Because MLI has a number of intrinsic advantages more than two-level inverters, including good-quality output, reduced switch ratings, less total harmonic distortion(THD),higher efficiency and more. While traditional topologies remain useful in many areas, innovative multilevel topologies are gaining popularity as a means of lowering the power semiconductor switches, isolated DC sources and/or gate drivers. In this paper, we give a complete assessment of seventeen levels of proposed novel multilevel inverter (MLIs) topology, using MATLAB/SIMULINK; simulations of the suggested topologies were carried out.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"373 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131850688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper a bi-directional DC/DC converter (BDC) for battery charging applications is presented. The converter configuration has provided a way to charge between the batteries of two different energy storage systems (ESS). In this work a non-isolated bi-directional DC/DC converter is designed which possess high efficiency with respect to the isolated topology of bidirectional DC/DC converter. The controlling techniques discussed in this paper is used to charge the battery in the bidirectional fashion for which the BDC is employed. MATLAB/Simulink platform is used to perform the simulations. The simulation end results ensures the implementation of bi-directional charging of the batteries.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114795890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even with the advancement of PWM control techniques, the look-up-table based DPC presents a good substitute when a low computational load is the criteria for the system design. By using an appropriate switching table matching to the demand and eliminating the error due to control delay, the DCMST provides good steady-state performance at low computation complexity. However, as the two-level converter has a limited set of voltage vectors, the sampling frequency must be higher to ensure adequate accuracy and grid power quality. Hence this work proposes the use of multiple switching vectors in the same control period by designating one fragment of the control period for one switching vector and rest time for a zero vector to achieve improved steady-state behavior. It presents the user with a highly accurate control for an ac-dc converter at a low computational burden. The duration of the application is estimated using the power error minimization method. The performance of the proposed duty regulated DCMST-DPC is presented and compared to that of the traditional DCMST-DPC using extensive simulation study in MATLAB/Simulink.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125928849","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Counter rotating vertical axis wind turbine is relatively simple in design and has better aerodynamic performance compared to conventional VAWT. This paper computationally investigates the performance of counter rotating and conventional H-type vertical axis wind turbine. Comparative analysis at various tip speed ratios (TSR) indicates, that at optimum TSR, the power output of the counter rotating wind turbine is about 25% greater than H-type VAWT of same size. This enhancement can be attributed to the reduction in tip vortex shedding and energization of downstream flow.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127792188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To reduce the impact of faults in the grid and to ensure transient stability, faults must be cleared within the critical clearing time. For this purpose a rapid response of the protection system is required in order to clear the faults in the system. The dynamic simulation is carried out to examine transient stability aspects based on terminal voltage, machine rotor angle, and output electrical power, with application of different types of faults. The paper provides a case study by considering actual Mumbai grid with equivalents of neighbouring system provides glimpse into various aspects of studies to determine critical clearing time of large power grids using PSS/E software.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127515746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The particular design is a developed model of permanent magnet (PM) assisted synchronous reluctance Motor. Ferrite magnet (FM) is a low cost material, that’s why it will decrease the production cost. The main motivation towards the work is to reduce the manufacturing cost of the rotor without compromising the performance of this particular motor by replacing permanent magnets (PM) with ferrite magnets (FM). The design is verified using standard finite element method (FEM) packages.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121562289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wind energy is highly valuable and accurate forecasts can help determine the best locations to set up windmills. Using a dataset comprising wind speeds from 15 years (2000–2014) within two locations of Rajasthan, namely Jaipur and Jaisalmer, we present a detailed statistical analysis including distribution analysis and forecasting using Moving Average (MA), Auto-Regressive (AR), Auto-Regressive Moving Average (ARMA), Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Seasonal Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA). We show empirically why SARIMA is the best model and why the former four models are inadequate when it comes to forecasting wind speeds.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"393 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133817643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This encrypted image will be able to transmit through the network securely, and the authorized receiver can take out the hidden details along with the restoration of the actual image. This paper proposes a new RDTE scheme with a good rate of embedding without any issues during the restoration of the original image. We have used the well-known RC4 pseudo-random generator for the image encryption, and we performed data hiding during block-wise image encryption. In the proposed scheme, the original image is considered as non-overlapping blocks of size B × B pixels, and these blocks will be encrypted using a sequence of pseudo-random integers. During the RDTE process, all the possible unique permutations of the encryption key, K, will be generated, say (K0, K1,…, KN). Further, the sender will be capable of embedding one integer value from the set {0, 1,…, N} in a selected image block. A selected block will be encrypted using the pseudo-random sequence of integers using the key KQ to embed the integer Q in the selected block. The proposed scheme prefers to select keys with unique characters with sufficient length to ensure the maximum embedding capacity. The message extraction and image restoration are performed by analyzing the entropy measure from each block after attempting the decryption.","PeriodicalId":168114,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Energy, Power and Environment (ICEPE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116501447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Finally, features are classified using meta classifiers that use random subspace classifiers and random committee classifiers. The accuracy and performance of other limitations are going to compare. A prototype model will develop that allows for accurate fault classification in a short period. This research work is unique because it employs meta-classifiers like Random Subspace and Random Committee Classifier to categorize wind turbine blades using vibration data quickly.
