While organisations often deliberately try to plan change to make it more manageable, organizational realities tend to be more messy and noisy than can be effectively planned for. The findings arising from this essay suggest that middle managers play an important role in facilitating change in organizations. They also suggest that middle managers face major challenges in the organization-wide implementation and adoption of CI including possible resistance by middle management itself.There has, is and probably always will be discourse around middle management and its role in organizational change, where the debate generally evolves around whether middle management can be seen as a strategic asset for change or a blockage to change.","PeriodicalId":165213,"journal":{"name":"IOSR Journal of Business and Management","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129314071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, to create customer satisfaction, a hospital should be able to improve its service quality. Therefore, dimensions of service quality as determinants of customer satisfaction for establishment of patient loyalty need to consider. The previous researches have confirmed that service quality creates patient loyalty with and without mediation of customer satisfaction. There many previous researches that investigate service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty, however, they only used multiple regression analysis or SEM. So, in this research, the researcher uses a combination of multiple regression analysis and SEM. The objectives of this research are: first, to see the impact of service quality on patient satisfaction; second, to see the impact of patient satisfaction on customer loyalty; third, to see the impact of service quality on patient loyalty. The respondents of this research are non-insurance outpatients of a private hospital in Tangerang, Indonesia by using a questioner. The data analysis methods of this research were multiple regression method for dimension of service quality toward satisfaction and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis for variable of service quality and customer satisfaction toward loyalty. The findings of this research show that: first, there is no direct impact of each dimensions of service quality on patient satisfaction, except assurance. It shows that the respondents don’t distinguish all dimensions as a separate part where one dimension is prioritized than others; second, this research also finds that there is an impact of service quality on customer satisfaction improvement; third, there is direct impact of service quality on customer loyalty without mediation of customer satisfaction. Accordingly, it can be concluded that the customer loyalty is affected by customer satisfaction and service quality.","PeriodicalId":165213,"journal":{"name":"IOSR Journal of Business and Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133737715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To highlight networks and important stakeholders, we have decided to focus on particular life’s moments of a Leban ese company in an uncertain and unstable environment. \u0000Thus, we propose an analysis of the stakeholders during the 2006 crisis by analyzing eight enterprises in order to identify the stakeholders of the socially responsible Lebanese SMEs. \u0000We have identified a trend among the interviewed managers, which is giving more importance to shareholders satisfaction, motivation, continuous training of employees and the central role of banks in the survival and development of their business. We were also able to emphasize the role of the socially responsible values of proactive managers and their ability to act durably during difficult times and in an unstable and uncertain environment. We can conclude that the Lebanese manager involved in a CSR logic manages crises better mainly by dint of certain stakeholders including employees and banks. However, there are several limitations to our research. The number of SMEs studied and the effects of the crisis in the Arab countries, for which the managers are not able to see the end, open the way for further analysis.","PeriodicalId":165213,"journal":{"name":"IOSR Journal of Business and Management","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127512690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The assessment of risk and determination of price of the asset class is primarily dependent on the volatility calculated for the class of asset. In view of obtaining precision in the process of determining the price of the option and making hedging most effective, it’s imperative to have the most appropriate method of calculating the volatility. The present study finds option implied volatility as the best performing model except in few categories of option data where VIX outperformed. Similarly on empirical performance of Black-Scholes (BS) model the present study finds that performance is not same across various maturities which indicate volatility is not constant as assumed by BS model during the tenure of the study in Indian market.","PeriodicalId":165213,"journal":{"name":"IOSR Journal of Business and Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122783603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the paper is to examine the implications of employee’s work ethics and behaviour in a developing economy such as ours and particularly at a period of unhealthy economic climate and to determine ways of increasing employees disciplinary actions against their unethical value system. The findings of this paper revealed that the employees work ethics and behaviours in organization under harsh economic climate is not quite encouraging as they tend not to be honest, fair and transparent; lack respect and responsibility, indulge in lateness to work; absenteeism, among others which would result to disharmony or industrial crisis. The paper recommends the application of goal setting theory using management by objective (MBO) tool, immediacy in administering discipline, advance warning, among others in striving to achieve situations that will satisfy the collective needs of employees and employers in business organisation.","PeriodicalId":165213,"journal":{"name":"IOSR Journal of Business and Management","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131208637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The school principal or head teacher is the head of the school and performs critical functions that dictate on the academic performance of the school. The school principals are charged with five major roles including administering the approved school curriculum, school finance and business, staff and students in the school, school plant and equipment and school community relations. The principal as the chief executive is the overall in charge of the school and is responsible for the quality of the school. S/he supervises the whole school programs and bears the ultimate responsibility for the overall school performance, proficiency and effectiveness including the competency of all school programs. The head is the secretary to the BOG, and in charge of the day-to-day activities in the school. He should understand the departmental programs and work closely with all the teachers through consultation on issues of mutual interest to the school like games and sports, other co-curricular activities and examinations. The school head should be well informed and experienced on the school system and should have an orientation to the whole school program. The school principals play the role of administrators in addition to teaching duties that they may have. In this capacity, the school principals coordinate the efforts of diverse stakeholders towards the achievement of the school educational goals. These stakeholders include the teachers, parents, students, education officials and the community surrounding the school. These stakeholders influence the academic goals of the institution in diverse ways. Amongst the stakeholder management functions or coordinating efforts that the principals undertake include professional advice to the school board, leaders of reforms, managers of resources and communicators to the public. School leadership is therefore concerned with pupils, teachers and the rules, regulations and policies that govern the school system. This study sought to examine the role of strategy execution on the performance of national schools. The cumulative effect of strategy execution metrics on the academic performance was examined using multiple linear regression analysis. The positive multiple correlation coefficient (R) indicated the cumulative effect of strategy execution is positively correlated to academic performance of national schools. There is a strong and positive correlation of 0.479 between the strategy execution and academic performance of national schools. On the other hand, the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.229 indicates that 22.9% of the variance in academic performance can be attributed to strategy execution in national schools.To examine if the multiple linear regression was a good fit for data, then the ANOVA of strategy Execution was examined.
