tested varieties are recommend-ed for the production of high-quality dry wines. The studied grape varieties are used in further breeding work as sources of resistance to fungal diseases and adverse environmental conditions.","PeriodicalId":232100,"journal":{"name":"Russian Vine","volume":"67 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139194431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was carried out in the conditions of Novocherkassk branch of the experimental field on the technical varie-ty Cvetochniy. Over the past decade, in the Rostov region, due to changes in climatic con-ditions, as well as with the appearance of a large number of lands overgrown with weeds, sucking pests have moved to grapevine plants. Subsequently, damage by sucking pests leads to a decrease in the yield and quality of grapes. The lack of precipitation in June 2022 and the high temperatures in July are factors that did not favorably affect the prevalence of cicada populations. Chemical treatments with insecti-cides were carried out in a timely manner. The effectiveness of insecticide Kinfos was proved against sucking pests of grapes in vineyards of Rostov region. In order to determine an eco-nomically significant threshold for the number of pest populations and make a decision on protective measures, it is advisable to systemat-ically monitor their prevalence. To predict the development of harmful organisms, it is neces-sary to take into account the meteorological conditions of winter and growing season. Ac-cording to the results of monitoring studies, it was found that in the conditions of 2022, three generations of the roseate cicada and one gen-eration of the humpback buffalo, two genera-tions of the grape thrips developed.","PeriodicalId":232100,"journal":{"name":"Russian Vine","volume":"152 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139195709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article presents research materials on must and dry wines from hybrid forms of grapes of the AZOSViV breeding – 62-21, 62-20 and 62-24 (F/U Dzhemete×Cabernet Sauvi-gnon). These hybrids are studied in the hybrid plot to identify a set of economically valuable and adaptively significant traits and properties that exceed the standard varieties. All hybrid forms are of technical direction and medium maturity. Productivity is high, tolerant to phyl-loxera. Must and wine from the Cabernet Sauvignon variety were used as controls. Train-ing system \"Spiral cordon AZOS-1\". Planting scheme 3.5×2.0 m. As a result of the techno-chemical analysis of the must from the studied hybrids, it was revealed that by the time of har-vesting they had accumulated more sugars than the control variety. The titratable acidity of the must of the hybrid form 62-20 and control (Cabernet Sauvignon) was significantly higher than in other variants of the experiment. Based on the glucoacidometric index, the must of hy-brids 62-21 and 62-24 was the most optimal for obtaining high-quality red wines. All hybrid forms contained more phenolic substances in berries than Cabernet Sauvignon (control). Wine materials from the studied hybrids have a high alcohol content and a reserve of extractive and phenolic substances, which exceeds the control in these parameters. As a result of the tasting analysis of wine materials from the stud-ied hybrids, it was revealed that they are not inferior to the control Cabernet Sauvignon, and the forms 62-21 and 62-24 are rated higher than it.","PeriodicalId":232100,"journal":{"name":"Russian Vine","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139293439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The studies were carried out in 2006−2022 at Don ampelographic collection named after Ya.I. Potapenko (Novocherkassk, Rostov region). The variety is cultivated in a grafted (rootstock Kober 5BB) covering cul-ture, the scheme of planting bushes is 3.0 × 1.5 m. The study was carried out using methods generally accepted in viticulture and State Standarts. An ampelographic description of the variety (crowns of a young shoot, leaf, bunch, berry) and an analysis of meteorological condi-tions of the research are given. According to the results of long-term observations, the Don autochthonous grapevine variety Varyushkin has a high agrobiological potential in the climat-ic conditions of the Lower Don region (71 % of blossoming buds, 58 % of fruitful shoots, fruit-ing coefficient 0.8, average bunch weight 253 g, yield 109 c/ha). Medium ripening variety (141 days). When reaching technological ma-turity, it accumulates sugars of 22.3 g/100 cm3 with a titratable acidity of 8.2 g/dm3. It has the following characteristics: bunch length 17.2 cm, bunch width − 9.2 cm, berry length − 14.7 mm, berry width − 13.9 mm. The average weight of 1 berry was 2.1 g. Dry red wine from Varyush-kin variety has a harmonious taste and has a tasting score at the level of wine from the clas-sic Pinot noir variety (8.6 points). Therefore, the variety can be used to expand the raw material resource in order to produce high-quality wines that help meet the needs of the population, as well as a valuable genetic material for breeding.","PeriodicalId":232100,"journal":{"name":"Russian Vine","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139303983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
