Fully development and usage of large amounts of stability-known slope experience undoubtedly have important practical significance. Therefore, based on the usage of previous open-pit mine slope engineering cases, this paper proposes an intelligent slope stability evaluation system based on case-based reasoning. The system uses frame to represent store cases, uses analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of case attribute, uses similarity calculation method based on Euclidean distance to retrieve case in order to get the result, and finally analyzes the results or reforms the case base if problems exist. Through experimental analysis, this paper proves the validity and feasibility of the system.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"319 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115870126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the degradation of decoded images in fractal coding mainly comes from the poor self-similarity of the input image, a modified image that satisfies good self-similarity and approximates the original image well is constructed. After transforming the input image into the modified image and performing fractal coding method on it, the decoded image with higher quality can be obtained. Simulations show that compared with the conventional fractal coding method, while the same compression ratio is maintained, the proposed method can provide higher PSNR at the expense of slightly longer encoding time.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114865747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In tensor algebra, CANDECOMP/PARAFAC decomposition (CPD) is a popular tool which has been successfully applied for the HSI data processing. However, on the one hand, CPD requires large memory for temporal variables. As a result, the memory usually overflows during the process for a real HSI whose size is large. On the other hand, so far no finite algorithm can well-determine the rank of the tensor to be decomposed. An inappropriate number of the rank may over-fit/under-fit the information provided by the tensor. To deal with these problems, this paper proposes an improved CPD with spectral and spatial partitioning for the HSI anomaly detection. First, the original HSI is divided into a set of smaller-sized sub-tensors. Second, CPD is applied onto each sub-tensor. Then, an anomaly detection algorithm is implemented and the detection results are fused along the spectral direction. Experiments with a real HSI data set reveals that the proposed method outperforms the CPD with no partition and the traditional RX anomaly detector with better detection performance.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117071905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main motive of this work is to explore the signal sparse property that is proven to be advantageous if it is properly utilized. To that end, first, a transformation domain, namely frequency domain, is constructed in which multiple sinusoids have a sparse representation. Second, the data missing problem is reformulated in a way that is represented by a sparse vector containing only zeros and ones. Third, thanks to the exciting finding of the nearly-sparse property of the impulsive noise in the time domain, the noise reduction can be designed as well to explore its sparsity to cancel the noise. By utilizing the sparsity from the frequency, missing pattern and impulsive noise, a joint estimation approach is designed that allows simultaneously to perform frequency and missing pattern estimation under the impulsive noise. Numerical studies demonstrate that joint estimate offers robust and consistent results compared to non-joint estimate (without noise reduction).","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"168 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123507816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, in the preprocessing, threshold segmentation, geometric operations and gray interpolation are carried out to pick-up the target normal direction of LCD areas. Then, the real Gabor filters are designed through selecting appropriate filtering scale and orientation, detection results show that the structurally textural backgrounds are removed. In this paper we propose a novel framework of semi-supervised human-robot interactive image recognition. In our framework, the user first presents unlabeled images to a humanoid robot for recognition; then the robot answers the user what the image is based on a semi-supervised learning algorithm; thirdly if the robot's answer is wrong, the user correct the robot with the right label. With the learning process going on, the robot is trained to recognize more and more images with different semantic labels. The ability of \"learning image semantics\" makes the user feel that the robot is more like an \"intelligent life\". Extensive experiments and comparisons have proved the efficiency of our framework with encouraging results.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116999776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
