Local communities depend on fishing activities, agriculture, small businesses, and cottage industry products as their economic resources. Sebuyau can be highlighted as one of the potential tourist attractions in Samarahan District through boat rentals to tourists for fishing and river cruise activities. Boat rental for fishing and river cruise activities is a community-based tourism (CBT) product that provides opportunities for boat operators or fishermen to engage in social entrepreneurship by using their existing boats. It is an approach to diversifying their sources of income with a lower impact on natural resources. However, to ensure a sustainable transformation, the local community needs to be given exposure, knowledge, and guidance to shift the activities of ordinary fishermen or individual boat owners to boat operators who are able to generate income from boat rental activities. Therefore, higher education institutions need to take proactive roles to assist local communities in ensuring this transformation is achievable. This article discusses the role of the higher education institution in developing entrepreneurial skills among boat operators in Sebuyau. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the impact of physical abuse and sexual predators on food rider job stress, the moderating of social support, real-time feedback usage, and employee engagement. A quantitative study was conducted with 263 respondents consisting of employees who had experience dealing with physical abuse and sexual predators in Klang Valley, Malaysia. SPSS and AMOS were used for empirical analysis to investigate the relationship. The results show that physical abuse and sexual predators were negatively related to employees’ job stress and confirm that social support moderates the relationship between physical abuse and job stress. In addition, social support also moderates the relationship between physical abuse and employees’ job stress. In addition, social support also moderates the relationship between sexual predators and employees’ job stress. The study succeeded in supporting the relationship between employee job stress and real-time employee feedback. In addition, the results suggest positive support for the relationship between real-time feedback and employee engagement. As the majority population of Malaysia are Muslims, who are also major consumers of halal food, they are expected to have a deeper understanding of the concept compared to other ethnic groups. Despite the majority being Muslim, many foods are still not prepared according to halal regulations, and there are abundant issues with abuse of halal certification and labelling. This study aims to investigate the awareness of halal food among Muslim consumers. The study examines the impact of variables such as halal logo labelling and packaging, exposure to regulatory authorities and enforcement, and consumer attitudes by using a questionnaire distributed to respondents in Northern Malaysia. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was utilized for data analysis, and multiple regressions were conducted to test the hypothesis. The results of the study indicate mixed results in relation to the tested relationship between the variables. It has given a tremendous impact to the health sector as well as the business sector. In Malaysia, SMEs were most badly impacted by the pandemic, where more than 32,000 SMEs had to close their operations. Besides, COVID-19 also had dramatically slowed national growth to -6% by 2020. Thus, the objective of this study is to present a bibliometric analysis of publications from the Scopus database on the survival of SMEs to cope with the impact of economic crisis due to COVID-19. A bibliometric approach has been employed in this study to analyze the published studies on the survival of SMEs from 1998 to 2023. The journal articles are acquired from Scopus’ website. This study has collected and examined 201 relevant articles. This study has discovered the trend of publication from 1998 to 2023. Besides, this study illustrates that Sustainability Switzerland was the top journal with a total of 10 publications and South Africa was the highest producers of publications with 28 publications. Besides, the most cited articles are Naidoo V. (2010) with a total of 285 citations. Co-citation analysis of cited sources, co-occurrence of authors’ keywords and Network analysis of co-authorship countries were analyzed using VOSviewer. The study's findings could assist the policymakers in making suitable initiatives to improve SME’s sustainability in Malaysia. The study leading to the production of this paper found that HRM and WLB have a significant correlation. To mitigate the effects of COVID-19, the Malaysian government imposed the Movement Control Order (MCO). Borders were closed, commercial activity ceased, and all academic institutions were closed. Students need to undergo online home learning, which causes difficulties, especially students from B40 groups. Concerned with the problems faced by UiTM Cawangan Perlis students, especially those from low-income families, the Unit Zakat, Sedekah & Wakaf (ZAWAF) has offered financial assistance in the form of zakat. However, the zakat distribution process is time-consuming. Therefore, this study aims to build a new zakat distribution model based on a Supervised Machine Learning model. The results show that parents’ income and household size significantly contributed to the success of students receiving zakat assistance. The results of this study suggest that developing a creative approach could help to streamline routine processes. Implementing home teaching and learning (PdPR) entailed additional costs, such as purchasing internet access, which increased the financial burden on parents. Therefore, Unit Zakat, Sedekah, & Wakaf (ZAWAF) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Perlis is responsible for providing immediate financial assistance to UiTM staff and students. ZAWAF has taken proactive action by introducing an online zakat assistance application in March 2020 as an alternative to traditional face-to-face interviews during the pandemic. However, receiving a large number of applications and numerous reasons why students apply for zakat assistance to be processed urgently has affected ZAWAF during the zakat evaluation process. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method has been used to assist ZAWAF in classifying which zakat applicants are eligible to receive zakat assistance immediately and ranking the important factors. The results revealed that the less capable family had been the most important factor, having the highest judgment and getting the highest average ranking from the three experts interviewed by Zawaf. The AHP method can be used to determine the other factors that contribute to the eligibility of students to receive zakat assistance and can help ZAWAF speed up the process of distributing zakat assistance to eligible zakat recipients. This study was conducted to evaluate the response of the people in the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia to the ability to perform Umrah worship during the Covid-19 endemic phase. The main focus of the study involves the people of two states in the north of Malaysia, Kedah and Perlis. The quantitative research methodology was used where 1093 responses were collected from both states. The study population is 2 million Muslims. This study is important to evaluate the tendency of the people in both states on their intention to perform Umrah and Hajj as the situation improves. It was found that the response from the people of both states was very good and very positive.
