In the systems, by comparison with the traditional ones, additional information from the UO is obtained by means of measuring the phase frequency response of the UO. In order to realize the new method multicomponent phase-tied signals are emitted and a phase shift between the components of the echo signals is measured. In order to reduce the weight and the dimensions of the equipment, parametrical emitting antennas instead of traditional ones are offered for use. The emitting element is fed with a multicomponent phase-tied signal with high frequency (in the millimeter frequency range). As a result of the nonlinear interaction of the high frequency components in the water, harmonics of the waves with a frequency difference between them are formed, i.e., a multicomponent phase-tied waves. In order to measure the reflection phase-frequency response of an UO in a wide frequency band one must vary the frequencies F and 2F of the signals and filter the waves. In the receivers of the systems phase shift measurers (PSM) are applied. Two amplifiers with double frequency conversion and highly selective elements filter the waves with frequencies F and 2F. The realization of the receiver and the PSM has many difficulties. Therefore another realization of the units is developed which does not contain highly-selective elements.","PeriodicalId":132112,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE - Russia Conference. 1999 High Power Microwave Electronics: Measurements, Identification, Applications. Resonators are usually implemented in the form of series stubs (in E-plane). Under relaxed requirements for the steepness of the frequency response, it is possible to build filters on resonant circuits with direct coupling. Resonance probes are placed in reference planes of the E-junction. Experience shows, with such a joint at the expense of the additional coupling, the equivalent Q-factor of the stubs and especially the probes is decreased. For reducing this relationship it is possible to use diaphragms or a stub with a smaller waveguide cross-section.","PeriodicalId":132112,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE - Russia Conference. 1999 High Power Microwave Electronics: Measurements, Identification, Applications. To determine the magnitude of mechanical stress in the diaphragm, we defined gauge factors from longitudinal and transverse piezoresistors on the console beam made from the same wafer as the diaphragm. Also, we made a model for mechanical stress in the diaphragm by the finite element method (FEM) by taking into account not only the uniformly distributed load on the plate of the diaphragm, but also the load on the lateral side of the diaphragm. The comparison of the calculated mechanical stress with the experimentally defined one has shown a coincidence within 20% error bound.","PeriodicalId":132112,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE - Russia Conference. 1999 High Power Microwave Electronics: Measurements, Identification, Applications. The objective of these analytical investigations on recursive type functions is to find novel topologies suitable for frequency tuneable bandstop or bandpass responses using only coupled planar ring resonators and amplifiers. We show how the noise factor of this category of filters can be analytically derived and effectively minimized by using appropriate unbalanced power couplers and amplifiers. We validate our approach with simulated examples for each topology.","PeriodicalId":132112,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE - Russia Conference. 1999 High Power Microwave Electronics: Measurements, Identification, Applications. The simplest electrodynamic model for a nonlinear device is the introduction of nonlinear boundary conditions. The linear composite (or complex) anisotropic and bianisotropic media present another field of interest. As these media may be nonlinear, it it interesting to develop the model which describes all these cases. This is the goal of the paper, which is achieved using the integral equation.","PeriodicalId":132112,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE - Russia Conference. 1999 High Power Microwave Electronics: Measurements, Identification, Applications.
