The traditional signal de-noising method makes the signal's edges information ambiguous as reduce the noise, and which leads to signal's partly distortion. In this paper, based on wavelet threshold de-noising, proposed by Dohono, using an adaptive wavelet threshold to the separation of signal and noise, experiments show that the adaptive wavelet threshold method can well remove the noise, the new method can improve signal-to-noise ratio. RBF and BP neural network are two widely used feedforward neural networks, LabVIEW is a graphical programming language, which can provide users with a visual and convenient design environment. On the basis of RBF and BP neural network, the theory and method of analog circuits fault diagnosis based on ANN (Artificial Neural Network) are described. By the way of hybrid programming with LabVIEW and Matlab, the API for analog circuits fault diagnosis is established. Experimental simulation study is carried out, respectively, using RBF and BP neural network. From the fault diagnosis results, it can be seen that the method of combining ANN with LabVIEW can not only show the fault diagnosis results visually and directly, but also ensure a considerable diagnosis accuracy.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123705020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To explore this problem, we adopted an approach based on a sequence encoding descriptor by fusing PseAA (Pseudo Amino Acid) and DC (Dipeptide Composition) representing a protein sample. Here, a completely different approach, manifold learning algorithm MVP (Maximum variance projection) is introduced to extract the key features from the high-dimensional feature space. The dimension-reduced descriptor vector thus obtained is a compact representation of the original high dimensional vector. Our jackknife test results indicate that it is very promising to use the dimensionality reduction approaches to cope with complicated problems in biological systems, such as predicting the quaternary structure of proteins.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126628261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper proposes a method to keep the tracker robust to target maneuvering by selecting discriminative features from a large feature space, and constructing a velocity motion model with adaptive noise variance. Furthermore, the feature selection procedure is embedded into the particle filtering process with the aid of calculating the Bhattacharyya distance. Top-ranked discriminative features are selected into the observation model and simultaneously invalid features are removed out to adjust the object representation adaptively. The adaptive motion model is computed via a first-order linear predictor using the previous particle configuration. Experimental results on tracking basketball in video sequences demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our algorithm.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123901990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time pheromone gain is added to allocate initial pheromone reasonably in order to deal with slow searching speed brought by equivalence distributing of initial pheromone. Pheromone mutual leading method is also designed to accelerate optimizing speed.
