For this, we have given them a paper and pencil questionnaire of sixty minutes duration and composed of four questions. Most of the conceptual difficulties identified on analyzing the data were 1. Objectʼs mass influences its fall speed; 2. Gravitational acceleration depends on the force gravitation (weight); 3. During the free fall without friction, the gravitational acceleration at any given time increases as the fall progresses; and 4. During the free fall without friction, the speed at any given time is constant as the fall progresses. This can be explained by their different educational trajectories in preparation for entering the university. In such conditions, provided that the chemistry course is extremely short, it is proposed to concentrate the educational process on lectures and seminars on a few basic points that are interesting and accessible to all categories of students. The example of such point, namely the topic “Solutions” is given. Assessment is focused on summative assessment, which is realized by a mark, verbal assessment or a combination thereof. The paper focuses on the issue of formative assessment as one of the forms of school assessment. Formative assessment focuses on frequent assessment of a student's learning progress and the use of feedback when their performance can be further improved. With the help of feedback, the teacher can detect and diagnose deficiencies, causes, errors and difficulties in students' learning. It helps him determine the difference between the current level of assessed performance and the standard. Teachers use various formative assessment tools to obtain assess, students' learning progress, and decide about further action. During the distance form of teaching, we carried out research focused on the implementation of a prediction card as a tool for formative assessment in the teaching of Biology at the grammar school. The research sample consisted of 12 students of the 4th year of grammar school. We developed a prediction card for the topics: Mutations, Gender Inheritance, and Gene Manipulation. To implement the prediction card, we used the online application Socrative, through which students stated whether the statement is true or false. The idea of integrated teaching is currently emerging mainly in connection with the concept of education for the future and in response to the announced reduction of educational content in the Framework Educational Programs. Teachers do not take a negative view of the principles of integrated teaching, however according to previous research, one of the main reasons for not implementing integrated teaching, is lack of suitable materials. The contribution presents the proposed content and structure of teaching material (worksheet), that can be used in teaching Integrated Science (especially at the grammar school). For practical documentation of the given general rules, examples from the proposed worksheet on the topic “Chlorine cycle”, which is currently reviewed by high school teachers of chemistry, biology, geography and physics, are used. The worksheet is also used to illustrate the connection between the educational aims of integrated subjects and a new aim. This approach includes systemic assessment which allows the teachers to evaluate the students’ skills, and determine and identify relationships among concepts. The goal of the presented research was to identify the opinions and attitudes of teachers related to the way inorganic chemistry was taught using systemic assessment in the 2nd year of a grammar school. To achieve this goal, a methodology was created specifically for the topic “Calcium and Its Componounds”; its implementation took the distance form due to the pandemic situation. 17 teachers participated in the research. Teachers’ opinions on this methodology were collected using a scale questionnaire. The questionnaire showed that this methodology helps enhance knowledge, develop systemic and critical thinking as well as the abilities to synthesize information and to apply the knowledge in practice. She deals with the methodological aspects of the approach which are transferrable beyond CLIL and beneficial to future teachers of any subject. Specifically, she discusses scaffolding, i.e., the supporting strategies guiding a pupil through increasingly more challenging tasks. The studentsʼ experience with experimental chemistry teaching forms in the previous study at high school are discussed here. The use of research tools such as three-tier test, didactic test, and interview is challenging not only in terms of methodology, but it is also lengthy and demanding in terms of unambiguous evaluation and interpretation. The aim of the paper is to present the construction of a simple tool – bipolar assertion scale. Its aim is to determine the adequate and appropriate ideas of lower secondary school pupils about the atom, not excluding the importance the science process skills. The presented tool is composed of a set of statements that present acceptable or unacceptable statements about the atom, its structure and properties. We work with construct validity. In the Czech curriculum documents for grammar schools (called gymnázium), mathematics is divided into the topics of argumentation and verification, number and variable, working with data, combinatorics, probability, dependence and functional relations, and geometry. Knowledge from these areas is then also used in solving chemical tasks, such as calculations in chemistry, determining the geometry of molecules or analysing data from tables and graphs. It can be assumed that mathematical literacy is key to successfully solving selected tasks in chemistry. This assumption was verified in a controlled interview with 5 grammar school graduates who achieved different learning outcomes in chemistry and mathematics.
