This paper proposes a soft-sensing model based on functional link neural network (FLNN) with the horizontal displacement of moment limiter as input and the load moment as output. The model can apply the single-layer network to realize the network supervised learning by adding some high-order terms. The method can improve network learning speed and simplify the network structure, and provides a new way for On-line measurement of tower crane load moment. The Monitor System of Load Moment based on FLNN about tower crane QTZ5012 is presented, the practical application show that the monitoring system implements real-time display of load moment at a low cost and improves the safety in operation, the maximum relative error is reduced to 2.02% and can satisfy the National standard GB5144-94.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121771673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The template is constructed according to car shape knowledge. The algorithm can roughly be divided into two stages, hypothesis generation and hypothesis verification. In HG step, we use Hough transform to detect wheels, with the shape knowledge we get a rectangular area to generate hypothesis area. In HV step, least squares based fitting line detection algorithm is applied to pick out the line segments in the hypothesis area of edge image, and then we detect cars by the contour knowledge. By the above process the car is detected in the image. This paper also describes the least squares fitting line detection algorithm. The experimental results of many car images show that our method has fine accuracy in car detection and costs less time.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116714886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
