The relevance of the study lies in the fact that for the first time Golubev's contribution to the education of not only Russian composers, but also representatives of different national cultures — Hrant Grigoryan, Kapan Musin, Todor Popov, Andrey Eshpai and others is considered. The questions of the master's compositional pedagogy, which were little studied until now, are touched. The object of the research is Golubev's diary \"Alogisms\", as well as the memories of his students. The author highlights activities of Golubev's students who connected their creativity with other national cultures. Among them were Valentin Konchakov (1933–1993) who worked in Karelia and contributed greatly to the development of folk art in this republic, and the composer Aida Isakova (1940–2012) who participated in the formation of Kazakh musical culture in Alma-Ata and wrote essays on national themes.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129310576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, European oil painting was brought to China. The first part of the article analyzes the heated debates that arose in Chinese cultural and artistic circles during the XXth century, when European art began to be widely introduced into China. In the second part, the spread of European oil painting in China and the development of Chinese oil painting in the XXth century are divided into three main stages according to the development characteristics of different eras. It also discusses the main ways of introducing and disseminating new painting techniques, teaching methods and the extent of influence at each stage. After more than 100 years, European oil painting was accepted by China and became an important part of Chinese culture.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124037351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

I. Yasinsky, A. D. Reipolsky, F. F. Aminov, M. A. Bychkov, K. O. Pochtennaya, S. Yu. Badelina and A. Ya. Lomaev. The drawings are considered in terms of preserving the traditions of the \"Lebedev school\", namely, the principles that the artists adhere to in relation to the entertainment and cognitive value of illustrations in art publications for children, which is especially important today, when the problem of children refusing to read is acute, and communication with a book is often supplanted by the interaction with various gadgets. Based on the requirements of V. V. Lebedev to drawings in a children's book and the studies of Russian teachers and psychologists, the author highlights the formal and content features of the illustrations, which make it possible to consider them entertaining and informative, and analyzes the illustrations of Saint Petersburg artists according to these criteria. The results of the study show that modern Saint Petersburg artists continue, to varying degrees, the tradition of V. V. Lebedev's school, concerning the cognitive and entertaining nature of drawings, using various means of artistic expression.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"211 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121217347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main stages of the cycle concept formation and its leading dramatic principles are highlighted in the historical context. The chronological \"path\" of five posthumously published manuscript variations is analyzed separately: having received several variants of their arrangement within the cycle, they were eventually excluded by the author from the latest editions. On the examples of the famous performances by Alfred Cortot, Vladimir Sofronitsky, Sviatoslav Richter and Maria Grinberg, various possibilities for a more complete interpretation of the \"Symphonic Etudes\" are presented, expanding them with the artistically valuable material of the five \"posthumous variations\". The article will be useful both for pianists and performers of Schumann's music, as well as for students and musicologists whose scientific interest lies in the piano music of the German composer.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116352146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The consequences of this process can be seen in changes of classical forms of teaching design in higher education. One of the most popular methods of obtaining new ideas of shaping in design is experiment. The authors of the article also consider it to be one of the most effective forms of design education for students. In order to prove it and obtain new forms and methods of design training at the Industrial Design Department of the Institute of Design of the RSU named after A. N. Kosygin а pedagogical experiment was conducted. The experiment in design education was considered as a way to get new ideas in shaping of industrial products. In the course of the pedagogical experiment students used artistic images of wildlife for the formation of design objects based on associative-shaped modeling. According to the results of the pedagogical experiment, a new methodology of educational design in the direction of \"Design\" was developed, based on the principles of bionic shaping of objects of graphic and industrial design — by the method of associative-shaped modeling. The use of the developed methods resulted in the increase of the level of term and graduation projects of students of the Industrial Design Department, what was repeatedly noted by specialists in the field of design.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116508964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author analyzes the place of the \"environmental design\" specialty in the educational systems of various countries, in particular, Russia and China. It is pointed out, that only in these countries the subject under study belongs to the field of education in the sphere of art and culture. That forms some features of students’ training, as well as in the methodology, goals and content of environmental design as a scientific field. This work studies the problems that arise in the process of training specialists and of their subsequent employment in Russia and in China. In particular, the author notes that there is an equation of the concepts of \"environmental design\" and \"environmental approach\" in Russia, which leads to misunderstanding of the theoretical boundaries of environmental design. In the article these two concepts are distinguished. Examining environmental design through the prism of the Ervin Laszlo’s \"grand synthesis\" theory, the author concludes that environmental design is a complex discipline, which synthesizes different scientific fields, and can have further dynamics in the development. Environmental design is presented as a field of activity that combines economic and cultural aspects within the framework of creative work. Due to the specificity of environmental design, as well as to the desire of Russia and China to increase cultural capital, this discipline has prospects for expanding the field of research in future. Also, the article highlights three possible directions for further development of environment design, including architectural, landscape and exhibition approaches.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127561461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Akathistic iconography, becoming the visual culmination of Mariological Christianity, embraced the entire sum of symbolic meanings of the image of the Virgin and, due to the special veneration of Our Lady in Russia, received a special meaning in Russian culture. Despite all the perfection of the iconographic types developed in Byzantium, the Theotokos image in iconography could not remain unchanged. The iconography of the Virgin is quite comparable to a similar phenomenon in church poetry, where in the Akathistos, so widespread in Russia, a different combination of epithets and comparisons creates each time a unique verbal image of the Virgin. The Akathist to Our Lady became widespread in Russia in the first half of the XIVth — early XVth centuries. From the functional aspect of \"motherhood\" a transformation of the perspective \"spiritual motherhood in relation to believers\" is drawn, since the icons show Our Lady in the role of \"the real mother of every believer\", \"the mother of everything earthly on earth.\" The transformation of the functional aspect \"place in the hierarchy system\" determines the angle \"leader of the heavenly army\" — the Mother of God is shown by the intercessor of the Moscow Kingdom.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125492286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work examines Xiao Youmei (1884–1940), one of the most outstanding representatives of Chinese music culture in the first half of the XXth century. His contribution to Chinese music education and science include the organization of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (1927), the upgrading of national musicology and the development of the first textbooks on music theory and history for training specialists. Of particular importance is Xiao Youmei's educational activities, related to the study of European music and the definition of the main directions in its research. The article mainly discusses the methods used by the Chinese musicologist in introducing European music to the students of the first music educational institutions in China. Theoretical and historical problems of European music are taught in Xiao Youmei’s textbooks: \"Essays on the History of Western Music\" (1920–1923), \"General Musicology\" (1928), \"Harmony\" (1932). They were distinguished by the following features: an overview principle of the presentation of the material, an expansion of the range of languages used by the term authors, several musical examples and a lack of scientific resources, which is explained by the stage of origin of the music educational system and scientific platform in China in the first decades of the XXth century. One of the main features of the content expressed in Xiao Youmei's textbooks is the correlation between various parameters of Chinese and European music. The paper provides examples illustrating the method of using the notions of one thinking system to explain the other (in the field of harmony, instrumental science). It is explained by the transitional stage in the formation of Chinese musicology — from the old system of notation to the new one.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125681139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author suggests, on the one hand, to enrich the traditional topics of the course with more capacious content through a wider coverage of diverse, including opposite methodological approaches, to boldly show a varied multiplicity in solving different methodological problems and, thereby, to give the course a more multidimensional, multipolar character. On the other hand, in response to today's requests, the expansion of the problem field of the course and the introduction of new topics, such as \"Mimicry and Gestures of a Pianist\", \"Formation of a Performing Concept\", \"Methods of Creating a Soloist Cadenza\" and others are motivated.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127943379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
