The objective of the paper is to examine the implications of employee’s work ethics and behaviour in a developing economy such as ours and particularly at a period of unhealthy economic climate and to determine ways of increasing employees disciplinary actions against their unethical value system. The findings of this paper revealed that the employees work ethics and behaviours in organization under harsh economic climate is not quite encouraging as they tend not to be honest, fair and transparent; lack respect and responsibility, indulge in lateness to work; absenteeism, among others which would result to disharmony or industrial crisis. Abstract
