At that time, the Ural Conservatory developed and introduced into the educational process new curricula with a historical and stylistic orientation in a comprehensive course in Music Theory and Solfeggio. This article highlights the principles of constructing these courses, the logic of deploying their content, the main approaches and methods, and also summarizes the long-term experience of teaching them. Each of the programs is presented in several versions, focused on different specialties. Of the two versions of the Music Theory course (for musicologists and for performers), the emphasis is on the latter as the most vividly realizing the key idea — the integration of musical-theoretical disciplines under the auspices of the historical style. The considered samples of Solfeggio programs (among musicologists and among vocalists) differ in the number of academic hours (1 year – 3 years), which allows the course to be organized differently based on the historical and stylistic approach — either synchronously or diachronically. At the end of the article, attention is drawn to the main difficulties encountered in the process of mastering these programs, and the most important results.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115698444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The library, being a social organism, cannot exist outside of the spiritual life of society, it is one of the most important tools of its development. Changing role of information in modern society directly affects the transformation of some functions of libraries. The study of the ontological foundations of the library can help to reveal its mission at the turn of the epochs. The aim of the study is to consider the phenomenon of the library in the historical context as an institution of culture, providing circulation of social experience. Transformations in the life of society and in the activity of the library as a social organism create the task of defining a strategy for its development. When considering this problem, a systematic approach was used. Culture is considered as a system of supra-biological programs, in which the library acts as an element of this system. General logical methods of cognition such as analogy, analysis, synthesis, generalization and prediction were also applied. The material of the article characterizes the library of a new type as a cultural universal, accumulating and broadcasting social experience. The article presents the philosophical foundations of the library in the context of the universals of culture, describes its main functions, reveals the essence and characteristics of the library of a new type, identifies socio-cultural practices as an important factor in the formation of information mobility of students. As a result of the study the following conclusions were made: 1. The ontological foundations of the traditional and modern library are common, which characterizes it as a cultural universal. 2. The transformation of the functions of modern libraries led to the emergence of a new type of library. 3. Consideration and study of the philosophical foundations of the library of a new type let to reveal its mission at the turn of the epochs, as well as to predict further ways of its development.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"341 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117348444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sources include information from periodicals and art reference books, materials from museum and archival collections. A special role in the study of Robillard's biography is played by his archive, stored in the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (Moscow), which revealed previously unknown facts about the life and work of the French master. The article examines the little-known period in Robillard's oeuvre in the 1840s–1850s, when he worked first as a lithographer and then as a pastelist. The author introduces previously unknown archival materials related to the activities of the French master's photographic studio and his social activities and analyzes the reasons for its rapid decline and liquidation, and provides arguments in favor of a new estimated date of Robillard's death. The main task of the article is to reconstruct the general direction of the artist's creative path, about which little was known until now. Domestic research on the history of light painting rarely mentions Robillard's name, which seems unfair and can be explained by insufficient study of his life and work. Thus, the relevance of studying the legacy of Robillard, deservedly one of the leading masters of photography of the 1860s, becomes evident.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124893159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this article is to find mechanisms of interaction between dance and music based on coordination of their temporal parameters. The material of analysis is the classical dance cycle that performs both compositional and dramaturgical functions in the ballet. Apart from the metrorhythmic and compositional system of organizing time in ballet music, other types of time can be distinguished: real, psychological (subjective) and conceptual, artistic time organizing the processes of the characters' life cycle and the development of action in the virtual time of the artwork. In a classical dance cycle in each number, real time predominates, but when the numbers alternate, subject to the principle of contrast, the conceptual time has a corrective effect. The alternation of musical and choreographic numbers in a ballet determines the rhythm of the form or \"compositional rhythm\" (according to V. P. Bobrovsky). The correlation of temporal proportions of numbers is considered on the example of ballets \"Swan Lake\" by P. Tchaikovsky and \"Petrushka\" by I. Stravinsky. The compositional unit is the duration of the stage segment of the musical form, the change of which creates the rhythm of the form.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124958012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its integral part is the issue of fixing educational material on the musical-theoretical disciplines \"Elementary Music Theory\", \"Solfeggio\", \"Harmony\", \"Analysis of Musical Works\", \"Polyphony\". Memorizing the exercises by heart with subsequent playing on the piano, and writing down the musical text in Braille represent the two main ways of such fixation (the third one requires mastering computer programmes). Particular attention is paid to the difficulties of written fixation in Harmony. Students acquire the skills to write in four lines while still in college, but with such writing they can mix up a cell or a line on a Braille writing device. Writing in one line reminds of singing harmonic solfeggio exercises as one-voiced, in the direction from bass to soprano, but when writing each note in a line, students must indicate the octave sign. The optimal solution is to write in columns, where each measure is written in the form of four columns. This reduces the total work time for solving the harmony task, as it enables better navigation in the space of the Braille device (more than twenty bars can fit on one page).","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123770516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Treaty of Friendship, Alliance and Mutual Assistance between these two countries, signed in Moscow on February 14, 1950, became a starting point in the development of cultural contacts. The most productive period was from 1949 to early 1960s. An important marker of the development of Soviet-Chinese cultural relations was the tour of theater troupes from both countries to the Soviet Union and the Celestial Empire. The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theater team visited China in 1954, and later the artists of the Shaoxing Opera and the Shanghai Theater of Beijing Musical Drama demonstrated their art in Russian cities. The two countries' directors showed mutual interest in the classical opera art of their counterparts: in Beijing and Tianjin P. I. Tchaikovsky's \"Eugene Onegin\" and \"The Queen of Spades\" were performed by Chinese singers, while in Russian cities the traditional Chinese theatre plays \"The Spilled Cup\" and \"The Grey-Haired Girl\" were staged by Russian artists.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"12 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116126765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The events unfolding before our eyes in the socio-cultural, political, economic and even biological life of modern society testify to a deep systemic crisis of modern civilization. In this regard, attempts at analytical comprehension of the crisis state of culture, identifying cause-and-effect relationships that have led to this state, as well as the experience of anti-crisis modeling and searching possible ways to overcome the crisis seem to be in demand and relevant. This work, relying on the culturological approach and using the method of culturological hermeneutics, presents the experience of theoretical fixation of the types of responses to the crisis state of culture common for transition periods, the semantic content of which can be determined in three main ways: 1) inversion mechanisms, where human consciousness tends to transfer ready-made, well-known cultural models to the new cultural ground; 2) mediation mechanisms, implying human acceptance of transforming reality; 3) eristic principle — a situation of semantic pluralism up to the shift of value poles.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122485895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article is devoted to the origin and value-semantic foundations of such a direction of modern digital art as glitch art. The origins of this direction, which lies in the aesthetics of Futurism, experiments in concrete music, as well as in the technique of deconstruction and recombination of parts of the original image in Cubism, are considered. Examples of glitch art are given — \"Tali Hinkus\" by Paul Hertz, \"Glitch Diva\" by Elena Romenkova, \"White\" (from the \"Utopia\" series) by Viktor Makurin, parallels with cinema works (\"The Matrix\" directed by Wachowski) are drawn. An important property of digital art is its ability to fill the global information space with new meanings and values: it is both a protest against total technocracy and digitalization, and a fixed gap in collective techno-hypnosis, and a display of the processes of the human subconscious. The study of this phenomenon allows to take a critical look at the interaction of the physical and digital world within modern culture, to identify the prospects for this interaction.","PeriodicalId":228633,"journal":{"name":"Arts education and science","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116602150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
