In the process of education, especially in early childhood, the issue of threats to civilization is usually ignored, e.g. therefore, there are more and more disturbing phenomena in the lives of children and adolescents (aggression, depression, withdrawal, etc.).The assumptions of positive psychology are presented and used in this text not as a starting point for designing therapeutic activities, but for designing preventive educational processes. The text also refers to the theory of self-determination (SDT) by E. Deci and R. Ryan, and in particular to one of its sub-theories relating to human needs and motivation. The need to ensure that the child in the education process meets the three most basic human needs: competences, relations with others and autonomy - treated as necessary conditions for children's well-being and learning to cope with crises that appear \"here and now\" and in the future.","PeriodicalId":147535,"journal":{"name":"Studia z Teorii Wychowania","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127617553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The empirical basis of the text is the results of participatory research conducted in Warsaw elementary schools in 2020 on the eve of the Covid-19 pandemic. The result of the analysis is a compilation of technological solutions recommended by school actors using smartphones. In the text, we highlight the different needs that can be fulfilled using smartphones according to students and teachers. Children and adolescents link the usage of smartphones in lessons with making the learning process more attractive. Educators, on the other hand, mainly see the usage of smartphones as an opportunity to improve their working conditions. We also highlight the role of pandemics in breaking the negative image of smartphones in schools.","PeriodicalId":147535,"journal":{"name":"Studia z Teorii Wychowania","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125874790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Supporting the development of children's prosocial behaviours, focused on others, has recently been marginalized by both parents and teachers focusing more on antisocial, externalizing behaviors. The aim of the research was to assess the level of empathy and prosocial and externalizing behaviours in 398 children aged 2.5-4 years staying at home and attending nurseries/kindergartens. Statistical analyzes confirmed the existence of gender differences between the children. There is also a relationship between empathy, prosociality and positive and negative socialization of young children, as well as between the age and education of parents and the level of empathy and prosocial behaviour of children. The results were discussed in the context of practical implications.","PeriodicalId":147535,"journal":{"name":"Studia z Teorii Wychowania","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125910039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some of the assumptions appear hypocritical, where declarations of inclusion are accompanied by an exclusionary discourse. These discourses are analyzed in the light of the development of the theory of special education and in the actions of educational officials and politicians. Particular attention was paid to the Education for All project. The author points out that this project, despite valuable declarations, contains in the executive part a traditional, clinical image of person with disabilities. This document was treated as an interpretation of the assumptions of the state about what kind of person should be formed by the Polish school. The presented results are part of a research project carried out at the Department of School Education at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru in the years 2018-2021. The research consisted in analysing existing sources (core curricula) using the quantitative and qualitative approaches. This article asks the question about what vision of education emerges from the core curricula of general education. The analysis of general and specific requirements makes it possible to formulate a fundamental conclusion that the attitudes and values characteristic of a conservative vision of education, focusing on the nation/Poland and tradition, are promoted in the core curriculum of general education, and by the absence of such notions as solidarity, justice, and equality education is given an excluding direction. On the other hand, the domination of reconstructive and adaptive attitudes among the learning outcomes may lead to passivity in social life.","PeriodicalId":147535,"journal":{"name":"Studia z Teorii Wychowania","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131034299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pedagogical ideology as an ethnocultural and cultural-historical phenomenon The modern information and communication space is a powerful mechanism of impact on the formation of public opinion and pedagogical consciousness, as well as a source and repository of pedagogical ideas, and therefore, pedagogical ideologues. Pedagogical ideologies, which make up the pedagogical content of the information and communication space of the beginning of the 21st century, form a polyphonic, polyparadigmatic, personally oriented discourse aimed at \"overcoming the power\" of the idealized political discourse.Is considered by many philosophers of education as a significant component of scientific and pedagogical thinking. Almost every culture is mythologemic, as it generates sociocultural matrices of various myths, in particular social and pedagogical ones, which affect the value-meaning aspects of pedagogically directed actions, the nature and content of the pedagogical process, mental processes of its participants. At the current stage of the development of education and pedagogical thought, the concept of \"mythologeme\" becomes close to \"ideologeme\", which strengthens socio-political influences on the course and development of scientific and pedagogical thought.At the current stage of development, the history of pedagogy includes many samples of the usage of the information and communication space, presented at different periods of times by various means of mass information, as a powerful mechanism of political and ideological influence on the development of the theory and practice of education. Thus, the problem of objective evaluation of the intellectual and spiritual heritage of world pedagogy, implementation of a modern reading of this valuable experience freed from ideological distortions arises.The relevance of the research is strengthened by the necessity to create a picture of the historical-pedagogical process exempted from ideological layers, which includes all the diversity of ideas of past pedagogical ideologies. Emancipated from political contexts, historical knowledge in the field of education determines the further development of pedagogical thought and becomes a scientific, philosophical and moral imperative for the formation of a modern pedagogical ideology.","PeriodicalId":147535,"journal":{"name":"Studia z Teorii Wychowania","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115695283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It turned out that chat has the potential to generate completely new and unique scientific texts. In the wake of ChatGPT, similar tools by technology giants came and are coming. Given the above, the scientific community has only a brief moment to try to answer the following questions: whether the texts generated in this way have real scientific value, whether it is ethical for researchers to use them, how to regulate copyright on the use of AI, what are the potential capabilities of artificial intelligence for writing scientific papers. Each of the eight thematic modules (decision making, coping with anger and aggressiveness, conflict resolution, stress management, self-esteem and self-awareness, collaboration and teamwork skills, empathy, communication skills) included in the online educational training was evaluated. Students demonstrated high satisfaction with the tool; however, there were differences between modules (Self-esteem and Stress management were the most appreciated, Communication the least). The students assessment was influenced by age, gender and national differences, while the teachers evaluation of usefulness and sustainability was influenced by nationality. Digitally-supported school-based programs can promote well-being among adolescents; however, the interventions need to address differences between boys, girls and nationalities in order to be effective. Teachers, as an immanent part of school life, should be engaged in promoting health programs.","PeriodicalId":147535,"journal":{"name":"Studia z Teorii Wychowania","volume":"10 29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115722912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
