The hardware of the measurement system includes light source, lens, camera and computer, the measurement system adopts transmitted illumination to highlight the contour feature of mechanical parts. Preprocessing is firstly performed to the captured image by the software of the measurement system, then threshold segmentation and the edge contour extraction are conducted; finally, in order to improve the detection precision of the geometric elements, a method to locate the center of circles accurately is adopted, which based on Hough transform algorithm. The results show the validity of the method and the feasibility of the algorithm in the system, it improves the efficiency of the measurement system and realizes the non-contact online measurement of mechanical parts.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128094592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The segmented fitting method of track was adopted to extract the crossing points dataset from the HY-2 geophysical data records (GDR). According to the Taylor expansion, 36 parametric models of estimating SSB as the function of the significant wave height and wind speed were established, and then the coefficients of each parametric model can be calculated by the method of linear regression. After evaluation and selection, the optimal model was obtained. The efficiency of this model can be verified by explained variance, determination coefficient and residual. By comparing with the original SSB estimated model used in the HY-2 GDR, the model formulated in this paper was better than the latter. The results showed this model can improve the correction of SSB in the HY-2 altimeter effectively.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134227606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of the gray difference existing in multi-sensor image pairs, the registration problem of multi-sensor image is much difficult than that of single-sensor images. The existing STAR algorithm is appropriate for affine multi-sensor images, but is only applicable to images containing plenty of line segment features, because it is based on the extraction of line segments. Considering that the contour feature is more common than line segment feature in images, an enhanced STAR algorithm, called ESTAR, is presented according to contour extraction to overcome the limitation of the STAR algorithm in this paper.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133403287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While ordinary panoramic roaming has the problem of visual disconnection on switching scene. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a WebGL-based virtual roaming method which can seamlessly connect video to panoramic view. Firstly, we convert the video initial position's texture coordinates to angle values, and compute turning degree according to the actual click position in the scene, and then, camera view roams to video's initial position. Secondly, the display content switches to the video player smoothly. During the video is playing, the camera view rotates to the video's end position. Finally, the content switches back to the panoramas after the video is over, and we make sure that the end video frame matches with the current perspective view. Experiments show that this method has fluency and a strong sense of reality. It's better to meet the requirements of virtual home roaming.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131831790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most large-scale image retrieval systems are based on the Bag of Words (BoW) or its variant. For current visual search algorithms which are under the structure of BoW, there are two critical issues should be solved: the quantified visual words may reduce the discriminative power of the local features and the neglect of spatial relationship among local features. To address the problems, we propose a novel method based on saliency and local quadrant constraint. First, we introduce the saliency weights into the quantization stage of BoW. We utilize the image saliency to do inverse document (IDF) weighting. And while generating the histogram expression of image, we count the saliency of features instead of simply counting the number of features. Second, the saliency and the similarity characteristic of deformations in local areas are introduced into our model in the post-processing step to satisfy the constraint in spatial relationship among local features. The operation evaluates the weights of matching features by the saliency of query and candidate images, finds near neighbors of the matching features by a threshold and then estimates whether all the matching features in the local regions follow consistent geometric transformation or not. We evaluate the geometric transformation by the relative quadrant of the matching neighbors to center feature (Local Quadrant Constraint, LQC). Experiments show that the proposed method achieves promising improvement while comparing to other visual search methods. Our methods are well complementary to current visual search methods and give a new idea in modeling the spatial information of image.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132129634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigated a face recognition method based on deep neural network. The sparse coding neural network and the softmax classifiers were used in this paper to build and train the deep hierarchical network after the face image preprocessing. The method is evaluated on the ORL, Yale, Yale-B and PERET face database, respectively. Firstly, according to a statistical histogram, an interesting region is extracted. Through a mean algorithm, an initial background model is established. The interesting region is divided into several blocks by a self-adaptive method. Secondly, according to an improved interframe difference algorithm, the interesting region is separated roughly. On the basis of these steps, we utilize an improved Gaussian model to separate the rough results precisely. At last, the results are processed by double-threshold background subtracting. Experimental results show this algorithm can detect moving vehicles rapidly and accurately.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127692564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Vessel landmarks detection in retinal image is the vital step in the retinal image registration. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed, firstly, a deep learning technology is used to vessel segmentation to generate the probability map of the retinal image, which is more reliable for optimizing the feature detection in retinal image. Secondly, we detect the landmarks using the multi-scale Hessian response on the probability map of the retinal image. Compared to the traditional methods, the results show that our method enable a majority of the bifurcation points, crossover points and curvature extreme points to be detected out simultaneously. Moreover, the impact of image noise and pathology can be reduced significantly.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127907422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed metric is based on the combination of two-pass edge analysis and background subtraction. The two-pass edge analysis is a blur metric we proposed in our previous work, which has gain an efficient performance in image blur assessment and other image processing applications. We apply the two-pass edge analysis to the video quality assessment in order to calculate the quality of each frame in the video. On the other hand, considering that one will pay his most attention on the foreground of the video. So we also apply the background subtraction to get the foreground of the video and only use these foreground to calculate the video quality. Experiments in the last section shows that our proposed no-reference metric has a good performance in the test sequences.","PeriodicalId":167631,"journal":{"name":"2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP)","volume":"241 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121168527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
