Conventional two-dimension chaotic sequence is not a good way to two-dimension gray histogram image segmentation because it is proportional distributing in [0,1] times [0,1]. In order to generate a better chaotic sequence that is fit to two- dimension gray histogram. A chaotic sequence generating method is proposed based on Arnold chaotic system and Bezier curve generating algorithm. The main feature of the new chaotic sequence is that its distribution is approximately inside a disc whose center is (0.5,0.5), this means that the sequence is superior to Arnold chaotic sequences in image segmenting. As application, a two-dimension maximum entropy image segmentation method is presented based on chaotic optimization. Sometimes people immerse into the game environment so strongly that they forget their actual physical surroundings. In this paper, we introduce a physical running fitness system in the networked virtual environment-VE, which aims at making the exercise session more motivating and rich in experiences. We present a body-driven virtual human animation method, which can make the virtual human more lifelike and can improve the interactive sense of exercise. The networked physical running fitness system is a combination of an ellipse machine, a computer and a screen. Existing collaborative filtering methods, mainly user-based and item-based methods, predict new ratings by aggregating rating information from either similar users or items. However, a large amount of ratings of similar items or similar users may be unavailable because of the sparse characteristic inherent to the rating data. For this reason, we present a Hybrid Predictive Algorithm with Smoothing (HSPA). HSPA uses item-based methods to provide the basis for data smoothing and builds the predictive model based on both users' aspects and items' aspects in order to ensure robust to data sparsity and predictive accuracy. Moreover, HSPA utilizes the user clusters to achieve high scalability. Whatever the suffix automaton or the forward finite state automaton is running, the window shifts m-R characters and then the suffix automaton starts running if no pattern prefix is found (R is zero) in the first algorithm or R is not greater than half of m in the second algorithm, otherwise, the forward finite state automaton starts running. Their time complexities are all O(n) in the worst case and O(n/m) in the best case. The recognition of cognitive distance is fundamental in human intelligent computation, particularly in commonsense knowledge engineering. The cognitive distance is dialectically used for measuring the similarities between cognized geographic objects. Traditionally, physical or Euclidean distances are used very often. However, many inconsistencies between cognitive distance and physical distance are practically found. As a matter of a fact, the physical distance is mostly overestimated or underestimated in the process of human spatial cognition and spatial behaviors. This paper is intended to illustrate the cognitive distance and its distortions in a conceptual and computational way. Some innovative arguments are made. That is, the cognitive distance could be two-dimensional, exist in heterogeneous space, and hold the property of quasi-metric. Alternatively, the cognitive distance could be multi-dimensional, exist in homogeneous space, and hold the property of metric. Operator transmits instruction to remote controller through making use of WLAN to build up high speed, broad band correspondence network. The collaborative work mechanism based on STEP is presented. According to AP203, the rules mapping EXPRESS into XML under OSEB is then described. In this paper, we present an algorithm to create normal subdivision triangulations approximating implicit surfaces. Our algorithm begins from a coarse base mesh created by a space-division based polygonization method for implicit surface, and the base mesh is then optimized by Laplacian smoothing operator. Subsequently, the faces of the base mesh are subdivided iteratively and the newly created vertices are located on the implicit surface along a certain direction, which depends on the normals of vertices of the faces. Finally, we obtain a piecewise-linear approximation of the surface, which is a normal mesh with subdivision connectivity and provides a multi-resolution description of the implicit surface naturally.
