The author traces the technology of organizing a dialogue between an official and the audience through interactive communication methods in the program “Governor’s Line” (GTRK “Don-TR”, 2011-2021). This project was one of the first in the country (and the first in the Rostov region) to provide regular and direct television communication of the chief executive of the regional government with the residents of the subject. The purpose of the study is to determine the features of interaction between the governor, the journalist and the audience in the framework of an interactive television project. The article discusses the effectiveness of interactive communication, differentiates feedback methods by the level of interactivity. Attention is focused on the absence of dependence of the creation of authentic communication on the use of elements of a high level of interactivity. Some aspects of the influence of the types of feedback channels on the effectiveness of the interaction “power-media-society” are considered. The importance of the leading role in building effective communication is investigated. With the help of comparative analysis and systematization of the data obtained, it is concluded that there is a tendency to reduce the interactive set of methods used. The main reasons for the abolition of feedback channels are analyzed, which lie in increased pressure (financial and political) from the authorities, their desire to create an impeccable political image and, as a result, unwillingness to take part in acute social discussions. The idea is substantiated that the reduction of interactive methods leads to the imitation of dialogue and has a destructive effect on the communication “governor-audience”.","PeriodicalId":228573,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Southern Federal University. Lewis. The main philological theories of the phenomenon of author’s reflections in the literary text are considered. Author’s reflections in a literary text, as a rule, are aimed at finding the causes and meaning of the events depicted, may contain a detailed author’s assessment of the character of the hero, his actions, situation, or they may prescribe the ethical necessity of the hero’s actions. The author’s reasoning about a person can model a conditional situation: describe how the hero would act under certain circumstances. The author’s reflections on anthropological themes in the fairy tale for adults “That Hideous Strength” are analyzed. C.S. Lewis’s reflections on man in “That Hideous Strength” are considered and classified from the point of view of their communicative function. Some aspects of translation of the author’s reflections in “That Hideous Strength” into Russian are discussed. The article attempts to comprehend the role of the author’s reflections on man in the literary anthropology of C.S. Solzhenitsyn. The author of the article aims at proving that the inclusion of the proposed concept in scientific circulation is relevant for the study of the writer’s aesthetics. Understanding the «writer’s “worldview geography”» as an aesthetic principle of the writer, which is realized in travel notes and literary texts about the journey based on the impressions of the trip, the author of the study insists that, choosing a place, Solzhenitsyn proceeded from his own ethical and aesthetic position, the writer explained the “alien” world through his own. Solzhenitsyn’s worldview, whose fate is inseparable from the fate of Russia and the Russian people, is the main reference point for evaluation. They are at the center of the writer’s world. Solzhenitsyn’s travel notes are an example of the writer’s high powers of observation, and also demonstrate not only topics of interest during the trip (history, modernity, connection with Russian, architecture, everyday life, school, religion, culture), but also the writer’s own ideological constants (the strategy of truth, convergence of ethics and aesthetics, memory, self-restraint, “sighted love” for Russia, comprehension of the Providence of God about man and people). Penetrating the very “air” of the horizons being opened, Solzhenitsyn the traveler encourages his Russian reader to think about the history, everyday life, lifestyle, philosophy and religion of the countries of the West and Asia. The material of the study was fragments of “essays on exile” by A.I. Solzhenitsyn dedicated to his trips to France, Norway, Sweden, England, Scotland, Spain, Japan, Taiwan, Canada and the USA. Until recently, researchers’ attention (K. Stirling, I. Platt, C. Blomeley) has been mainly focused on female national figures. Nevertheless, one of the basic categories of Scottish cultural identity has always been masculinity rather than femininity. Consequently, the key cultural trope of national literature is considered the “hard man”. The aim of this research is to provide a comprehensive analysis of male characters in A. Gray’s fiction based on J. Homberg-Schramm’s classification of national masculinity types: traditional man, compensatory man, and the man in transition. In his novels, traditional masculinity is associated with the generation of “fathers”, and is hugely criticized as a relic of the past. Toxic masculinity is embodied in the figures of “justified sinners” (misfits, and men suffering from mental disorders) whose viciousness results from colonial trauma. In order to fight degrading national stereotypes A. Gray has