Most Disney animated films have a target audience of children. The element of persuasion that includes every message will be one of children's character-building in real life, including how the film constitutes gender identity in children, which will affect the development of their lives. One of Disney's animated films is Encanto film which was released in 2021. The purpose of this research is to describe the moral values of the characters in Encanto film, especially observing the identity of the women depicted in this film. The research method uses a qualitative narrative approach to analyze Encanto film. This study uses Stuart Hall's representation theory and Christian Metz's Semiotic Analysis Method (MAS), or cinematographic semiotics. By the critical paradigm, this MAS is qualitatively interpretive. A method that focuses on signs and texts as objects of study and how researchers interpret and understand the code (decoding) behind the signs and texts. The study revealed the women's identity on the main character, Mirabel in the film Encanto. This identity is mainly found from the stereotypical Mirabel identity as a woman. The other marginalization, subordination, power, and workload differentiate Mirabel’s identity as a woman from men in Encanto film

Using intersectional theoretical perspectives - the narrative and cinematography elements and gender studies – this study examines how gender and religious identity are inextricably linked to portray the main character’s experiences of discrimination. The analysis begins with narrative and illustrative data showing how the main character’s background as a daughter and Muslim results in multiple layers of discrimination. Her gender and religious affiliation substantially influence the discrimination. Moreover, bias varies for men and women of different age groups. The main character experiences more discrimination as a teenage girl than her disguised character as a teenage boy. Women are significantly more likely to face gender discrimination than men, but girls are enormous. Hence, this concurrent examination of the main character’s gender and religious identity reveals that she is characterized by high rates of discrimination throughout her childhood, in a way teenage boys are not. The main character’s experience of discrimination highlights the importance of conceptualizing gender and religious identity as intersecting axes of discrimination.

Van Dijk. The objects of this research are two news stories in the media Chosun and Hankyoreh which report on the first round of the presidential debate in 2022. This study uses a qualitative method with a critical approach. The data collection techniques in this study were documentation, literature study, also reading, listening, and note-taking techniques. The results show that the Chosun and Hankyoreh media have their own tendencies in showing the image of Lee Jae-myung and Yoon Suk-yeol. In Chosun news, there is a tendency to portray the presidential candidate debate that was held on February 3, which tends to portray Lee Jae-myung as a person who is careless in answering questions, while Yoon Seok-yool as a person who is not ready to become a presidential candidate. This is seen from the data that Chosun media based on the content of propositions that explain Lee Jae-myung's weakness amounted to 6 propositions compared to Yoon Seok-yool which only amounted to 2 propositions. Meanwhile, in the Hankyoreh media, the news describing the weaknesses of Lee Jae-myung and Yoon Seok-yool amounted to two propositions. This shows that Hankyoreh is trying to convey the representation of the two candidates in a balanced way. As for the perspective of Van Dijk's discourse theory, it can be concluded that in terms of the dimensions of the microstructure text, there are several elements not found in the news, namely the semantic element - presupposition in the Hankyoreh news. Then, there are no graphic and metaphorical rhetorical elements in the two analyzed news. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000

To analyze it, the writers use the psychological approach, especially Freud’s psychoanalysis theory. The writers got the main source of the data from the play, while the supporting data, the writers got from literary books, journals of English Literature, and the internet. Data were gathered then they were examined using the descriptive-analytic techniques. The focus of the study was divided into three discussions, namely the factors behind the reasons why Eben had the Oedipus complex, what made him have a rivalry with his own father, and had a forbidden relationship with his stepmother, Abbie. The forbidden relationship between Eben and Abbie is the manifestation of Eben’s Oedipus complex and his way to break his father’s deep heart as his revenge for his mother’s death. The study found out that Eben’s Oedipus complex was influenced more by Eben’s id than his ego and superego.

The ecological damage caused by natural exploitation has reached its critical point. The damage is almost beyond repair. Thus, this study tries to scrutinize how musicians represent their concerns on ecological damage. In doing this, this research uses the theory of ecocriticism as the foundational theory in order to scrutinize the texts. Then, this study uses a qualitative-interpretative method which is commonly applied in the study of literary texts. The results show that, firstly, “Hancur” song lyric describes the current state of nature in Indonesia. It shows the neglected environment after its resources are dredged by some people. Meanwhile, “Tinggalkan Aku Terdiam” represent the disappointment and anger of nature towards irresponsible people, it utilizes the first-person point of view to represent as if the nature who leave without any restoring effort after exploiting the nature. Hence, it can be said that, this analysis of the depiction of the ecological destruction is one of the efforts to expedite the pro-environmental movement for natural preservation.
