Abstract
The world's covid-19 pandemic has affected many things including social and economic activities. Many boundaries of the country have to be closed in response to the spread of this dangerous outbreak. For Muslims, one of the main effects is the obstacle to performing Umrah and Hajj where Saudi Arabia is among the countries that close their country's borders from the influx of pilgrims and pilgrims. However, after many countries began to show a decline in the outbreak of the outbreak either through the vaccination and various other efforts, Saudi Arabia has begun to open their country's borders for other countries to perform the pilgrimage and umrah. This study was conducted to evaluate the response of the people in the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia to the ability to perform Umrah worship during the Covid-19 endemic phase. The main focus of the study involves the people of two states in the north of Malaysia, Kedah and Perlis. The quantitative research methodology was used where 1093 responses were collected from both states. The study population is 2 million Muslims. This study is important to evaluate the tendency of the people in both states on their intention to perform Umrah and Hajj as the situation improves. It was found that the response from the people of both states was very good and very positive. They show strong interest and willingness to perform Umrah worship such as previous years.
