The terms «blended learning» and «hybrid learning» are considered synonymous and are understood as learning when the online and life formats alternate each other with the same intensity. The main characteristics of hybrid training of future bachelors-translators have been highlighted: the simultaneous existence of old and new technologies; the focus on the modern educational environment; the replacement of the obsolete part of the traditional educational process with innovative methods and technologies; the efficiency of material development increase. The stages of hybrid education of future bachelors-translators have been described and the procedure of evaluating the effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of hybrid learning has been described on the example of the selective educational component «Fundamentals of Literary Translation». The results of the questionnaire on the satisfaction of the use of hybrid learning in the process of training students in the system of higher education have been analyzed. {"title":"Contemporary Ukrainian Youth in the Dialogue with Hryhorii Skovoroda: Some Results of Field Research","authors":"N. Dichek, H. Ivaniuk, Natalia Hohol","doi":"10.12958/2227-2747-2022-2(180)-3-16","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12958/2227-2747-2022-2(180)-3-16","url":null,"abstract":"The article presents the results of an empirical study in the form of Computer Assisted Web Interviewing of the target audience – students of the 7 Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions from the main macro-regions (except for the occupied territories) – on their perception of the figure and ideas of the Ukrainian philosopher, writer, educator Hryhorii Skovoroda (1722–1794). A non-ordered random survey was conducted in cooperation with professors of the Higher Education Institutions. The questionnaire has been developed by Prof. N. Dichek. The key ideas of the thinker about the meaning of life and the understanding of happiness, identified by N. Dichek in previous studies, have become the theoretical basis of the questionnaire. The field study has been conducted in 2 stages: before the start of the Russian aggression against Ukraine (198 people managed to take part in winter) and during the full-scale military aggression (228 people in summer). During both sections, students wereasked to answer the same questions, which ensured the comparability of the results. It has been found that H. Skovoroda is a conscious personified component of national historical memory (more than 90% of respondents); for 20% of the participants, he is also a role model. The most perceived of the proposed ethical and philosophical concepts of H. Skovoroda was the concept of the need for self-knowledge in order to achieve happiness (more than 50%). The requirements of the professional standard for the training of the future teachers for critical thinking of educational specialists, the peculiarities of critical thinking of the future primary school teachers are revealed. The barriers to critical thinking of the future primary school teachers, the methods of diagnosing the peculiarities of critical thinking of the students are determined. The main reasons for the inefficient use of innovative technologies in agricultural and technical institutions of higher education have been identified. The necessary organizational conditions for the introduction of innovative technologies in the educational process during the study of foreign languages have been determined. The necessity of training foreign language teachers to work in the conditions of computerization of educational process, cooperation with teachers of general technical and special professional disciplines for coordination of working curricula and selection of didactic and methodical materials corresponding to professionally oriented subjects is proved. The essence, types, potential, properties of a pedagogical metaphor as an effective means of forming the professional and personal qualities of a future elementary-school teacher, its multifunctionality in the process of professional training are solved. The effectiveness of the method of using a pedagogical metaphor in the form of a piece of art (a philosophical tale, parable, story, poetic work, myth, popular expressions of famous people, maxims, paintings, etc.) is proved. Substantiation of the concepts «technology», «practice-oriented technologies», «professional culture of a specialist in the information and documentation industry» are presented. Through clarifying the essence of the concept of «learning technology», defining its structure, the expediency of using practice-oriented technologies as the most appropriate tool of the educational process, which results in the skilful application of acquired knowledge and skills in practice. It is noted that the use of practice-oriented technologies in the training of competitive specialists in the information and documentation industry contributes to a clearer and more regulated influence (both on the part of the teacher and the student) on all stages of the learning process: from providing students with knowledge, skills and abilities – to control of their absorption.
