Traditional methods augment natural images mainly by projecting virtual models, putting texts, audio and videos on the images. In this paper, we introduce image composition and image special effects into applications of augmented reality, and proposed an augmented reality method with image composition and image special effects. In this method, 3d-tracking of a camera is obtained first, then a template image is augmented by applying image composition, image special effects and 3d virtual model projection independently or jointly. Our method is implemented and validated by experiments. It extends and enriches the forms and applications of augmented reality.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126361577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, on the basis of the exiting marker-based tracking system, this paper achieved the multi-marker tracking that solved the tracking failure problem when the single marker is partially occluded, which greatly improves the robustness of the registration algorithm. In addition, Codebook-based foreground detection model is used to detect the hand region under an unexpected background environment. Moreover, we could recognize the hand gesture by convex hull on the basis of the hand contour. Therefore, a gesture recognition algorithm is presented based on codebook model algorithm and convex hull algorithm for the interaction. In the end, we use several different experiments to show the performance, which can be seen the good interactivity and realistic.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126566269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Monitoring and mapping vegetation patches are essential for studying its succession mechanism. This study is aimed at comparing the differences between SPOT-5, ALOS and ZY-3 imagery and then showing the potential of them in recognizing vegetation patches. In this study, we deal with the three kinds of images with the method of object-oriented classification so as to extract circular or elliptical vegetation community patches of the two study areas. The results show that SPOT-5 imagery is of the highest segmentation accuracy, followed by ZY-3, and then ALOS. Then detailed analysis is carried out from four perspectives, which are statistical results of bands, NDVI distribution, image information entropy and sharpness and the conclusion is that the segmentation accuracy of each image is related to its NDVI distribution and articulation. Besides, ZY-3 imagery has the most balanced wave energy, the highest grey level and the richest information of the three. With good display effect and low price, ZY-3 imagery will be of great application potential in the field of remote sensing of vegetation.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128120005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Zigzag scanning is applied to convert the 2-D alternating current (AC) coefficients into a 1-D data stream in an energy decreasing way, but it cannot reflect the particularity for every image blocks. In this paper, we design six scanning templates (including zigzag scanning template), which are depending on the directional texture information of image, so we call it directionality-based modified coefficient scanning method. In the experiment, five categories of images with different directional texture information are trained to design scanning template. Then we apply the six templates to each 8×8 block and each block will choose one template which makes its code stream shortest. Experiment results show that the method in this paper achieves better coding efficiency obviously than not only the zigzag scanning method but also the context-based modified zigzag scanning method adopted in JPEG.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115917091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These diseases may cause the shape change of the vasculature. Due to the inhomogeneous of the retina image, it's very difficult to use region static information to get the result. We use a new level set method based on local region cluster information which proves to be well performed the inhomogeneous of the retina image. Experiment shows that our method is more robust to the initial contour C. In the experiment, our method can get a desirable segmentation result in the segmentation of retina images.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132359927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper focuses on the problem of efficiently performing hierarchical segmentation and improving the segmentation precision. We first apply multiscale normalized cut to image pre-segmentation step to replace Voronoi algorithm or watershed transformation. In addition, an improved ultrametric measure method is introduced and employed to merger regions. Finally, the hierarchical segmentation results are obtained and one can get the best segmentation result by using threshold. Experimental results show that the proposed method is able to provide accurate segmentation result with high computational efficiency.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"178 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132411343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Existing calibration methods of structured light systems are either not precise or elastic. In this paper, an easy to use method is proposed. The calibration of a structured light system can accomplished with a good accuracy. The projector projects a checkerboard pattern rendered by OpenGL functions onto a planar board, and the coordinates of corner points in the projector image plane are adjusted to the target position with an iterative algorithm. Thus, the projector can \"view\" the printed chessboard pattern. The calibration of a projector becomes essentially the same as that of a monocular camera. Meanwhile, the projector calibration doesn't depend on a pre-calibrated camera, which makes errors of the camera calibration cannot effect the projector calibration. Experimental results show that the mean re-projection error of the projector is less than 1 pixel.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134347280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several methods have been proposed in the past decades. Here we will present a new supervised method for retinal vessel segmentation. The method is designed to explore the complex relationship between retinal images and their corresponding vessel label maps. Specifically, in order to build a model describing the direct transformation from retinal image to vessel map, we introduce a deep convolutional neural network (abbreviation as CNN), which has strong enough induction ability. For the purpose of constructing the whole vessel probability map, we also design a synthesis method. Our method shows better performance on DRIVE dataset than state-of-the-art of reported approaches in the light of sensitivity (abbreviation as Se), specificity (abbreviation as Sp) and accuracy (abbreviation as Acc). Our proposed method has great potential to be applied in existing computer-assisted diagnostic system of ophthalmologic diseases. Meanwhile, the method may offer a novel, general computing framework for segmentation in other fields.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"601 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133337880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
