Abstract

Multilevel inverters (MLIs) are now becoming more prominent in high and medium voltage applications. Because MLI has a number of intrinsic advantages more than two-level inverters, including good-quality output, reduced switch ratings, less total harmonic distortion(THD),higher efficiency and more. While traditional topologies remain useful in many areas, innovative multilevel topologies are gaining popularity as a means of lowering the power semiconductor switches, isolated DC sources and/or gate drivers. In this paper, we give a complete assessment of seventeen levels of proposed novel multilevel inverter (MLIs) topology, using MATLAB/SIMULINK; simulations of the suggested topologies were carried out.
