She and her colleagues became the founders of the Shanghai Women's Quartet. At the same time, Lin Yingyong was a professor of the Shanghai Conservatory, where she worked with young musicians over half a century. During this time, she produced a vast number of cello textbooks, pieces of play-books and cello arrangements such as \"Cello Exercises\", \"Selected Cello Concertos for Young People\" and many others, which were well received by teachers and young performers. Lin Yingyong has educated many students of different ages, from schoolchildren to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