produced a number of positive images of male characters who, interestingly enough, serve as an illustration of writer’s changing views on Scottish masculinity. The nomination of the colour “metallized” continuum of the English fairy-tale discourse is carried out through the verbalization of the colour of precious metals (gold, silver), non-ferrous metals (iron) and alloys (bronze). “Metallized” colour names reveal a limited position – 12 units. Lexical units golden, silvery, bronzed are the most general designations of the metallic colours within the ancient English worldview. The color of gold – golden – dominates as hierarchically the most significant one. English fairy-tales represent a wide use of “metallized” colour names within the NATURE, HUMAN BEING and SUPERNATURAL domains. “Metallized” colour names join such thematic groups, as FAUNA, FLORA, NATURAL PHENOMENON (within the NATURE domain), APPEARANCE, ACTIVITY, ARTEFACTS (within the HUMAN BEING domain) and APPEARANCE (within the SUPERNATURAL domain). “Metallized” colour names are indirectly related to colour explication. The lexical units conveying “metallized” colour designations are characterized by part-ofspeech heterogeneity, simple / complex structure of constituents, the presence of an identifier of a qualitative feature and shading semantics, axiological marking, the unproductiveness of the formation of diminutives, the presence / absence of a non-colour component, the presence / absence of signs of radiance and shine.","PeriodicalId":228573,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Southern Federal University. It is proved that modern plays based on Chekhov’s short stories reveal the peculiarities of the presentation of events in the prose of the classic of Russian literature. These features allowed Chekhov to express the complexities of subjective relations at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries, when for the first time the communicative crisis characterizing the relationship of the Self and the Other manifested itself. Chekhov, in fact, not only points out the “boundaries” of understanding the personality of Others and the problematic nature of understanding oneself as Another, but also “suggests” ways to resolve a crisis situation. The author of “The Lady with the Dog” engages the reader in a dialogue with himself and his character due to the complex correlation of different ideological points of view and the assertion of the unreliability of any personal position, which has the character not of universality, but of limitation. The result of the dialogue with the author is the staging of Chekhov’s “Lady with the Dog” by Asya Voloshina. The modern playwright declares that the essence of the dramatization is the author’s version of Chekhov’s story. Voloshina offers the reader /viewer a text in which she shows both her understanding of the main idea of the story of the end of the XIX century, and her own vision of the peculiarities of Chekhov’s communicative strategy, who invited her as the reader to find her own answer to the Chekhov’s question posed by his characters.","PeriodicalId":228573,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Southern Federal University. The war required a complete reorganization of the structure and headings of both newspapers, intensifying the political differences between the two competing newspapers, adding additional topics around which there was a sharp controversy. If the interpretations of the war at the Kazan Telegraph in the first months were dominated by arguments on the theme of the Greatness of Russia, the uniqueness of the Russian people and the Russian Tsar, while the war is the moment when Russia must fulfill its Divine calling, then in the Kamsko-Volzhskaya Rech, often the word “catastrophe” sounded also cultural, civilizational, and we, the Russian people, must unite in the face of an impending catastrophe. Newspapers of that time are also a valuable source on the daily life of Kazan and the cities of the province during the First World War. Identification of the topics of newspapers in connection with the war, as well as the nature of the general interpretation of the war in both Kazan newspapers, allowed the author to reveal the features of the functioning of the Russian provincial press of this period.","PeriodicalId":228573,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Southern Federal University. Since the sphere of literary studies has been searching for universal laws for describing artistic creativity for more than two centuries, and the poetics of literature was formed within the framework of various methodological schools, that are in a state of intense discussion, there are a number of approaches that put fundamentally different meanings into the same concept. The analysis of the accepted approaches in the description of the term “literary process” in Russian literary criticism, traditional conventions in the presentation of the literary process that have developed in Russian literary criticism under the influence of global and local trends, leads to the conclusion that the study of the literary process as a theoretical problem has come to the point of the need to create a new work of a generalizing type, which is associated with the actualization and reactualization of a number of methods.","PeriodicalId":228573,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Southern Federal University.
