Active development and personal stimulation of hyperactive students with the help of common work of their parents and teaching staff (partnership with a family) have been emphasized. The research has focused on the levels of parents’ involvement in partnership with the educational institution in the process of education and upbringing of hyperactive students: awareness and participation in school activities. The system of partnership between family and school in education and upbringing of hyperactive students as the purposeful influence of the school and social environment on each other, which promotes mutual enrichment, strengthening of educational potential of interacting systems, has been revealed. It has been defined that one of the main factors which help to engage parents in teaching hyperactive students is informing them about their children’s achievements. {"title":"Political Persecution and Repression of Teachers of the Ukrainian SSR in the 1920 – 1930s","authors":"Mykola Bryvko","doi":"10.12958/2227-2747-2021-2(177)-56-74","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12958/2227-2747-2021-2(177)-56-74","url":null,"abstract":"The research exposes the essence of political repressions of teachers as an important socio-professional group of society. It is based on the study of archival and criminal cases and other documentary sources of the Soviet totalitarian regime of the 1920 – 1930s. The analysed sources allowed proving the absurdity and criminality of the Soviet government in relation to the repressed educators, and they also helped to reveal the substantive features of the accusations, which varied at different times. In the 1920s, it was mainly connected with military service and the so-called «tsarist» or «bourgeois» education. Over time, the emphasis was shifted to non-proletarian social origins or nationalism. However, in the 1930s there was an expansion of accusations, in particular of Trotskyism, which from the mid-1930s was sometimes fused with Ukrainian or Polish nationalism. The article describes the main methods of political repressions. In particular, it is a method of creating non-existent «counter-revolutionary organizations» and a method of demonstrative trials, which were clearly displaying to society the «inevitability» of the struggle against «enemies of the people». In addition, more lenient methods of repression, such as the method of «cleansing» depending on social origin, political persecution and pressure through the media, and pedagogical certification of teachers, have been identified. Taking into account the points of personally oriented and axiological methodological approaches, the motivation and value component of the individual style of professional activity of future teachers has been defined, as well as the role of goal-setting and motivation for success in the process of its development. The content and functional aspects of case technologies in training future teachers have been disclosed. The types of pedagogical cases and requirements for selection of the cases aimed at the realisation of tasks of forming the motivation and value attitude of future teachers to the individual style of professional activity have been disclosed as well. The content analysis of educational and professional curricula and working plans of educational disciplines for prospective foreign language teachers is carried out; a number of disciplines of the general training cycle are analyzed in the context of their influence on linguistic-and-methodological competence development in prospective foreign language teachers. Potential opportunities of the cycle of professional and practical training for linguistic-and-methodological competence development, as well as their interaction on the basis of cross-curricular relations, are revealed. The features of the process of prospective foreign language teachers training, according to the character of the disciplines, practice/training, forms and methods of cooperation with prospective foreign language teachers in the course of their training are found out. The arguments are based on the results of analysing university sites in the context of training philology students, and a survey of the students about the interdependence of learning foreign languages and choosing their future professional activity. Contradictions of university education have been highlighted. These can be caused by the changes of higher education. The contradictions can be overcome by actualizing an integrative approach as a methodological basis of the effective formation of the students’ foreign language competence as a result of studying at a technical university. The traditional educational curriculum is gradually acquiring some innovative features with the focus on the world educational standards. The competition for applicants has been growing among universities, but the competitiveness of school-leavers does not often correspond to the needs of the labour market. The essence of the key concept of „a coach-teacher” has been revealed. The analysis of the scientific and pedagogical sources concerning the phenomenon under study has been made. This has allowed stating that training coach-teachers is the goal of the sports and teachers’ training education and the undeniable task of the faculties and institutes of physical education and sports. The specifics of training a coach-teacher in higher education institutions have been revealed. These consist in the fact that before entering a higher education institution such young students have a number of pre-vocational trainings, unlike their peers who choose other professions. The basis of the activity of a coach-teacher has been outlined, which consists of a number of abilities, the most important being the pedagogical ones. The combination of professional theoretical and practical skills and personal abilities determine a modern specialist of physical education and sports. The concept of training a future coach-teacher in higher education institutions has been analyzed, the features of the sports and pedagogical education have been characterised and specified. First, in the process of professional training of such a specialist the combination of the sports and teachers’ training education is provided. Secondly, a component of the qualification of a coach-teacher is the psychological and pedagogical training, the result of which is the corresponding competences and personal qualities. The stages of the social and psychological adaptation aimed at reducing stress, effectively overcoming the post-traumatic feelings and problems, particularly the initial stage, the stage of patience, the adjusting stage and the stage of total adaptation have been demonstrated. The main forms and methods of the social and psychological adaptation have also been described. A set of measures to provide psychological first aid to all categories of students in order to reduce the initial distress caused by traumatic events has been developed with the aim of the social and psychological adaptation of students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The article has been revealed the role of universities in territorial communities in the global context, the importance of implementing social responsibility by higher education institutions. This is especially relevant due to the European integration processes and the fact that Ukraine was given the status of a candidate for accession to the EU. The most common types of activities that are influenced by stakeholders in the procedures for ensuring the quality of educational activities and the quality of higher education have been outlined. The barriers to stakeholder development in Ukraine and ways to solve them have been identified. The author has identified perspective directions of interaction between higher education institutions and stakeholders for the formation of positive changes in the system of practice-oriented education, based on new requirements for higher education institutions that go beyond the main tasks of teaching and research, in particular in terms of European integration.
