The research reveals the methods of mastering the educational capacities of works of art in the higher education system. The article describes the results of a multi-stage experiment conducted at the Siberian Federal University aimed at studying the influence of communication with works of art on the formation of students’ worldview. In the description of the experiment the authors demonstrate various aspects of the correlation between the visual thinking activity of students and their skills of worldview modeling.
