Our scheme improves system performance and minimizes retransmission sizes by only retransmitting those bits which are likely to be in error. We simulate RB-SR-HARQ protocol on low density parity check codes both over AWGN and Rayleigh flat-fading channel. At the same time, we also compare our proposed RB-SR-HARQ protocol with IR (incremental redundancy) HARQ protocol on LDPC codes. The results show that our proposed scheme achieves a lower BER than other schemes both over A WGN and Rayleigh flat-fading channel.","PeriodicalId":133842,"journal":{"name":"16th International Conference on Artificial Reality and Telexistence--Workshops (ICAT'06)","volume":"197 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124412505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is based on a combination of the two well-known methods: least square reproducing kernel (LSRK) and partition of unity (PoU). The input point datasets are broken into many subdomains with an error-controlled octree subdivision method, which adapts to variations in the complexity of the model. A local least square reproducing kernel function is constructed at each octree leaf cell. Finally, we blend these local shape functions together using weighting functions. Due to the separation of local approximation and local blending, the representation is not global and can be created and evaluated rapidly. Numerical experiments demonstrate robust and efficient performance of the proposed methods in processing a great variety of 2D and 3D reconstruction problems.","PeriodicalId":133842,"journal":{"name":"16th International Conference on Artificial Reality and Telexistence--Workshops (ICAT'06)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115549047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The interacting multiple model (IMM) algorithm is specially designed to track accurately targets, and the particle filter is aim to deal with nonlinear/non-Gaussian problems. But the problem of a particle filter is its expensive computation, especially when it is introduced into the IMM algorithm. Here, the multirate technique is to solve this problem and not making the performance of the algorithm bad. To realize the efficient rendering of terrain, this paper presents an out-of-core terrain visualization method based on multi-resolution storage techniques. In external memory, the terrain data set is subdivided from top to bottom to build a multi-resolution hierarchical structure based on a quad-tree. The hierarchical structure can decimate the elevation data that must be loaded into internal memory. Thus it can improve the efficiency of I/O access greatly. Moreover, in order to implement rapid data retrieval of the real time terrain flyover, an efficient indexing algorithm is proposed, in which those nodes in the hierarchical structure will be divided into several clusters in terms of the similarities of static error and the closed space constraint. In addition, a method for crack-free is also proposed here. The comprehensive experiment conducted on the GTOP30 data set shows that this approach outperforms the Block and the Hierarchy algorithms in the both ways of efficiency and simplification ratio.","PeriodicalId":133842,"journal":{"name":"16th International Conference on Artificial Reality and Telexistence--Workshops (ICAT'06)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120946612","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the relationships between faults and fault symptoms are too complex to get enough accuracy for industry application. In this paper, a new diagnosis method based on fuzzy neural network is proposed and a fuzzy neural network system is structured by associating fuzzy set theory with neural network technology. Especially, an effective fuzzy organization method for training samples is presented, fault symptoms are discretized by a focusing quantization method and are then fuzzified to obtain fuzzy sets. In addition, the standard fault data which is confirmed by application is added to standard fault case database in order to improve accuracy of diagnosis system. Finally, a vibration fault diagnosis system for 600 MW turbo-generator set is designed and realized by the proposed system structure based on fuzzy neural network, its running results showed that the new system could satisfy fault diagnosis requirement of large turbo-generator set, its accuracy varied from 92 percent to 98 percent.","PeriodicalId":133842,"journal":{"name":"16th International Conference on Artificial Reality and Telexistence--Workshops (ICAT'06)","volume":"22 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133621481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
