The function of the museum is not only to display, education and collection, but also has the responsibility for the communication of foreign language. Therefore, English interpretation is an important force to help the museum develop this function. Taking the Shanghai Planetarium as an example, this paper discusses the problems in the English interpretation of science Museum, and mainly puts forward the following three suggestions: first, to attract more talents with astronomical knowledge background; second, to strengthen the astronomical knowledge training for non-astronomical professional interpreters; third, to comprehensively improve the English interpretation level of interpreters and educators by means of cooperation between museums and schools, and to build a sustainable platform for English interpretation and communication.","PeriodicalId":221229,"journal":{"name":"Contemporary Education and Teaching Research","volume":"106 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131016345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the popularity of the Internet, online payment and settlement have brought greater convenience to people's daily life. At present, more than 90% of higher vocational colleges and universities in China that offer e-commerce majors take Online Payment and Settlement as their professional foundation course. Through learning this course, higher vocational students understand and master the basic knowledge of online payment and settlement, which lays a good foundation for the subsequent learning of other courses in e-commerce and promotes the career development of higher vocational students at the same time. Therefore, teachers in higher vocational institutions should explore the course of Online Payment and Settlement in-depth, innovate teaching methods and promote the teaching reform of this course, so as to improve the teaching quality and teaching effect of the course.","PeriodicalId":221229,"journal":{"name":"Contemporary Education and Teaching Research","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131706031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cluster random sampling was used to select two sections out of three sections with 38 students each in the experimental and the control groups. The quantitative data was analyzed using a pre-test and post-test scores while students’ reflective journal was analyzed using a coding system.The findings of the study showed a remarkable difference in the post-test scores. The mean scores of the control group and of the experimental group were 9.5 and 11.5 respectively. In addition,the student’s reflective journals revealed that the Kagans Cooperative Learning structure (KCLS) was interesting, provided with equal opportunities,enhanced active participation, and the brain breaks and cheers helped them keep themselves alert and boost retention level of learning.","PeriodicalId":221229,"journal":{"name":"Contemporary Education and Teaching Research","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121383309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the face of such adversity administration of online education came as an appropriate antidote. The transaction to online teaching took place in March 2020 with the detection of the first case of COVID -19 along with rising number of imported cases owing to the return of Bhutanese from abroad. This article portrays the ability of Bhutan to continue education in the midst of lockdown through online learning platforms and reaching out the unreached through distribution of SIM (self-instructional materials) for various key stages. This modus operandi took care of every individual student. No one was left behind in terms of their achievement of the expected learning outcomes. Bhutan’s experiences can intensify everyone’s attention towards sensitizing both teachers and learners on different modes of online delivery to engage learners meaningfully during unforeseen times. The study explored the impact of educational technology tools on the learning achievement of B.Ed. science students in Ecology at Samste College of Education, Bhutan. The study adopted a quasi-experimental design and the study was guided by postpositivist worldview. Pretest and posttest were administered before and after the intervention. Purposive sampling was used to select one section of students at Samtse College of Education. The quantitative data were collected by using the survey questionnaire. The qualitative data was collected using semi-structured interviews. The quantitative data were analysed statistically using SPSS and qualitative data were analysed thematically. The findings of the study revealed that students have positive opinion towards various educational technology tools as it made the learning interesting and fun. The mean difference between pretest and posttest was 8.6 indicating that educational technology tools has enhanced students learning achievement in Ecology. Triangulation of three data sources such as survey questionnaire, interview and literature also revealed that educational technology tools enhance students' learning achievement. There are numerous advantages of using educational technology tools in teaching, learning and assessment. Some of the advantages of educational technology tools are gaining attention, motivating students, encouraging interaction and independent learning. The finding also listed some challenges of using educational technology tools such as time management, understanding new educational technology, adaptability struggle, distraction, technical issues, and limited ICT knowledge. Educational technology tools integrated in the module will be further replicated by student teachers in schools. Therefore tutors were recommended to use variety of educational technology tools were recommended.","PeriodicalId":221229,"journal":{"name":"Contemporary Education and Teaching Research","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121373554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
